It was well organised with spectacular scenery, especially approaching Murchison Falls.

The boat ride to the falls skirts the river edge where an abundance of birds, crocs, hippos, lizards, buffalo and warthogs inhabit the shore. As we approached the Falls the experienced boat captain moved the craft into different positions for better photos. We opted to leave the boat here and trekked the last few kilometres to the top of the falls. This is a must if you are reasonably fit because it provides the best views of Murchison Falls. At the top of the falls we were met by our fantastic driver who then drove us back to our camp. An exhilarating day with out a doubt and highly recommended.

We went on a morning safari, first ferry across the Nile. Stunning to se the sunrise over the savanna. We were lucky to spot a spotted hyena, very rare to se they said. At the time being there there were a bushfire, so not so much wildlife. Although we saw animals, birds and mammals.

A variety of wildlife in a beautiful environment

Murchison Falls National Park is a large, beautiful park in Uganda. I visited the park for my first safari and I had a wonderful experience. I saw a variety of wildlife, experienced the stunning landscape and relaxed at night at a wonderful lodge. I hired a guide to take me into the park and guide me through it which worked nicely. My favorite part of the experience was seeing the elephants. We were even chases off at one point by an elephant. The park staff are lovely, the falls at amazing, and it seemed like a very good place to experience the wonders of Ugandan wildlife.

Viewing the Kabalega Falls now named Murchison Falls is simply magical. Here is where the whole river Nile, "the world's longest river" is squeezed through a 5 meter wide cleavage and pounding down through an approximately 45 meters long falls forming an amazing rainbow in the hotter part of the day. This is Uganda's largest conservation area with a vast variety of vegetation cover from open savanna, equatorial rain forest, savanna woodland and

The Falls are the most stunning waterfalls we've ever seen! Lots of game (especially giraffes), nice park.

So much to do in this off the beaten path gem!

After six months of road tripping through Eastern and Southern Africa, Murchison Falls holds up as a favorite memory. The park is stunning and there is so much to do! The boat trip is an obvious yes, but also don't miss the hike to see the falls from the other side. The sound of the thundering falls is seriously impressive! We were self driving, but hired a guide from the park and definitely recommend doing so, we were really impressed by Charles' knowledge and he definitely contributed to our enjoyment. Murchison Falls National Park is well worth a visit and Uganda was one of our very favorite countries! You will find exceptionally friendly people, excellent attractions and affordable options.

To be honest, I've never been on a safari before but it was pretty much as I dreamed of it: we've seen everything, starting the day with a leopard, going on with lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes and lots of antilopes, it was very impressive.
