Wonderful Safari, Professionally organised
5/5

In August 2024 Brilliant organised a Safari for my family and myself, a party of 5 people. It was an 8 day Safari starting in Arusha. We visited Tarangire National Park staying at Acacia Farm Lodge, Ngorongoro Crater staying at Manyara Serena Lodge, central Serengeti staying at Serengeti Pure Tented Camp then on to northern Serengeti staying at Nyikani Migration Camp. We flew back from the central Serengeti to Arusha and thought that that was a good idea as it avoided a long drive over sometimes bumpy roads.

The safari was very professionally organised for us and we received all the information we required before the Safari. This was very helpful to us. The organisation was excellent and all went exactly to plan. Following this plan you do need to be prepared for some long drives over sometimes rough roads.

All of the parks were worthwhile as each had its special features. But of course the highlight was the Wildebeest migration in the Northern Serengeti. However we did find that the number of tourist there was a bit overwhelming. But we had an excellent driver/guide named George. He was very knowledgeable, very hard working and excellent at positioning us just right so we saw all the animals, some up very close.

All of the accommodation was first class and the staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and entertaining with their renditions of "Jumbo Jumbo". We could easily have stayed longer at each of our accommodation places if we had had more time. We particularly enjoyed the tented camps where the atmosphere was very authentic and the staff exceptional.

Overall we had a first class Safari

Amazing Operator, Fantastic Tour, & The Best Guide Ever
5/5

Eight months ago, in my quest for a tour provider for a Tanzanian safari, I stumbled upon Brilliant Safaris and Adventures after speaking with various companies. The agent I had the pleasure of interacting with, Julieth, stood out for her exceptional responsiveness and thoroughness in addressing all my inquiries. Her skillful assistance in crafting the perfect honeymoon itinerary tailored to our budget and specific needs made the planning process seamless and stress-free. The choice to move forward with Brilliant over other companies was evident.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, we were met by our tour guide for the week, Boni. He promptly took us to our hotel for the night. Brilliant Safaris handled all bookings, ensuring we only had to show up at the airport. The remainder of the trip was meticulously planned and organized, leaving us carefree.

The wildlife exceeded our wildest imaginations. On our first safari day, we encountered lions, zebras, warthogs, giraffes, elephants, and hyenas, among others. This incredible start set the tone for the rest of our adventure.

Our guide, Boni, was an exceptional companion throughout the week. His friendly demeanor, humor, and extensive knowledge made our safari experience unforgettable. We consider him a friend after spending eight days in his company.

During our two full days planned for the Mara River wildebeest migration crossing, we spoke with others who had waited days to catch a glimpse. Boni's instincts and expertise led us to the perfect spot for witnessing the crossing just ten minutes after our arrival. We were fortunate enough to witness two magical crossings within a span of three hours. Boni's skill and intuition played a crucial role in these remarkable encounters.

Throughout the rest of the trip, we witnessed an elephant fight up close, approached a cheetah (a rare sight as they usually keep a distance), observed giraffes crossing the Mara River, came across an injured lion whose family had left him, had zebras outside our camp's front door, got up close with a male lion napping, and encountered a mama lion and her cubs feasting on a buffalo they had killed, among many other unforgettable moments. Our estimation would be that we saw hundreds of thousands of animals.

I extend my highest recommendation to anyone seeking to plan their ideal safari. Bravo to Boni, Julieth, and the team at Brilliant Safaris for creating an exceptional and unforgettable experience.

It was a wonderful Tanzania safari with Brilliant Adventures and Safaris. Our consultant Lightness is very nice and patient. She gave us advices based on our requirements. Our driver and tour guide, Joshua, is very professional and experienced. He always He always puts our safety and experience first. During the 6-days safari, we saw various animals, especially very rare honey badger, which is surprised. Joshua also knows a lot about the safari vehicles, so my boyfriend talked a lot with him. They became to friends:).

I would say this is an unforgettable journey of life span. Everything was great! Travel with Brilliant Adventures and Safaris is a good choice if you wanna have a memorable journey in Tanzanian!

Thank you Brilliant Adventures and Safaris for a fantastic safari experience!
5/5

My husband and I would like to thank Brilliant Adventures and Safaris for a wonderful safari in Tanzania.

We selected the Serengeti Safari & Zanzibar – 11 Days, 10 Nights private tour package in mid-luxury accommodations and we were very satisfied with our choice. The communication was smooth, professional, and we appreciated the company’s transparency (no hidden fees).

Our guide Joshua was very polite, he made us feel welcome and pampered every step of the way. He is also deeply experienced about the nature, animals, and Tanzanian culture. His explanations were informative and interesting. We appreciated the comfortable vehicle and great quality of the food — every day during the safari we had a proper meal including a main and a dessert.

All the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The Acacia Farm Lodge and Dancing Duma Luxury Camp in particular felt authentic, with impeccable service and attention to detail from the staff.

Would wholeheartedly recommend this agency for anyone wishing to have an excellent experience of Tanzania. This was high up on our bucket list and Brilliant delivered a tour above our expectations.

