First we thought that we could see only the birds, hippos and rhinos-if we are enough lucky!-. but we saw male lions and a leopard, hippos and a couple of rhino families!

We loved Lake Nakuru National Park!

So many rhinos that left me speechless!!! Didn't see flamingos from close, only when they were flying far away...but that's nature.

Main highlight :Spotting flamingos and White rhino. We could see a lot of giraffes ( around 20 of them ) moving in a group.
The nature/ scenic beauty was that of a forest, completely different from Masai Mara

Lake Nakuru National Park is a stunning destination, and the park I've enjoyed most in Africa. It is compact but brimming with wildlife, especially zebras, rhinos, giraffes, waterbucks, baboons, and many species of birds. It is located in the Rift Valley, on the coast of a large soda lake surrounded by hills. The park is only about a 2.5 hours drive from Nairobi, which makes it possible to visit it as a day trip from the capital. The drive over is spectacular. Soon after leaving the city one soon arrives at the escarpments leading down to the Rift Valley. We had lunch at a lodge in the park, which was fantastic. Highly recommended!

Beautiful park, lots of birds although fewer game. The Flamingo Hills camp we stayed in was luxurious and perfect for encountering rare birds on the verandah of your tent.
