Great place to see birds in their natural environment- especially flamingos and pelicans. Also can see lots of herd animals drinking at the watering hole. Wasn't lucky enough to see the climbing lions- hopefully next time.

The last day in Lake Manyara was sort of anticlimactic as we didn’t see too much up close. There were more animals and variety at the other game parks.

First stop on the safari, really enjoyed it, but after comparing to Serengeti and ngorogoro, it did not have as much to see.

After visiting Tarangire and Ngorongoro: Lake Manyara was beautiful, but Tarangire and Ngorongoro were fantastic!

Excellent sightings of elephants in their family groups, splashing and rolling in the large pools, sibling brothers fighting each other by locking their tusks with one another, walking in single file to shadier trees and always checking on the younger elephants. A Park that was green, hilly and well wooded with Acacia trees that gave plenty of shade and opportunities for elephants to scratch themselves against.

We saw a lot of baboons and elephants, as well as many zebra's, wildebeest and bufallos. However, having been to Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Maasai Mara it felt that there wasn't as many animals as in the other parks, possibly because many were hidden in the bushes of the lake Manyara Park.

We were fortunate to see 2 tree climbing lions. Enjoyed the blue monkeys and varied bird life.

Lake Manyara was our first game drive on our visit. We saw elephants, baboons, wildebeest, warthogs, zebras, and giraffes, all in our first 2 hours of being there. It was a great introduction to our week long safari. Make a point of stopping at the cultural center a couple miles outside the park. Local crafts by local artisans. great gifts, and a good way so support the local folks.

There were not so easy to spot animals at Lake Manyara - compared to other National Parks.
No flamingos at the time of our visit.
Lake is beautiful though, and view at the Great Rift - stunning.
