A well-organised safari with a fun and knowledgeable guide and loads of great wildlife
We had a great 2 day safari in Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater national parks in Tanzania where we saw a lot of wildlife every close up and almost everything we wanted to see (only the rhinos eluded us). The days were quite long but the time spent in the national parks was amazing and unforgettable and I would definitely recommend the 2 day safari offered by Almighty Kilimanjaro. We were well looked after by William our driver and he definitely knew his wildlife and where to find the more elusive species like leopards, hyenas and lions.

Almighty Kilimanjaro are a fantastic, supportive and professional tour company.
We had a great time climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Our guides and porters were fantastic, so supportive and helpful. Our chef made us three hot meals a day, fueling us for the climb. The tent provided was good and our kit moved from camp to camp by a lovely group of porters.
I highly recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro as a tour company. We wouldn't have made it to the summit without them.

GO SOLO, GO ALMIGHTY KILIMANJARO
As a solo traveler, I summited Kilimanjaro on July 24, 2024, with a local registered company called Almighty Kilimanjaro, and I couldn't recommend them more. Coming alone to a foreign country (I'm from Spain) can be a little overwhelming, but I always felt very safe from the beginning. They took care of me like I was one of their own.
Choosing a local company is not only cost-effective, often half the price of international companies, but it also means contributing more directly to the local economy (and their pockets). I contacted Almighty Kilimanjaro via their website and then through WhatsApp with the owner Rashid. Everything was clear from the start—we agreed on a price and schedule, and the trip was organized smoothly.
Accommodation:
The Salinero Kilimanjaro Hotel, where I stayed at the beginning and end of the trip, was a gated hotel with excellent security. The staff were very attentive and helpful, making for a great stay. The breakfast buffet was also quite good.
The Hike:
I took the Marangu route (5 days) and reached the summit thanks to the incredible guide, John Damian, and his team—Joseph, Enro, Julius, and the chef, Aalbad. Initially, I was concerned about the elevation since I had never hiked/climbed that high before, but the team was always there to answer my questions and calm my nerves. They checked my oxygen levels and pulse twice a day and ensured I followed all safety procedures.
We had daily briefings about the next day's plans, including the route, weather conditions, clothing, and items to pack. (If you don’t own gear, they conduct a gear check at the beginning of the trip, allowing you to rent necessary items at an affordable price). Always follow your guide's advice; if they suggest using poles, do it—you'll need them later on.
Attention to Detail:
The team's attention to detail was incredible. They were always watching over me. The food was another highlight—Aalbad, the cook, prepared nutritious meals every day, rivaling those from a nice restaurant.
Extra Activities:
If you have extra time before or after the climb, visiting the Materuni Waterfalls and going on the coffee tour there is a must. Located in the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park, you'll learn about the Chaga people and how to make some of the best coffee you've ever tasted.
Final Thoughts:
During my time there, I was treated like family by John, the crew, and the driver, Abduly. I now feel like I have family in Tanzania. For aspiring climbers, get the best value for your money—go local, go with Almighty Kilimanjaro. Asante sana ndugu, tutaonana hivi karibuni (Thank you, brothers, hope i can see you soon).

Exceptional, professional in every aspect
Words cannot express my gratitude and admiration that I have for the Almighty Kilimanjaro team that was responsible for me reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro. This was by far the hardest thing I have ever done as far as overcoming my fears.
Led by Amiry our head guide, this experience was the best it could be. The attention to detail, concern, observancy, communication, humor and skill are unmatched. We also had Thomas , John ,mkude and Raphael as our guides. Almighty works like a machine, and like any, all parts are important. The porters, cooks, waiters, camp setters, water porter, etc. are professional, caring, and always ready to help and lend a hand where needed. All are important and treated as important parts of this operation.
Altitude (Above the rest)
I have to say a special thank you to Amiry and John who assisted me on the really challenging parts (for me) - going downhill and going near edges and tricky footwork, especially on the Baranco Wall and coming down from the summit. I had to overcome alot of fear. Their patience and flexibility were unwaivering. Also, during the summit night/day, I had a porter, Suma - (iron man) who held my backpack, reminded me to drink water, and was there when I needed support getting up and down the mountain. All were angels in my book.
Aptitude and Attitude (Exemplary)
In addition to all of the hard skills or aptitude that the Almighty kilimanjaro team has to have including navigating Kilimanjaro, administering health checks, assessing illnesses, guiding people of all ages and abilities, managing timing of the daily hikes based on the speed of participants, insuring the safety of all, the attributes that set them apart are their attitude and people skills. Communication, patience, honesty, integrity, calmness, flexibility and humor - all exemplary attributes I experienced.
I would not hesitate to recommend this crew to anyone...so blessed and lucky to have made this trek and reaching the ultimate summit, with them.

