Great support from Sekanka Travel
we travelled to Vic Falls (Zimbabwe) and through Botswana on a 9 day safari with Sekanka Travel.
Anna and Tepo where excellent and our guide Macha was fantastic.
Our one recommendation would be to confirm which accommodation you will be staying at in each location and stop of your safari.
Some locations have more than one accommodation option - and if you'd prefer one lodge vs another - make sure you share this with Tepo and Anna and they can ensure you are in the exact accommodation you want to be in.
For Victoria falls - we would recommend the Shearwater explorers village vs the PheZulu lodge. The PheZulu lodge is nice but its quite a walk (25 minutes) to the central shopping are of Victoria falls.

Exciting tour with a lot of variation
I contacted Tepo and Anna originally with a request about a mobile safari. Soon, I let them organize the whole holiday of 2 weeks, from Vic Falls to Maun, mobile safari and lodges included. Always prepared to give good advice, very patient with all my questions, they made our first African trip a huge success at a very fair price. The team of the mobile safari was top. Thank you Salani, MP, Joe and Lo! It couldn't be better. Salani was able to show us wild dogs, leopards, lots of lions, and so many more ... always with a smile :)
Thank you guys! Bart, Ann, Janne and Judit

This journey stays in our hearts forever
Travelling with Sekanka Safaris has been a absolutely fantastic experience for us, a family of five with children aged 12, 15 and 17. 10 days so full of exciting wild life experiences, fantastic nature and wonderful people, this journey will stay in our hearts forever. Some nights we stayed in pleasant lodges, but the best for us was by far the days and nights we spent camping in the wilderness. So many exciting encounters with wild animals, and still we felt completely safe and secure. This was thanks to our amazing guide, Lenti, and the rest of the team that followed us on our camping days. They all made us feel comfortable and at home in the wilderness, always polite and nice and smiling. And Lenti... Our children said they missed him in the moment he left us after the last morning drive in Chobe National Park, and we parents totally agreed. What a resourceful and knowledgeable and good person! We could ask him anything - about any animal, landscape, climate, culture, people, Botswana politics... And he told us everything we needed to know, at any time. His knowledge about the animals around us seemed limitless. We couldn´t be happier with our guide!
Some parts of the trip we had game drives and activities with other companies that Sekanka cooperate with. But the experiences with Sekanka's own crew was by far the best. Thank you for making our dream come true.

Very well organized. Great variety of animals. Having the elefants family 5m from our tent @ midnight, was an experience we will never forget. The team was very well trained and made us feel “at home”. The driver/guide was always looking for animals, no matter how long it quold take.

A Fantastic Experience of the Okavango Delta
We loved the whole of our trip to Botswana and Zimbabwe especially the bush camping at Moremi National Park. It was an amazing experience and we were well looked after by the camp staff. We were so grateful that the camp and safari was so personal and just our family of four. We shared so many amazing experiences together and felt extremely privileged to have this opportunity to explore such a beautiful part of the world.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Sekanka Safaris. It was value for money and everything was so well organised and so suited to our individual needs.

