It was really a perfect choice of a 3- day trip to Masai Mara for my family and I. we at first were very anxious to see all what we had viewed on the Google’s web page. The most interesting part of the first three days was The Great Wildebeest Migration. My children enjoyed that the most. We learnt that the several species mostly antelopes, zebras and the large herds of buffalos were migrating to the close by national park in Tanzania in search of greener pastures.
Mahali Mzuri was a great accommodation experience with the great hospitality and really not far from the parks entrance. I really enjoyed the well served African cuisine onto the great view of Africa’s great sunset. The evening bonfire was excellent where I got a chance to create best moments with my husband still enjoying the great service of the well served Mara wine which is freshly Kenyan made ,kids having gone to rest after the long scotched day.
Felix who was our great tour guide was always all happy and every day nicely responding to my children’s questions about life at the Mara.
I lastly wish to send my gratitude to Simon for his quick response to my email messages and calls before and after the tour . I thank His team and the entire wildraceafrica.com for been the best choice I made for my family tour .It was such a great experience having visited places me and my family have always been dreaming to be.

We took our balloon ride over the Maasai Mara National Reserve and saw the migration as well as many lions. The Maasai Mara is a huge park with bad roads but the animals were great and we saw a Maasai tribe as well.

Masai Mara is a huge reserve. You may travel hours to cross it from one side to another, so it is very important to rely on experienced drivers that can find where the animals are located. Excellent place for lions and cheetahs as the more emblematic species. You may see also elephants and giraffes in reasonable quantities. We have also seen the black rhino, which is quite unusual.

The resorts inside the park are very good, with excellent food and rooms. People is very friendly in all the country.

Only a few animals.
No lions, no leopards.
Scenic place, very dry landscape.
Disappointing.

The only reason I gave only 3 stars for bush vibe is because some areas of the park can get really busy, especially if there's any rare sightings (ex. leopard, river crossing, hunting). Some tourists don't know safari customs (and their guides are too polite to tell them) - talk very loud in the safari. We witnesses a hunt by a group of hyenas and some people were just screaming and talking so loud -scared them away.

Otherwise, the wildlife is abundant and very beautiful.

Maasai Mara absolutely deserves its reputation as the "must see" park in Kenya. The landscape is magnificent and the animals are abundant and just incredible. We caught the very end of the wildebeest migration, and it was like nothing we'd ever seen in our lives. There were easily 50,000 wildebeest scattered across the savannah; from a distance they looked like ants. It's a site I will never forget.

The only thing I do not recommend is visiting the Maasai village. We were uncomfortable from the start and by the end, when we were basically forced to buy souvenirs at exorbitant prices, we really felt taken advantage of. Definitely interesting to learn about the Maasai people, but this just seemed like some kind of scheme.

The wildlife is amazing! Big groups of zebra antilpoes, buffalos, wildebeests... we saw different families of lions, elephants, jirafes. The park offers different sceneries from dry savannah to green plains with different wildlife, making the safri more exciting.
