Brilliant Safaris. The clue is in the name
Brilliant Safaris. The clue is in the name.
We did the Mid Budget 7night/6day northern Tanzania circuit of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater.
We originally booked to do a shared (up to 6 person) tour but others who had booked wanted private so we got a lucky free upgrade.
Our tour guide George was an angel, he was incredible. He was so good to us. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and worked so, so hard for us that we were lucky enough to spot the big 5 on numerous occassions! His passion and dedication was second to none and he really went above and beyond our expectations. He always made sure we had the best spot and manouvered his jeep to get us to the front particularly with the more illusive animals e.g. cheetah, leopard, baby elephants, black rhino with a calf and lion cubs. He also prepared us lunch from a full hamper everyday rather than small individual lunch boxes and was excpetionally kind to others. He was the reason we had such an incredible experience that we will treasure forever. An amazing man.
The accommodation was exceptional. It was much better than we anticipated.
Pazuri Inn was beautiful, comfortable and welcoming after our day of flying.
Eileen's Trees Inn was full of flora and matched the Pazuri closely in it's design.
The food was buffet style and was fresh and varied, catering to most palates for sure.
Into Wild Africa was an accommodation highlight though. Nestled in the middle of the Serengeti was an oasis of comfort and joy. It was like 5 star glamping. Zebra, Buffalo, Warthog and Baboons would wander rather close to our tents. Lions roared out their territory. It was just what we wanted and more. George also organised a 'happy honeymoon' cake for us which was a lovely touch
Everyone we came into contact with on safari was so nice, welcoming and helpful. The staff could not do enough for you.
I cannot recommend Brilliant Safaris and George as your guide enough.

Perfekt organisation, absolutely professional, always fast and supportive
We chose Brilliant Safari because our son booked his honeymoon in 2023 with them and was very impressed.
We had a fantastic guide and driver in Josuah. Josuah had the eyes of an eagle and was able to spot animals lying in the savannah grass even when driving on the washed-out sand tracks. Unbelievable! Joshua was also able to tell us a lot about the animals, their behaviour and Tanzania. We really enjoyed our time with him.
We stayed in wonderful accommodation with excellent food and friendly people.
At camp in the Serengeti, buffalo grazed beside our tent at night and we could hear the lions. But we always felt safe.
It was an unforgettable time. We would have liked to stay longer.

Well organised, informative, flexible to needs - definitely recommended
• Safari guide - very good guide, informative and friendly. kept a nice clean vehicle considering the dust!
• Gran Melia Hotel - a hotel we wish we could have spent more time at. Shame it was such a short sleep/stay, but what a grand place!
• Tarangire Park– a great introduction to safari – excellent animal viewings
• Ngorongoro Castle – a lovely hotel, very friendly people, lovely welcome.
• Serengeti
• Dancing Duma – really enjoyed this place to stay. Again lovely people, very hospitable. Accommodation was very good for a tent safari lodge. Excellent.
• General Serengeti safari – Loved all of it, amazing place, really great safari (be ready for bumps and dust!). We even liked the travel to see parts of Africa that we wouldn’t otherwise see.
• Ngorongoro Crater Reserve – loved this place and a good summary day.
• Flight out to Zanzibar – all good and pick up was there and waiting.
• Zanzibar - Mora Resort was excellent. Just right for a nice relaxed week. People were lovely, food selection amazing. The only gripe I would have is that any extras such as Spa, sports and things like laundry are ridiculously expensive. Otherwise really good and would go back!

Excellent and unforgettable experience
Our safari guide Joshua is so nice and extremely knowledgable on all of the animals. You could tell that he really cares and is very passionate about the animals. He shared his knowledge of the animals, the history of the parks, the culture and more. The first two days in National Park, we already seen all the big fives, which we must give credit to Joshua's professionalism.
Lightness from the office also helped us a lot with her quick response to enhance the planning of this trip.
I am grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime journey and will undoubtedly cherish the memories forever.

Safari of a lifetime with Brilliant & Osbert!
We had an amazing 4 day safari with Brilliant Adventures and our guide Osbert.
Before the trip even started, communication with Julieth was clear & easy as we worked together to customize our itinerary. Once we arrived in Tanzania, everything went smoothly and we really appreciated the attention to detail as the truck was extremely clean and outfitted with everything we might need for the next few days on the road - snacks, drinks, hats, binoculars, etc.
On the drive to the Serengeti, Osbert shared many interesting details about life in Tanzania as well as its history, culture, and close relationship with nature. His passion for wildlife was immediately evident as he was very respectful of the animals (especially compared to some other safari drivers that we saw!) and also extremely knowledgeable about each type. Osbert made sure that we saw tons of animals, including the big 5 and multiple river crossings, and we were extremely grateful that we had him as our guide. He often spotted animals in the distance that I never would have noticed myself.
Overall, I highly recommend locally owned & operated Brilliant Adventures as the choice for your safari in Tanzania.

Great safari company!
I went to safari for 7 nights with my family of four.
We really enjoyed our safari and our guide Bony was super nice a d helpful.
One of our biggest highlight was to see a cheetah catch a gazelle!
We modified our tour last minute to add a visit to Northern Serengeti to see the Great Migration and Lightness was very helpful to make the change happen. Even if we did not see the wildebeest cross the river, it was amazing to see so many of them.
My only recommendation would be to skip Lake Manyara because it’s a park with so much forest density that you don’t see many animals.
Thank you for the great safari to Bony and all the Brilliant team!

Brilliant
The tour operator was excellent. From day one until the very last day they were really supporting and made the entire journey very comfortable and enjoyable. First class service in everything. Special thanks to our first of all friend and then tour guide Joshua. A really expert and enthusiast for Wildlife. Every day by ourside, to explain every single detail and support every request that we had.

The best operator we could have ever chosen! Perfect in all the Safari phases!
Brilliant deeply took care of me and my girlfriend starting from the beginning! We asked for a quote in the website and the company always replied us with punctuality, efficiency and a great kindness, ensuring the realisation of our whises and flexibly adapting the program!
The company welcome when we landed was done perfectly, with a useful briefing explaining well the full Safari program! From the beginning to the end, our guide was incredible: always professional and in the meantime nice and smiling, always punctual and willing to satisfy our requests! He showed us plenty of different animals and gave us unforgettable moments inside the nature!
In a few words: a huge THANKS A LOT, Brilliant!

Bony (driver) is brilliant
Was a once of a lifetime trip, and our driver Bony was the reason for it. Bony was outstanding, knows the best spots, where all the animals are, friendly, and was dedicated to make our trip worth while. He made sure everything was okay, food, accomodation, in turn contributing to the perfect trip. In terms of value for money, it is definitely worth it. Overall the service provided was 10/10, and could not complain

Brilliant Safaris and Boni are awesome!!
Brilliant Safaris made this adventure perfect. Our guide and friend, "Boni" was excellent. Everyone worked to make sure that we had all we needed and that we were taken care of. We visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. We saw all that we hoped too, including the Big 5. From the moment we got off the plane until we boarded for home, we had no worries - Hakuna Matata! Boni taught us some Swahili and his knowledge of the Serengeti is amazing. We would gladly return to experience this again!