A once in a lifetime adventure!!!! AMAZING !!!!!!
My family trip (2 adults and 1 child-6years old) with Sekanka can only be described as fabulous!!!! Everything from the first contact with Anna went very smooth! She is very competent and communication was excellent, fast and full reply to all my questions. We have trusted her from the beginning.
We travelled from Makgadikgadi Pans, through the Okavango delta (Moremi, Xakanaxa, Khwai) and then Chobe (Savuti and Riverfront), to end up at Victoria Falls. I must admit that the best part of this trip was the mobile camping safari from Maun to Savuti... the tent was a big one, that could fit 3 single beds, with a ensuite camping toilet and bucket shower, everything comfortable and just right! The food prepared by Name was more than excellent. She prepared everything on the fire, even muffins & bread almost everyday !!! Super good!!!! The rest of the team was always working hard to make sure we had a great experience... Thank you MP and Lo (i am sorry for the mispelling of your names). And our guide/driver Macha was not only a brave driver, but very expert of the wildlife. He took us on so many animals sighting, including lions (many), and cubs (hyena and lions)... the wildlife here is incredible!!! I am a very demanding photographer and Macha was always very patient with my request and he always drove the extra mile to make me happy!! thank you.
We had a car breakdown in Savuti, which was a bit sad, because we could not do the sunset game drive in Savuti (that I really looked forward to do). But kind of things happen in the bush and mostly in this harsh environment, and we were well aware of this aspect before booking this kind of trip. Obviously was no one's fault... there is no one to blame, on the contrary I have to congratulate the entire Sekanka team, that send us (in the middle of nowhere) another overland vehicle, and without wasting time we were back on our journey with no delay!!! I was amazed and surprise by the responsiveness of the team to solve the issue !!! Great job Sekanka!!!!
If I only have to find a minor drawback, is the lodge in Chobe... don’t get me wrong, it’s a very beautiful location, but I have found it very disorganized, and the pool area looked abandoned. Regarding the Chobe boat safari/cruise, I would have expect a private experience (small boat, like the one in Moremi), rather than big tourist boat... We liked it, but as already explained to Anna and Tepo, if i book a private tour i want to keep it private till the end as much as possible! Thank you Anna and Tepo to understand our needs.
Victoria Falls and the lodge we stayed in were the cherry on the cake!!! The falls (at sunrise) were breathtaking, the sunset cruise lovely, and the Pamarah Lodge a little gem!!!
To end this long review, I once again want to thanks the Sekanka team for having my family living a once in a lifetime adventure… a DREAM CAME TRUE! i am missing those moments, out in the wild, so much!!
I would highly recommend SEKANKA, and I would travel with them anytime again!

Excellents game drives Khwai and Mokoro
We asked informations for game drives in Moremi/Khwaï and we receive the exactly responses we need, all was clear with Anna or Tepo. They are reactives and propose customized game drives too.
We had Mompeti the driver guide that kept us directly at our campsite for each game drive, on time and very nice and good driver a good guide !!
We enjoyed a game drive afternoon with sunset at Khwaï and close the river, we saw 2 lionnes eating their hunting (pumba) under a tree and we saw 2 others one drinking at the river just after they have killed an antilope ! Game drive on the morning was very nice too. Then we had a Mokoro tour for 2 hours, with a guide very professional, with a lot of details about the flower, the delta, the birds and very safe too.
We recommand highly Sekanka Safaris for any activities you need in Botswana as they are professionals, they know very well the country and they are serious.
Thank you to all Sekanka safaris team !!

Excellent organization. Very committed and competent guides. Worth the money.
Excellent organization. Very committed and competent guides. Worth the money. Guide team consisting of chef, cook, camp manager and experienced game observer/tracker. Best conditions for excellent sightings, culminating in a family of 10 lions and a leopard while hunting. Mobile tent accommodation is a real adventure for "standard Europeans". Schicki Micki is definitely out of place here.

Epic, magical, well planned!
From our first contact with Anna to our last drop off at Maun airport every step of our safari has been simply outstanding.
The lodges, meal plans and guides have been exceptional.
The activities have been life changing and many memories made.
Thankyou for making our bucket list so magical.
Highly recommend Anna and her team at Sekanka for anyone considering a safari.

We had the experience of a lifetime!
From the moment we arrived everything went entirely according to plan. We were kept advised at all times as to the daily schedule. Pick ups were always on time. The guides were amazingly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the land and we saw upward of 20 different animals and birds.
Our tour started in Victoria Falls and ended in Maun and at all times our guides made sure we were safe and secure.
This is an incredibly well run family operation that provided us with excellent value for money. We have no hesitation in recommending Sekanka Travel and Tours to others planning a safari in Botswana
