Safari of a lifetime with Joagro
We recently had the pleasure of going on a private safari tour with Joagro and it was incredible! From the moment we started, Jonas tailored the itinerary to our interests, ensuring we had a fantastic time and saw everything we wanted to. He was incredibly accommodating and welcoming, making our experience here special.
Our guide Petar, was also exceptional, and we can't praise him enough! He went above and beyond to make our dreams come true during the whole trip, making sure we didn't miss any of the incredible sights. His keen eye helped us spot wildlife we never would have seen on our own, including hidden cheetah cubs and so many lions! His knowledge on the local culture and animals made the experience very enriching. His warm friendly personality and genuine enthusiasm made every moment enjoyable. He was always ready to answer our questions and we learnt a lot from him, of both the local culture and wildlife!
Overall, it was a truly fantastic trip, with a very friendly team dedicated to making our experience fantastic. 100% recommendable, thank you Joagro!

Trip of a lifetime
We arranged a 4 day/ 3 night safari with Joagro and from first contact until Anuar dropped us at the airport, it was a brilliant experience. I had lots of queries initially but nothing fazed Jonas and he always replied promptly to my messages. One of my big concerns was food for my coeliac husband but he assured me that would be no problem.
We started from our hotel in Arusha and visited Tarangire and Serengeti national parks and Ngorongoro conservation area and crater over the 4 days and each was breathtaking. Ultimately, the trip was made extra special by our wonderful guide Anuar , who’s knowledge and enthusiasm was extensive and his patience with all our questions was brilliant. We stayed 2 of the 3 nights in tented safari accommodation and on these nights we ate together which really enhanced the trip.
The jeep was great, plenty of water available at all times, and each day followed the plan Anuar set out. The accommodation was all super with lovely staff and great food and no problem to get gluten free options.
On returning to our hotel, we commented that we had the whole of the next day with nothing to do and Anuar suggested a walking tour of Arusha which Joagro arranged for us and they also dropped us at the airport - all arranged at short notice for a great price.
I would highly recommend Joagro to anyone thinking of a safari in this area.

Unforgettable journey with Joagro and Peter
We booked the 7-day mid-range safari. I contacted Jonas from Joagro in January, he sent me various offers and tailored the tour to our wishes. Before the trip we contacted him again to clarify various questions. We felt that we were in very good hands with him. On the day of our pick-up, our driver Peter picked us up on time from our hotel in Arusha. We were lucky that we had the jeep to ourselves. Peter is a great driver, we had a lot of fun with him, we could ask him everything about the country and the animals. Peter took care of our hot lunch every day, which he always got from the hotel where we stayed. He also had various cold drinks in the jeep, so you don't have to worry about anything during the trip. The hotels we stayed in were all very nice and clean. The food in each hotel was also great. We liked the Into Wild Lodge in the Serengeti National Park the best. We slept in a spacious, beautifully furnished tent. During the safari in the parks we saw a lot of wild animals, Peter was very careful to make sure we saw everything well, and since we were alone in the jeep we could stop at any time to take photos. We spent a day with him in Arusha, he showed us the local market and drove us to a local coffee plantation. It was a great vacation with unforgettable moments, we would book with Joagro again at any time. Thanks to Jonas and especially to Peter for the unforgettable time, you are great.

Dreamy Safari
Our experience doing 3 days safari with Joagro Safari’s was amazing!!! We recomend it 100%.
To start, let me just say that Peter (our safari guide) was a huge important part of our Safari. Since the day that he picked us up, we immediatly felt good vibes. Peter has a lot of knowleged about the animals and that was mindblowing. Trough the entire Safari, he explained us everything and more about those wild animals and also about Tanzania and Tanzanian people and costumes. Also to mention that he was always happy to answer our questions about everything. During the Safari, more precisly, during the game drives, Peter gave us 200% trying to take us to places where we could most find and see animals. We are really thrilled to say that we were lucky to see the big five with Peter and Joagro Safari’s.
We did a private Safari in a couple and we think that it was the best choice. We had the jeep for ourselves so it was very confortable and had a lot of space for us to enjoy the views from every angle.
In what concerns to meals, we also have literally nothing bad to say about it. Our lunch was always home made and took in picnic sites and it was delicious! Breakfast and dinner were at the different campsites where we were staying and they were all also super delicious and complete! For the first night we stayed at “Into wild Africa” and that was our favourite. People were super nice as always, the food was perfect and our room was dreamy, super confortable and literally into the wild. The second night we stayed at “Ngorongoro Safari lodge” and we also have only good reviews of it. Food was delicious, people were nice and always worried about our well being and our room had stunning views.
At the end of our Safari, when getting back to the city, Jonas (the owner of the company) wanted to meet and talk to us. Truth is we have been exchaging emails for a long time planning the Safari so it was a nice gesture of him. That also showed us how important is for him to have direct feedback from the clients to keep the good job.
To finish, we have to say that Serengeti was a complete dream, it is mandatory! We also did Ngorongoro and it is also very beautiful, but Serengeti has our hearts. We can’t wait to be back with Joagro Safaris.

