Amazing Namibia trip through untouched landscapes with plenty of animal encounters
Namibia exceeded all expectations on our last trip. We were surprised by the many animal encounters and the incredibly vast landscapes.
We had the privilege of experiencing a 14 day trip tailored to our wishes and needs. The accommodation was very comfortable, integrated into the landscape, ecologically managed and with excellent service. The philosophy of Natural Selection as well as Gondswana convinced us. Detailed directions enabled us to drive to the accommodation ourselves. We were always warmly welcomed.
We were pleased to see that the local population can benefit from tourism while preserving nature and culture.
We always had very competent and friendly guides on our safari trips, tailoring the experience based on your interests. From elephants and lions to zebras and giraffes, we saw them all! Even the very shy black rhino. Unfortunately also the result of rhino poaching. The short distance encounter of a group of seven lions with a young one was breathtaking. But: Experience has shown that the wild is free and may not be where we are looking for it.
Some other highlights of our trip: Balloon ride with Namib Sky early in the morning, with incredibly rich breakfast in the desert after landing. Sleeping under a brilliantly clear starry sky. Rock arts, showing the past hunter-gatherer life. Hiking on the dunes of NamibRand Nature Reserve. Kayak tour to seals in the Walwis Bay. Exploring wild life in Etosha East.
We had an authentic African safari experience, a combination of stunning wildlife, incredible scenery and exceptional hospitality.

Serious operator, perfect organisation and cooperation with beautiful structures
We just got back home, after a wonderful holiday in Namibia. This land is a magical place, but thanks to Viatu team we planned the perfect trip for us, lived in wonderful accommodations and received fast and efficient assistance.
A special thanks to Alex for the organization, to Rea for assisting us during the trip and to Alessandro for helping us solve a problem perfectly.
It was probably the best trip of our life!
I think we will turn to Viatu again in the future to organize unique holidays!

Simply extraordinary!
Dear Viatu-Team, yesterday we came back home from our beautiful trip to South Africa, and our hearts are full! We had an amazing trip discovering wonderful places, we‘ve met very friendly and welcoming people and we‘ve stayed in awesome hotels & lodges. We were lucky to see the „Big 5“ in less than 2 hrs of Game Drive and our rangers taught us to use our bush eyes (and also all the other senses). We discovered the beauty of watching out for animals and now we love observing whales. We felt very grateful because everybody tried to spoil us in million different ways. Everything went perfectly, also our transfers. We appresciated a lot the route of our trip because it showed us the variety of South Africa. Our trip was magic thanks to -your perfect organization -your right advices -your good taste -your empathy for us, trying to understand what was the right tour and which were the right places for us to stay. Especially we would like to credit two fantastic places we have stayed in: 1. The Mthembu Lodge, the combination of the beauty of the lodge and it’s amazing surrounding, their excellent service and their warm smiles made us feel home. Their passion for nature taught us a new sense of life. 2. The Pineapple Boutique Hotel, is truely ithe expression of “welcome” – sense of beauty, friendship, hospitality and warmth and we appresciated the position of the Sea Point neighborhood under the Lion‘s Head and very close to Camps Bay. Their breakfast is unforgettable. We are not sad that it is over, we are happy because it happened! Thank you Viatu team, great work!!!!

Very well informed, friendly people who know how to travel well and sustainably
From the first video-call to the last day of our journey and afterwards, communication with Viatu (especially our travel agent Simone) was very easy, always friendly, with prompt replies and lots of very good and useful ideas. The locations/ lodgings and transportations proposed and booked for us were excellent. The travel plan worked out perfectly. If we had questions or minor problems during the journey, communication with our local contact person (Rea) was always very good and helpful with prompt answers.
The journey was the best we ever made. For me, it was a lifetime experience, also owed to the nice lodgings, very helpful and friendly people there and at our transportation company (Asilia), which Viatu had chosen.
The views of nature, wildlife and the country we got to see were just great. And in Moshi and in Sansibar, there was also a chance to get "out of the tourist bubble" if desired.

Operational excellence with a personal touch
The best family vacation we ever had!
- The booking process with Alfredo and Simone (with the help of their fantastic tool) was very smooth and fun.
- Namibia (the land and it's people) is the perfect place for the self-driving subsaharan family vacation experience. We have seen a lot, done a lot and felt very safe.
- We encountert only a small issue with a local operater and viatu instantly took care of it and managed it to our fullest satisfaction.

Unforgettable Birthday in Namibia
The team at Viatu went above and beyond in organizing the perfect Namibia trip for us. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that we had the experience of a lifetime. Every detail was taken care of, from accommodations in the most stunning locations and activities we could have not done without a guide (Sandwich Harbour, bush walk in Onguma, desert elephants in Grootberg), to transportation and a even super useful wifi usb device for unlimited data.
I even got surprised with a bottle of bubbly and a birthday note from Viatu, as well as the entire lodge staff singing and dancing "happy birthday" for me (a beautiful version I had never heard before), bringing out an entire cake. The attention to detail made our trip and I had the most unforgettable birthday at Grootberg Lodge!

Best holiday
I recently did an incredible trip through Namibia, including the Zambezi region, and Viatu Travel made it all happen. From start to finish, their team was amazing. They really listened to what I wanted out of the trip and put together an itinerary that hit all the right spots.

Very organised, welcoming and warm personality
