The best of the best! Unforgettable experience with an amazing company in an amazing country!
I wish I could put into words how amazing and wonderful my experience was. Fanuel has the best intentions and gives 200% effort to give you the trip of a lifetime. He will literally do anything humanly possible to please you. He is safe, professional, efficient, and accommodating. He is knowledgeable about everything from the roads to the animals to the lodges and experiences offered. The car is very nice and comfortable with cold water and phone chargers. You get to travel this beautiful country in first class with a true pro on the area. I want to send all of my closest friends and family members on this exact trip that I will treasure forever! I cannot say enough great things about this company and unforgettable experience.

Wonderful, educational, adventurous tour
I was initially skeptical about booking a private tour for just myself, where I planned to spend 6 days and 5 nights camping, driving, and adventuring with a male tour guide (as I didn't have an option for a female). I was concerned about it feeling awkward or perhaps being dangerous somehow.
Aina, the person at Peoples Tours who helped me make the decision, assured me it would be ok.
I finally decided I would take the risk.
I am very happy I did.
Aina's communications and follow through left a little something to be desired. I do not feel there was enough communication, nor that she adequately prepared me for the trip. Be mindful to ask very specific questions, and request more information, as I think they assume that the itinerary they send is enough information. Also, if you have dietary restrictions, it is very important to note that with them and be prepared for the possibility that there may not be options for you, even though they say there will be. Always bring snacks! My snacks saved me a few times.
However, ultimately, I am happy with the tour and am grateful for how patient Aina was with my process. She was also always kind and polite in our exchanges.
What has made me give the tour 5 stars, is my guide, Ricky. He was an INCREDIBLE guide. So amazingly knowledgeable about everything, from the history of Namibia, the cultures, to geology, the geography, to ecology, to biology, to botany...truly everything. Talking with him was very exciting, as I got to learn all about Namibia, the animals, the plants, the natural spaces we were in, the people, the traditions, and also their heritage and languages. He was also fun to interact with and made the long car rides really interesting. He was very patient with me, and also very caring. By the end of the trip we were laughing a lot and I felt like I was leaving with having a new friend and adventure buddy.
I never once felt uncomfortable with him, like I have with so many male guides, and this was so relieving for me.
When you book, ask for Ricky!
This was a once in a lifetime experience. I am changed from this. I wish it could have lasted longer. It was worth every single penny. Absolutely.
Namibia is a breathtakingly beautiful country and has a lot to teach and offer the rest of the world.

Amazing, very responsive and very happy to look at different options. Ms Emilia is wonderful.
I booked this tour on line after reviewing and reading the amazing reviews. I was traveling from NZ on my own and asked how many other people would be traveling, and it ended up being Sacky (Tour guide/driver) and myself for 14 days and 13 nights.
From when I landed in Windhoek and met Sacky, we had the most amazing time exploring the beauty of Namibia - extreme landscapes to the most incredible animals - I love photography.
Sacky was an incredible guide and driver - very knowledgable, thoughtful, kind and we had lots of laughs. He loves what he does and you can see this every day. Sacky is well known and respected at the different lodges we stayed at.
When you think about how you arrive and then spend 14 days with a person you have never met, we got on so well, learnt so much about Namibia and shared about each others lives.
Some of the days involve a lot of driving 4-6 hours on gravel roads with lots of bumps and potholes, we just got on with it and could relax and enjoy the different scenario. Sacky has a great music selection.
I was able to take amazing photographs of the wildlife and elephants being my favorite, there were some incredible moments of just sitting in the ute and these beautiful animals just walking past you.
Sacky would always discuss what we were doing the next day and time to meet.
I can not rate Sacky highly enough, in all the 14 days there was nothing that we argued or complained about.
We became good friends during this experience and will remain so.
If you get a chance to have Sacky as your guide - you will be very lucky and have an amazing journey.

