When we were there it was flood issues to deal with. Heavy forest was a challenge but came away with many, many fine images.

I saw the White rhinos very near! Also is a place to watch flamingos, ask before if they are closer to watch, because in some cases they are far.

Supports a large number of pelicans and many other species of bird life. Not the best place to visit if you only wish to see large game.

Nakuru is quite a small park, but the lake is quite nice and there are plenty of rhinos, some lions and the occasional leopard. The water level of the lake has risen quite which has deducted the number of flamingos.

An excellent combination of birdlife and big wildlife especially the rhino's!

Lake Nakuru is an excellent combination of 'normal' wildlife, special birdlife and the rhino's. Scenery up was beautifull, you could see how pelicans are fishing together in a circle. Accomodation in both lodges was OK. Our guide was kind and knew a lot.

Not much wild life but was surprised to see a Lion with a kill and the a lone White Rhino being guarded by two rangers. As we were leaving the park what a surprised to be chased by a Rhino - that was the biggest highlight for me. Sad we could not see the famous Flamingo's as our timing was not the best.

Semi- arid but we sighted a leopard and three rhinos apart from flamingos (not many), zebras and other animals.

We went out on the lake. It was beautiful, with many birds and nice to be on the water. It was more civilized where we were where even a local wedding was going on while we were there. It was a perfect contrast to the Masai Mara safari.

Lake Nakuru National Park is set in the heart of the Rift Valley. The park is relatively small at approximately 250 square kilometres, but it should never be overlooked! Its accessibility and close proximity to Nairobi makes it an easy day trip from the capital or ideal for a couple of nights on safari.
