A lifetime experience in Namibia
We had the most amazing 9 days 8 nights holiday booked with African Wanderer. Hanneke is the best host during our stay in her home country and has been responsive, professional and trustworthy from assisting me planning out trip, booking transportation and accommodation and getting our travel e-visas. Our guide, Sheona, is about the same age like us and we made the great girls roadtrip ever. She was attentive, helpful and friendly, we call her our own Hannah Montana cause she looked like Miley Cyrus a lot haha! To visit Namibia is a dream came true for all of us and the most unforgettable memories was to look at the whole galaxy during the nights at Soussus Dune Lodge and Quivertree Forest Camp and at Zannier Sonop you can even watch a movie under the sky full of stars ! We recently spent an amazing 8 days in Namibia, a trip that was on our bucket-list for a long time. Superb client-tailored itinerary
When we decided to visit Namibia, we did not know where to start to create our itinerary. You can find a lot of pre-made itineraries on the web, and they always cover the same tourist places. Not many agencies are open to changing their itineraries. African Wanderer Tours + Safari, instead, was great. We have been in contact the whole time with Hanneke, who is nice and patient; she provides you with a lot of details and gives you a lot of suggestions. She created the perfect itinerary for us after we provided her with all the info about the places we wanted to visit. She carefully listened to our requests, and we even chose some places we stayed during our vacation. She cares about all the details and wants everything to be perfect. Also, during our vacation, she was always ready to reply to our emails, and she provided us with many suggestions about activities to do, roads to take, and places to visit. And she also organised a wonderful birthday dinner on our last day in Namibia. I cannot recommend more her travel agency if you are a traveller who wants to visit Namibia at his/her own pace.

We had a very individual and perfectly organised tour in July 2022. The highlights were the jeep safari in the Namib and the animals in Etosha. Accommodation and food were typical of the country and very nice. An all-around carefree package, highly recommended!!

We are two elderly people, but we still have a great desire to travel ... we wanted to visit Namibia, we wanted to rent a comfortable off-road vehicle and have a local guide who spoke Italian and who also acted as our driver, we had a busy schedule to see more things possible… We contacted some Windhoek tour operators, and African Wanderer immediately convinced us: clear, precise and quick answers to our questions, valuable advice on some adjustments to our itinerary, the right attention to special needs or requests and the effort to always find appropriate solutions, for example, a fridge in the car for medicines, given that at a certain age we also have to live with aches and pains!!! All thanks to Hanneke, a competent, professional and always available person!!! We stayed in fantastic lodges, such as the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge set in fiery red sandstone rocks, or the Bagatelle in the Kalahari desert with bungalows with private pools ...!!!
We tasted the local cuisine, grilled zebra meat, kudu, springbok, wildebeest... delicious! We concluded our evenings sipping a glass of Amarula, contemplating beautiful sunsets and then observing the stars, the most unknown to us. The presence of Benjamin, our guide, helped us to appreciate every moment of the day; even the long journeys always held surprises in store for us: birds, nests, insects, and plants aroused our curiosity and became the subject of explanations and subjects to immortalise with endless photos. And then the contact with the local tribes, which to us tourists seemed to be in difficulty maintaining their identity. I do not express myself on the 'must' to visit; those are not to be told, they are to be experienced, they are there to be contemplated, to excite, excite, impress, create emotions, amazement... Namibia, we miss you!!

Outstanding
We had an amazing three-week holiday in Namibia during July 2022. Hanneke from African Wanderer’s was brilliant. We were travelling with our children (aged 8 and 10 years old) and had never been to Africa before.
Hanneke built us an amazing itinerary with wonderful lodges and activities. She was on hand for questions (there were lots!), and we kept in regular contact while travelling in Namibia. The detail of the itinerary was great, even down to recommended lunch stops along the journey. I highly recommend African Wanderer; being based in Namibia gave them a great insider knowledge of the area, which was important when travelling with children.

Just wonderful
We booked our Namibia Tour 2023 through African Wanderer Tours + Safaris, which was perfect. The contact with Hanneke was always very warm from the beginning to the end, and the information and suggestions made me want more. A video travel plan a good 14 days before the start of the trip was awesome. The route, the accommodations and our guide, Karin Lühl, were brilliant. A pretty information bag with additional small gifts rounds off the whole thing nicely during the safari.