Amazing trip around a breathtaking country
We have just completed our 8-day private tour around Namibia with People Tours and Safari. The country had always been a bucket list destination for us and thanks to the team's hard work and due care, the trip was an amazing experience that exceeded our expectations.
While we planned the trip fairly last minute, the team still managed to prepare a few iterations of the itinerary for us. Aina was very accommodating and worked closely with us to tailor the itinerary to our tight schedule. She also helped us assess different accommodation and activity options to suit our needs best. Another deciding factor that led us to select People Tours and Safari was their online itinerary, which we consider to be very well presented and easy to follow compared to other providers. While some communications could be improved, in overall we are happy with the team's service.
Eeno was the guide who took us to Namibia's most breathtaking landscapes, including Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, Kamanjab, and Etosha. Eeno was very attentive, on time, and patient with us. He drove safely on the whole 1,500km journey and demonstrated good knowledge of the Etosha Park area. We sensed a big heart and great empathy from him to others, especially the less fortunate whom we met along the way. Besides, we had a comfortable airport pick-up with Luke and a great Windhoek city tour with Timo. Timo was particularly charismatic and we really enjoyed speaking with him. We experienced the city from the perspective of a local, which was exactly what we were looking for.

Friendly, accomodating, reasonable, great
I booked a 3 day tour of the Soussvlei and Sandwich harbor with them. People's safari team was very accommodating to my needs and schedule. I was able to customize my tour, add sandwich harbor, start the tour on the day I wanted too. They were much more reasonable than others offering the same tours, but they were as good, or even better than others in service.
My guide Ricky was very knowledgeable. He knew all the places, wildlife, etc and I learned a great deal about Namibia and its landscape through him. He was warm, friendly, was happy to take my photos (I was traveling solo). I enjoyed our conversations during long drives. He drove well, we were always on schedule and we were the first ones in line and to climb Dune 45! The camp at Soussvlei was nice, clean, and Ricky set that up for me.
People's safari is a very good company based on the experience I have with them on this tour and Ricky was a great guide to do this tour with. I highly recommend to use them for your Namibia travels. It is a beautiful country and I intend to go back there and plan my travels with them again.

Fabulous experience with a great guide
Timo collected us on time, he was a great guide and went out of his way to make us feel happy and comfortable. Efficient whatsapp communication at all times made it easy to meet for all meals and to ensure our tour of the park began early enough to fit everything in. We stayed in the water hole chalet which was brilliant, and all meals were excellent. Timo was engaging and safely drove us everywhere and we felt like a little family for the duration of the tour. We feel it's definitely value for money considering the transport, accommodation and food/drinks are all of a high standard and we will certainly use your company again if we ever return.

Excellent
Thanks People Tours for the unforgettable 6 days trip through Namibia. I was short on time and started looking for a tour just 3 days before the trip. Aina from People Tours responded swiftly and tailored the tour to fit my budget. Leonard the guide/driver was great. He made a long road trip somewhat enjoyable. He‘s also good with his timing. We were always one step ahead of the crowd in Sossusvlei.
All in all I had a really good time on the trip.

Drove safely from each stopping point; quiet.
Pros (+) We made it to each location safely and in a relatively timely manner. The hotel in Swakopmond and Desert Lodge were both great stays. The food at the Lodge was excellent. The tour to Dune 45 and Big Daddy were great. The day trip in Swakopmund was outstanding.
Cons(-) The trip would be better if we were able to choose the restaurants. We ate in Hungry Lion on the drive and Pubs in Swakopmund. It would have been better if the meals were not included in the cost and we were in our own to find a restaurant of our choice. Also the tour started a few hours late and the communication regarding the late start and the plan to fill the time was poor.

Like a family member who was warm and knowledgeable about their home you're visiting.
Peoples Safari is top notch. Our passports didn't come in on time last year and they allowed us to return in 2024 with very little of an increase, and without a total loss of what I had paid in full already. It was so sad we couldn't come in 2023, but they truly communicated with me, via WhatsApp, every step of the way to make sure we still got to take our dream vacation! Our lodge was beautiful, and there was a lot of choices at the restaurant for each meal. There just nothing to complain about.
Our guide, Fanuel, was so thorough and sincere with each step making sure we were 100% pleased! Speaking with him was like talking to a family member. He really wanted us happy. He stopped when we needed, and tried so hard to find all of the animals with us in Etosha. He took photos and he offered to share with us (his camera was much better than ours) and was very prepared with snacks and water. He even stopped to buy us snacks we liked. You would be at a loss of you didn't hire this company (and Fanuel). Once we returned to Windhoek, in fact, we invited he and his family to dinner with us! Don't miss out!
