Lengwe National Park is quite low-key and isn’t included on many tourist itineraries. However, it is relatively accessible and can easily be added into any Malawi itinerary, especially one that also visits Majete Wildlife Reserve.

You will most likely enter the country via Kamuzu International Airport (LLW), which is 26km/16mi from the capital, Lilongwe. Some international flights fly to Chileka International Airport (BLZ), located 16km/10mi from Blantyre and much closer to Lengwe.

Lengwe is situated in the far south of Malawi. It lies 80km/50mi from Blantyre and 390km/242mi from Lilongwe. The drive takes about 1½ hours* from Blantyre and up to 7 hours* from Lilongwe.

Lengwe is less than 1 hour from Majete Wildlife Reserve.

There are no domestic flights to Lengwe.
