A holiday to remember with knowledgeable personnel
4/5

Lovely early morning sunrises to meet us. Accommodation comfortable and as described on the website.

Lots of opportunities to see the wildlife in their natural surroundings: seeing the gorillas was the highlight.

I visited Uganda in 2022 and stayed at Uganda Lodge in Ruhanga with Ann and Denis. This is such a beautiful part of Uganda, so lush and green. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the lodge. I volunteered at the school for a bit and went on safaris and 2 day trips. Denis, our guide is very knowledgeable and so much fun. Denis is fun and very popular. I think everyone in Uganda knows him. Kathy, another volunteer and I did the tours with Denis and had an amazing time, just the 3 of us. You couldn't ask for a more personalized tour. We overnight at Queen Elizabeth park and Lake Mburo. Also visited Kisiizi, the Switzerland of Uganda. Its such a beautiful drive to Kisiizi to see a waterfall.
The staff at the village are helpful and a really fun bunch - so many laughs and memories. I loved interacting with the children who attended the school. The fresh food cooked daily by Mary are delicious. You don't have to volunteer at the village. You can just go for a holiday at a much better price range than your standard safari. This really is my best trip to Africa. The staff at the village, Denis. Ann and Kathy made it very special and memorable.

Free Spirit Safari was amazing from beginning to end. The wildlife we saw was way beyond our expectations. My favourite was seeing the elephants and just how close we were able to get up to them. Couldn't fault the hoilday.

Went that extra mile to ensure an amazing experience at an affordable price

Absolutely amazing experience searching for the wildlife and such excitement as each animal was spotted from the open top jeeps . The thatched roof accommodation was in a beautiful setting with hippopotamus, antelope and warthogs literally settling down for the night outside your door. Would highly recommend this affordable adventure

Extremely knowledgable and well informed, flexible, accommodating and good fun
5/5

I went on several safaris and trekking trips during my stay in Uganda and I was not disappointed. There was a variety of different trips to choose from and full itineraries which were tailored made to my needs to make the most of my time in Uganda. The trips were good value for money particularly if you are on a tight budget. The tour guide certainly made sure I got the most from the safari's seeing the animals up close with early morning and evening game drives. There was a rich variety and abundance of animals including the big five. The accommodation was simple and authentic set in parks with the wildlife on your door step. I would certainly recommend trekking with the Silverback Gorillas, a truly amazing experience and one which I will never forget. Overall a great trip and a wonderful experience, I felt part of the community seeing the real Uganda. Thanks !