Brilliant Safaris. The clue is in the name
5/5

Brilliant Safaris. The clue is in the name.

We did the Mid Budget 7night/6day northern Tanzania circuit of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater.

We originally booked to do a shared (up to 6 person) tour but others who had booked wanted private so we got a lucky free upgrade.

Our tour guide George was an angel, he was incredible. He was so good to us. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and worked so, so hard for us that we were lucky enough to spot the big 5 on numerous occassions! His passion and dedication was second to none and he really went above and beyond our expectations. He always made sure we had the best spot and manouvered his jeep to get us to the front particularly with the more illusive animals e.g. cheetah, leopard, baby elephants, black rhino with a calf and lion cubs. He also prepared us lunch from a full hamper everyday rather than small individual lunch boxes and was excpetionally kind to others. He was the reason we had such an incredible experience that we will treasure forever. An amazing man.

The accommodation was exceptional. It was much better than we anticipated.
Pazuri Inn was beautiful, comfortable and welcoming after our day of flying.

Eileen's Trees Inn was full of flora and matched the Pazuri closely in it's design.

The food was buffet style and was fresh and varied, catering to most palates for sure.

Into Wild Africa was an accommodation highlight though. Nestled in the middle of the Serengeti was an oasis of comfort and joy. It was like 5 star glamping. Zebra, Buffalo, Warthog and Baboons would wander rather close to our tents. Lions roared out their territory. It was just what we wanted and more. George also organised a 'happy honeymoon' cake for us which was a lovely touch

Everyone we came into contact with on safari was so nice, welcoming and helpful. The staff could not do enough for you.

I cannot recommend Brilliant Safaris and George as your guide enough.

Perfekt organisation, absolutely professional, always fast and supportive
5/5

We chose Brilliant Safari because our son booked his honeymoon in 2023 with them and was very impressed.
We had a fantastic guide and driver in Josuah. Josuah had the eyes of an eagle and was able to spot animals lying in the savannah grass even when driving on the washed-out sand tracks. Unbelievable! Joshua was also able to tell us a lot about the animals, their behaviour and Tanzania. We really enjoyed our time with him.
We stayed in wonderful accommodation with excellent food and friendly people.
At camp in the Serengeti, buffalo grazed beside our tent at night and we could hear the lions. But we always felt safe.
It was an unforgettable time. We would have liked to stay longer.

Well organised, informative, flexible to needs - definitely recommended
5/5

• Safari guide - very good guide, informative and friendly. kept a nice clean vehicle considering the dust!
• Gran Melia Hotel - a hotel we wish we could have spent more time at. Shame it was such a short sleep/stay, but what a grand place!
• Tarangire Park– a great introduction to safari – excellent animal viewings
• Ngorongoro Castle – a lovely hotel, very friendly people, lovely welcome.
• Serengeti
• Dancing Duma – really enjoyed this place to stay. Again lovely people, very hospitable. Accommodation was very good for a tent safari lodge. Excellent.
• General Serengeti safari – Loved all of it, amazing place, really great safari (be ready for bumps and dust!). We even liked the travel to see parts of Africa that we wouldn’t otherwise see.
• Ngorongoro Crater Reserve – loved this place and a good summary day.
• Flight out to Zanzibar – all good and pick up was there and waiting.
• Zanzibar - Mora Resort was excellent. Just right for a nice relaxed week. People were lovely, food selection amazing. The only gripe I would have is that any extras such as Spa, sports and things like laundry are ridiculously expensive. Otherwise really good and would go back!

Excellent and unforgettable experience
5/5

Our safari guide Joshua is so nice and extremely knowledgable on all of the animals. You could tell that he really cares and is very passionate about the animals. He shared his knowledge of the animals, the history of the parks, the culture and more. The first two days in National Park, we already seen all the big fives, which we must give credit to Joshua's professionalism.

Lightness from the office also helped us a lot with her quick response to enhance the planning of this trip.

I am grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime journey and will undoubtedly cherish the memories forever.

Safari of a lifetime with Brilliant & Osbert!
5/5

We had an amazing 4 day safari with Brilliant Adventures and our guide Osbert.

Before the trip even started, communication with Julieth was clear & easy as we worked together to customize our itinerary. Once we arrived in Tanzania, everything went smoothly and we really appreciated the attention to detail as the truck was extremely clean and outfitted with everything we might need for the next few days on the road - snacks, drinks, hats, binoculars, etc.

On the drive to the Serengeti, Osbert shared many interesting details about life in Tanzania as well as its history, culture, and close relationship with nature. His passion for wildlife was immediately evident as he was very respectful of the animals (especially compared to some other safari drivers that we saw!) and also extremely knowledgeable about each type. Osbert made sure that we saw tons of animals, including the big 5 and multiple river crossings, and we were extremely grateful that we had him as our guide. He often spotted animals in the distance that I never would have noticed myself.

Overall, I highly recommend locally owned & operated Brilliant Adventures as the choice for your safari in Tanzania.
