Amazing and immersive experience, with a constant sense of security and meaningful human connection
This experience has been one of the best I’ve ever had. I went on this trip with my brother Pedro, who managed most of the logistics. I trusted him completely, and I think we couldn’t have made a better choice than African Uncovered Safaris. We always had plenty of information, and once we arrived in Zimbabwe, Tafara was an excellent guide from the very start. The experience was outstanding, especially due to his kindness and all the insights he shared about the country and its wildlife. I believe Tafara is incredibly well-prepared, both professionally and emotionally, for leading tours like this.
Additionally, we always had flexibility in terms of schedules and activity choices, and we felt a great sense of safety with Tafara, both during the drives and in the country overall. As my brother Pedro has already mentioned, our tour started in Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River, then moved on to Chobe, Elephant Sands, the Okavango Delta, Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, and finally back to Victoria Falls.
As a biologist and nature enthusiast, this experience exceeded all my expectations. I learned so much and took countless photos. We saw a wide range of animals: elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, zebras, various species of antelopes, dozens of bird species (including vultures and eagles), wildebeests, a few lions, a leopard, and even rhinos. Besides the classic jeep tours, we also took a mokoro ride and camped in the wild, where we enjoyed the Southern Hemisphere night sky full of stars and shooting stars. We also had the chance to visit a local village, where we spoke with the residents and got a glimpse into their daily lives. Although our time there was limited to just a couple of hours, it was a meaningful experience. I highly recommend this as an opportunity to learn from their way of life and gain a deeper understanding of the local culture. It’s a great way to step outside the typical tourist bubble and connect more authentically with the community, rather than staying in a purely Westernized environment.
I highly recommend visiting Devil’s Pool. I was a bit scared, but I felt completely safe as lifeguards were present and assisted us throughout. The view was amazing.
In summary, this company is highly reliable, offering many options and flexibility, and having Tafara as our guide made the experience truly unique. Without a doubt, I’ll be doing this again!

Excellent tour, incredible human quality
Where to start? I can gladly say the 8-day tour we did with Africa Uncovered Safaris has been one of the best experiences in my life. The company is relatively new, but they are a great group of professionals. Archie was very informative via email since we contacted the operator and it facilitated things, bookings, etc. Tafara was our guide and we are extremely happy to have enjoyed an incredible experience with him. We shared many beautiful, mystical moments with him. He is always smiling, laughing, joking, a good driver and he is very flexible with timetables. Our tour started in Victoria Falls and Zambezi river, then we moved to Chobe, Elephant Sands, Okavango Delta, Makgadikgadi Salt pans and then back in Victoria Falls. I really reccommend this 7-8 day experience as you can get to see lots of animals and have a general idea of the main natural parks in Botswana. The quality of food in the different lodges was quite good, plus the accommodation was great. The tour we chose had a final price of ca. 2700 USD, which is a good quality price for what you get. We have been really lucky to see the majority of the animals in the different game drives, natural parks, even on the main roads. I can perfectly say we have seen >200 elephants, many hippos, jirafes, crocodiles, zebras, many types of antilopes, tens of birds (including vultures and eagles) species, wildebeests, a few lions and a leopard (in Chobe), rhinos (in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Zambia). The majority of the wild life you will see in Chobe, so I really reccomend doing all possible activities in that immersive natural park. The Okavango delta will bring a great experience with locals that use mokoros and the landscape is stunning. Salt and Elephant pans are magical places. I really reccomend doing Devil's pool as an optional activity, what an adrenaline shot! This is overall an experience that you cannot miss if you are fan of nature, animals and want to see how Safaris work. We will repeat for sure in the future!

Fabulous client service and attention to detail.
Our family recently travelled to Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia, working with Africa Uncovered Safaris for an 18 day tour. The level of service, attention to detail, and care shown to our family was unbelievable and exceeded expectation. Archie was fantastic to work with and spent alot of time working with me to create a customized itinerary based on some very specific requests. He not only delivered but showed a level of care and commitment that went beyond a typical travel company. He was very responsive to questions and inquiries, and ensured that all details and preferences were taken care of. Our vehicle was roomy and we appreciated the attention to detail and safety that both Muza, our guide, and Simba, our driver, prioritized during the entire tour. There were a few times where a small adjustment was necessary or we had a choice between several options, and the team communicated very well and ensured that all went smoothly. We truly appreciated the way this dream team handled our bucket list trip, and would not hesitate to refer them to anyone. Thank you so much!