Professional, friendly and genuinely great people!
Amazing experience! I can’t recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro enough if you’re looking to book your Kilimanjaro trek.
We chose to do the 6 day Machame route and felt like the tempo and workload was very manageable (we are both 23 and fairly fit).
We loved that each day was different in terms of scenery, terrain and views. Our personal favourites were day 2 where we got amazing views of Mount Meru in the distance throughout the day and an epic sunset over the peak at night and obviously the sunrise views from the summit on day 5.
The team at Almighty Kilimanjaro really make the trip amazing though! Our group leader, Innocent, was an excellent motivator and genuinely a great guy to be around. He made us all feel very safe throughout the trek and on nights 2,3 and 4 we got our oxygen levels and heart rates checked by him and also a check list on other potential symptoms of altitude sickness.
Freddie was our second guide who was also very friendly, helpful and caring. These two were very professional and good at their jobs.
We would like to mention Simon who seemed to be a Jack-of-all-trades. Throughout the trek he began as a porter, before helping the chef in the evenings. Once our group spilt into the people doing 6 days and the others 7 days, Simon became a guide alongside Innocent for the final push to the summit. Without both of their positive attitudes and help on the last push, I’m not convinced we would have made it! On the last evening Simon helped manage the camp and served us our meals etc too. He was an amazing guy.
We’d also like to mention the chef, Emmanuel and sever Yusto. The food was very impressive each day considering the circumstances and the equipment they had to work with. We had lovely hot meals every day.
With Yusto’s impeccable professionalism, politeness and helpfulness he could work in a 5 star restaurant in the UK, we really felt like we were treated like royalty!
Lastly, we can’t forget about the amazing porters, the graft they put in is nothing short of incredible! The speed they ascend and descend to ensure we got good spots at the campsite was admirable and they were all so friendly too.
We can’t recommend this trip and company enough. Great value for money, communication before hand was good and the hotel that was provided either side of the trek was beautiful. Many companies who do this trip are owned by people from the other side of the world. However, Almighty Kilimanjaro is owned and managed by Tanzanians.

Brilliant 8 day Lemosho Route hike!
I booked the 8 day Lemosho route hike with Almighty Kilimanjaro via The Adventure People. The hike was fantastic, and our guides (Joseph and Muni) were both brilliant throughout. They were kind, keen to answer our many questions, and explained lots to us about the terrain and the mountain along the way. I booked as a solo traveller, and together we were a group of two which worked well. The wider team of cook/waiter/porters were also excellent, and I cannot thank them enough for their amazing efforts, and helping to get us to the summit. They always arrived ahead of us at the campsite, and set up our tents/prepared food etc, and were very reliable and helpful. The hike itself was well planned, and we had plenty of time for rest and recovery along the way. I would highly recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro, they were great. Thank you!

An amazing 7 days on Kilimanjaro
Our guides Muntari and Frankie, and the rest of the crew gave us an amazing experience on the Machame route up Kilimanajro. They looked after us every step of the way and made it the trip of a lifetime for our group. The views, the hiking, the local knowledge—they couldn't have done a better job on any of it.
Some great things about the trip:
- The personal comforts given to us each day, like being woken up for tea in our tents each morning, and hot water to wash ourselves before/after hiking, were fantastic
- Massive meals for breakfast/lunch/dinner that tasted amazing and kept us fueled throughout the trip
- Setting up a private toilet for our group at each of the campsites (100% needed)
The best thing they did was the attention and care shown to our safety. Even though several members of the group fell ill with altitude sickness, they made sure we were in capable hands and everyone had a great time.
Lastly, Amani deserves a personal shoutout for doing a fantastic job as our waiter. He was a great laugh and really made the trip unforgettable.

Almighty!
Had an amazing experience trekking Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route with Almighty! I was traveling by myself and was paired with another traveler for the duration. During my whole visit in Tanzania Almighty took care of everything and were helpful with all questions.
The guides Muni and Joseph were super knowledgeable and helped us enjoy the trip safely! Joseph also had a great sense of how to time our climb on summit day so we reached the peak at sunrise!
Big thank yous to the chef Abu and waiter God Bless and the porter who made our trip possible!