Joagro Safaris -reliable, professional and good value for money!
We had an experience of a lifetime with our driver/guide Anuar in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro! Anuar had a lot of knowledge about the animals, nature and culture. We completed the big five and had loads of animal spottings. The accommodations were also great, the jeep good and everything went smoothly.
Communication with the owner, Jonas, was very good right from the beginning. I got prompt answers to all my inquiries. He was also super understanding when my pre-payment didn't come through on the first try. He also made an effort to come and meet us in Tulia hotel and chat with us. He really takes good care of his customers and is 100% reliable. I checked the tour options in safaribookings.com throghouly and Joagro's 6-day private safari for two persons was clearly the best value for money.
I highly recommend Joagro safaris! It's a privately owned small local company so you can be sure to get personalized service. Thank you so much Jonas and Anuar for giving us an experience to remember!

Incredible experience
We booked a 6 day safari with joagro safaris (transport from and to airport on day 1 and 6)
It was an unbelievable experience. The planning and communication with Jonas was uncomplicated. Our driver drove very good and found the right locations to see the animals.
The route (1 day Tarangire, 2 days Serengeti, 1 day Ngorongoro) and the lodges were well selected.
We had a lot of fun and saw all big animals.

Knowledgeable
Jonas and his team were fantastic! Very professional and easy to work with. Ben, our driver had excellent driving and animal scouting skills. Our car was the most muddy! (That’s a good thing) We managed to see every animal in our 4 day safari trip (even Rhino!!) and up close with most of them.

Really good safari experience, could have been better..!
My husband and I did a 4 nights 5 days tour with Joagro Safaris. Overall we had a good experience for the entire duration. We visited Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. We loved the whole wilderness experience with our guide Anwar. I would like to detail out day by day experience -
Day 1 - Anwar picked us from the airport on time and dropped at the Hotel Tulia. The drive was pleasant and we loved the greenery around Arusha. The hotel is basic with minimum amenities, Ok for a transit one night stay.
Day 2 - We start around 8.30 am to Ndutu part of Serengeti. I feel it was quite late to start given the distance to cover and time taken to reach. The journey was good, however, we were rushed to the stay inside the Park which was towards Central Serengeti. We did mention we wanted to explore the ndutu side as January season is for migration to be around this area. We fell short by easy two hours, had we started early we would have had more time to spend before reach our camp stay.
Having said the above, the Signature Into the wild stay was breathtaking. The views were gorgeous. food was delicious and staff extremely courteous. We loved the overall experience at this luxury camp stay.
Day 3 - We started at 7.15 from the camp post breakfast, we didn't see many animals to our surprise, the park seemed empty. Our guide didn't do much tracking on this day we felt. Since we didn't see any cheetahs in the park, he said he would take us for another drive outside park to spot them and thus he was trying to rush us out of the park. We exited the park early around 1 pm with expectation of the cheetah spotting as he had mentioned, Upon exit, he took us hardly 2/3 Km towards ndutu lake on the road just on the entrance of the Serengeti gate and he said we must return as he doesn't have permit to take us on that side. We felt cheated as he rushed us out of the park and then did not continue the drive that he mentioned he would. We completely understand its luck to spot animals and it would have been OK that we didn't see cheetahs but we didn't like the misleading and then not following through. Also if we would have known that Ndutu lake needs additional permit we would have been ok to get that permit and spend more time in that area as the park was kind of empty of animals.
Also we had to wait almost 2 hours at the Nabi gate for getting clearance to check out which wasted a lot of time. We saw all other vehicles checking out faster than we did, and we were given a reason that network was slow. I am not sure if that was the real reason.
We reached the Ngorongoro wild camp quite late as our vehicle broke down. People on the way were extremely helpful they helped us alot in this situation. The camp was decent and food was also good.
Day 4 - Our guide was pushing to start for Ngorongoro safari early but he never told us the reason on the previous day that the permit to be in Ngorongoro was only till 3 pm. Again this felt misleading. We started around 7.30 am thinking the Crater is small and we can spend whole day inside looking for animals, however we didn't know about the time limit only till we started our safari on Day 4. If guide had told us in advance we would have planned to start early as he suggested. The ngorongoro safari was good, we spotted many animals. We decided to skip the lunch in the crater to increase our safari time. We only saw two lions, I think the claim that 22 lion families reside in the crater seems bit inaccurate.
Anwar dropped us at the bouganvillea hotel around 4 PM. The hotel was really good and food was super delicious.
Day 5 - We visited the Lake Manyara national park. The park has a dense jungle which was quite nice however we didn't see the tree climbing lions for which it is famous. Our guide told us that its not the season for lions in the park. I think since trip operators are the experts, they should guide tourists with such details while we do our bookings. We google information and plan the trip but if its not the best time to visit a park, then I would expect the expert tell us how to better plan the trip.
One last thing to add - we were promised Complimentary Wine and Beer for the trip but not served even on a single day. Since it was complimentary it felt awkward to ask. It would have been great to be honest and let us know if promised things would not be served for whatever reasons.
Overall the experience was good, Jonas and Anwar were warm and courteous. Only the above few issues left us a little dissatisfied given the amount of money we spent on the whole trip. If the above is addressed then Joagro would be a definitely 5/5 tour operator.