Very professional and customer oriented handling
Although in the end I did not decide to do my tour with Africa Uncovered this time (as I had a last-minute possibility to join a mobile safari), I was very impressed how Archie handled my travel request - his professionalism, reliability, customer focus and fast reaction time that I decided to leave this review as I will for sure consider Africa Uncovered for a later safari.
After sending my (very short-term) request I was contacted via WhatsApp call to have a brief discussion and received a tour suggestion by email shortly afterwards. I had a few questions which Archie answered in a detailed manner and he also incorporated my wishes. Archie truly went the extramile to accommodate my requests and left a superb impression of his company with me.
Thanks again and very sorry again it did not work out this time!

Amazing, well-organised tour across Zimbabwe and Botswana
During July, my boyfriend and I went on a Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls) and Botswana 9 day tour with Africa Uncovered, with tour guide Tafara. We booked the tour super last minute (only a few weeks before), but Archie and Tafara were so accommodating and the organization of the trip was very smooth. We had the most incredible time exploring all the different magical spots of Botswana and seeing all the animals. We also really enjoyed getting to know Tafara, who was patient and kind, and gave us loads of information about his home country which was fascinating. We had lots of support from Tafara & Archie when my boyfriend came down with the flu, and was feeling very poorly - Tafara took him to a doctor, and was able to change some plans when necessary. They were also very supportive when we decided we did not want to camp in the bush, and helped to swap us back to the hotel. Overall, we'd really recommend both the tour and the company!

Don't go with anyone else!
This was our first time to Africa and didn't know what all to expect. We couldn't be happier when we boarded the plane to go home. Archie helped us with booking our tour of Victoria Falls, Chobe, and Hwange National Parks. He helped book extra hotel arrangements at the end of the trip. He drove us to the airport the day after the tour ended. This means we had nothing to worry about from the entire time we were in Africa.
Tafara was our guide, and we have made a lifelong friend. We didn't have to worry about anything. Tafara ensured all of our tours were confirmed and even helped us book an extra helicopter tour over Victoria Falls. Part of this tour included visiting a local homestead, and this tour company uses some of your fee to buy basic necessities for the family. Visiting this family was the highlight of our trip. Tafara spent extra time as we gathered school supplies and distributed to some local schools. This was not included in the original tour itinerary, and he was glad to make it happen! We truly enjoyed the great amount of time we spent with Tafara. We learned a lot about local culture, life, and animals; and we hope he learned a little about us, as well!
You might find other options at a cheaper rate, but the price was fair. Especially if it is your first trip, we highly recommend you go with a guide. We think about what our trip would have been like if we had not been with a guide. It would have been fine, but the interaction and service made this trip that much easier and much more memorable.
Please support this tour company. They provide a great service and also help with projects int he local community to help make it better. We hope to be back!

Amazing
We had a wonderful tour with this agency (Vic Falls, Chobe, Moremi, Okavango, Elephants Sand). Our guide Tafara was very good, kind and very professional. I prepared the trip with Archie, who was also very kind, always ready to give us advice and help us. The helicopter flight over Victoria Falls and the flight over the Okavango Delta are absolutely worth doing. Always beautiful lodges and delicious food in every location. Everything was perfect. Africa Uncovered Safari is the best. Trust them completely, perhaps the most beautiful journey of our lives!

I could write an entire novel about how amazing my trip with Tafara and Africa Uncovered was!
As a solo traveler who had never been to Zimbabwe or Botswana I wasn't sure what to expect going into a 7 day trip. When I first met Tafara and realized it would just be the two of us I felt nervous about how we would get along and what our hours-long drives in the car would be like. Luckily Tafara, much like myself, is someone who loves to talk and took the time to explain the history of Zimbabwe as well as share his own story. This felt very special to me and led to conversations that I will never forget. Tafara helped me through immigration & customs going into Botswana and as we continued driving made sure to stop whenever there was an animal walking alongside the road simply because he knew it would make me happy.
The trip was seamless and together, Archie and Tafara made sure any minor issues were taken care of immediately. Before starting the trip Archie promptly answered every question I had and explained how to obtain my visa at the airport. During the trip Tafara would come and ensure I got to each of my activities safely and on-time and he would be there when I got back. He would excitedly listen as I shared everything I saw and even shared his own knowledge about certain animals and wildlife. This was incredibly helpful during our overnight camping trip to the Okavango Delta. Since I was traveling by myself, Tafara was able to join me on the trip and having someone to share that experience with made it that much more meaningful. He would tell me all about the different animals we could see from our campsite and would ask our guide questions (that I’m sure he already knew the answers to) so I could learn even more about what we were seeing and experiencing.
Overall, this experience has been a highlight of my life and a large reason for that can be attributed to Tafara and the entire Africa Uncovered team. Whoever is reading this, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed when booking with this company and meeting the wonderful staff.
