Amazing experience
This safari with Cubs Expedition has been incredible. I really wanted to go on a safari and everything went great with them. They were very attentive at all times. We contacted this safari through Humprey, who was very attentive and friendly at all times. We had a cook who makes delicious food, with flavour and good quantities, and two guides, Brayson and Elis, who made everything even better, as they were attentive to us at all times and helped us with everything. They were two very friendly and approachable people who made us feel at home. Brayson speaks perfect Spanish and explains everything very well, making him a good guide in Spanish. Elis is a person who is open to everything and, above all, very approachable, who will brighten up your days with her jokes and joy.

Spectacular Safari with Cubs Expeditions thanks to Brayson and Elis
I came to my safari trip in Tanzania with very high expectations and, without a doubt, thanks to Cubs Expeditions, these have even been exceeded. The cook makes delicious food, the experience of listening to the animals of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro at night has been spectacular and very peaceful, but without a doubt Brayson and Elis have made everything even better, as they have treated us as if we were part of their family from the first moment and, in the end, we have almost become so, after so many hours and jokes together and I can say that, if one day they travel to Spain, they have their home in Spain. Brayson explains everything perfectly in Spanish, with all the details and answers all the questions in a very illustrative way. Elia is the essence of everything, cheerful, friendly and willing to make you enjoy the whole time. In addition, with him you will also practice your English and he ends up speaking more Spanish than he knows, as it was both on the days we went in a group and on the day we traveled with just the two of them (our safari was 3 days with a group of Spaniards in 2 jeeps and the last day we were alone). Do not hesitate to do the safari with this company by asking Humprey, who manages the trip and is also very attentive, to do it with Brayson and Elis.

Best safari offer in Arusha!
I went with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed the experience! Humbrey was very responsive and ready to answer all my questions. The driver Joshua was very professional and the cook at our safari lodge Filippo was so funny and cooked lot of tasty food. The driver of the transfer Brother K was the best as well. A great thank you to all the team, really well organized and good team work 🙏

Amazing Safari
Everything went well. HUMPHREY was very kind and attentive to our requests. He always responded completely and quickly to our requests. The cook Halid has always prepared excellent and abundant food. Our guide Samuel was good. He drove for many hours and stopped whenever we needed it and helped us find the animals hidden in the grass. They were all extremely kind and helpful.

Totally recommend (especially for solo travelers)
Wonderful agency. I was a solo traveler and got added into groups- the agency was so flexible and communicative and made sure was 100% comfortable at all times. In fact, one of the jeeps (a third party) they added me on to provided a boxed lunch (it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t good at all) and they were so apologetic they invited me to dinner and a hotel room for me to shower after the safari (this was def not included - they were just supposed to take me to the airport). They are amazing and I really really really recommend them, best customer service I have experienced. Oh, and the safari was great I saw tons and tons of animals (but this isn’t a highlight since they aren’t really responsible for the animals you see or don’t).

An extraordinary dream journey brought to life, like being reunited with family in Africa.
Our seven-day safari was nothing short of magical, offering breathtaking encounters with wildlife we had only ever seen on TV. Our driver navigated the vast landscapes with impeccable skill, instilling in us a profound sense of safety, while the chef delighted us with exquisite meals that added a layer of luxury to the adventure. This experience was unlike anything we had ever imagined.
A heartfelt thanks goes to Humphrey, whose excellent communication and thoughtful arrangements provided us with a price that made this once-distant dream attainable. The entire team was not only exceptionally warm and accommodating, but they also catered to our every need with professionalism and grace, without any hidden fees or surprises. If there were an option for a ten-star rating, I wouldn’t hesitate to give it.
And finally, we are immensely grateful to Eli, our African brother, whose wisdom and invaluable advice enhanced every aspect of our journey. His kindness and knowledge turned our time in Africa into an unforgettable chapter of our lives. We part ways with full hearts, and with the hope that fate will bring us together again someday in the stunning beauty of Tanzania.

Damian has great energy and his efforts got us to see all the cool animals
Humphrey from Cubs did a great job arranging the safari tour for us via WhatsApp months before arrival. He even made changes when we asked and was very quick to reply and give info before the trip. His communication was very good and professional.
The actual safari was with another company, Suricata Safaris. On day 1 the safari guide Damian came to pick us up, but someone from Cubs was also there to brief us and take the payment. Humphrey also checked in on us after return.
SAFARI
1 day Tarangire, 2 day Serengeti, 1 day Ngorongoro Crater.
As I said, Damian was our driver/guide via Suricata Safaris. He did an amazing job! We got to see all the animals, including the big 5. He even got compliments from other groups. He had good energy, fun, cares a about the animals and respects their space. Thanks to him we saw many rare finds. I'll leave a list of animals and where we saw them at the bottom of the review.
LODGES
First night: We did NOT LIKE our first lodge (Jambo Lodge and Campsite), even though it was a big, clean room, it was a random building in a lot with random stuff and trucks around and a dirty pool with no hot water in shower or fans. Staff were nice but not trained to deal with tourists. Food was tasty. This was not the agreed lodge but apparently the original one has some construction going on.
Second night: AMAZING! I was sad to have so little time at Heritage Luxury Camp. We arrived after sunset and left after sunrise the next day. Amazing staff, food, beautiful and big luxury tent with jaw dropping views. Some giraffes were roaming close by in the morning.
Third night: Rhino Lodge is nice, felt like a hotel. Very professional staff, good food and sunset view.
PRICE
About 2280€ for 2 people w/Lodges for 3 nights and 4 days of safari, pick-up/drop-off in our hotel in Arusha and also 1 airport transport. All food and water included during the trip. We payed 10% in advance online and the rest on day 1 in cash (they charge a fee if payment by credit card)
TIP for you: don't skip Ngorongoro, it's the most beautiful and impressive of these 3 (plus has the rhinos) and of course the Serengeti is a must. Tarangire is beautiful and we loved it, but if you have to choose, you can skip it (the same animals can be found in the other 2). If you can, stay more than 1 night at Heritage camp inside Serengeti.
ANIMALS
The most difficult ones to find (we were told) were rhino (we saw 2 together in the NC although a bit far because they're protected and also dangerous), leopard (we saw one sleeping on a tree in S), cheetah (we saw a mom and baby and later another lone one on a rock in S), lions (we saw many, male/female, including cubs in S and NC), countless elephants (very close to the car, crossing the street, in big/small groups, alone, with other animals and even playing in the mud in T, S, NC), giraffes (including a family with mom/dad/baby in T, S, NC). A couple of jackals, warhogs and a hyena.
Lots of: hippos (S, NC), wildebeest (NC), zebra (all parks), all kinds of antelope (gazelle, impala, hartebeest, topi, dik-dik, etc).
So many birds! Flamingos, lilac brested roller, superb starling, eagle, vultures, marabou storks, grey crowned cranes, Von der Decken’s Hornbill, secretarybirds, to name a FEW. (most in S and NC)
I'm probably forgetting some, but we did see a lot. It's good to keep in mind that we were told (repeatedly) that we were very LUCKY with the animals and that some groups don't see as many as we did in just 4 days. Even though Cubs and Damian are great, there's no guarantee you'll see these animals.
Hope you get to see your favorite animals.
Thanks Humphrey and Damian!
