Akondo Adventures is more a new agency in the wide sea of agencies here in Arusha. When my husband and myself decided to do a Safari in Tanzania (we first stayed a few days in Zanzibar) I was overwhelmed with agencies offering exactly the same tours. We have asked for 3 offers on Safaribooking.com from three different agencies. As it was our first Safari we just wanted to do a 3-day Safari and see as many different regions as possible hence we have chosen the Tarangire Park, Ngorongoro Crater and the Manyara Lake Safari. We received three different offers from three different agencies, I have chosen some more expensive once and some more affordable once. Why we have chosen Akondo adventures was the value of money, the stay during the Safari and the well organized and clear planning. The PDF offer was well done and very clear. Obviously I started to check the reviews about Akondo Adventures at I only could read positive feedbacks especially of Richard our personal guide to be. Anyways for me it was clear that I will go with that Agency as Boris (the owner) was assisting us just brilliantly. The payment was done over Bank transfer which we first were not sure about either but everything was legit. Boris sent us all the flight tickets and everything we needed for our tour. Boris also arranged all wake up and pick up timings from the place we stayed in Zanzibar and made sure we are awake for our trip to Arusha. Everything was well organized from A to B, well done Boris! All the people which took care of us were just warm and caring! Anyways we arrived in Arusha (our flight with Flightlink was a very good flight!!) Boris then welcomed us in Arusha, explained to us how the next three days will look like and handed us over to our guide Richard. What a lovely guy, lots of knowledge, 13years plus as guide in all the parks around Tanzania! What a gem! And he even speaks Spanish and some words in German (my husband is Spanish speaker and myself German speaker). We started in Tarangire Park which we basically have seen all the animals we wanted to see followed by a drive closer to Ngorongoro to our lodge which by the was was just fantastic! That lodge has several chalets (super big!) which you have one for your own just out in the nature looking towards the lake Manyara! Stunning! The staff were just brilliantly beautiful to us! Next day we visited the Crater which was the best day of all three as it was just so beautiful and we even have seen the Rhino! Which is very difficult to see at the moment. Next day we were at lake Manyara which was just beautiful as well! Everything was just mind blowing for us hence the long review for them. Thank you for making these three days unforgettable! Richard, thanks a lot for all your wisdom and knowledge sharing (super cool guide, very you g for his expertise and experience!). Thank you Boris for being so flexible and patient! Words are not enough to sum up the truly amazing adventure that we have been on - but I will try!!
We are from U.K. and booked online a last minute 3 day adventure to Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Manyara.
Boris booked us our dream itinerary at a very competitive price. It was a luxury private tour and I would advise everyone to book with him and his company. He is totally honest and professional. He arranged our whole trip from pick up at our Zanzibar hotel, flights to Arusha and met and welcomed us at Arusha Airport.
Our guide Richard was AMAZING. He was such a nice local guy and gave us the trip of a lifetime. Nothing was too much trouble, he was knowledgeable on everything we asked him and he was always happy 😊
In summary we would love to return another year and book a Serengeti tour and will 100% book this with Boris, Richard and AKONDO ADVENTURES.

Excellent organizer. Personalised tour.
We travelled with our 4 year old daughter and it was carefully designed to fit us. The hotels were chosen well, the food was very good, picnic hampers each day were excellent with beer and wine. The driver was very knowledgeable and would answer any questions we had. Overall, we had a lovely time and would recommend Akondo to others too.
They are very professional and good at what they do
I have done many researches before booking with them. After the adventure is finished I made sure it was the best choice. Very supportive and nice people.

Big 5 in 3 days!
We had an amazing experience with Akondo Adventures, thanks in large part to our guide, Richard. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable journey. Richard’s extensive knowledge of the wildlife and landscapes made each moment informative and exciting, and his infectious good humor kept our spirits high. In just three days, he expertly led us to see the Big Five—a thrilling highlight of our trip!
The Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Parks were especially breathtaking, with countless unforgettable moments observing the animals up close. While Lake Manyara National Park didn’t quite match the excitement of the other parks, it was still a nice addition to our itinerary. We can recommend Richard, highly enough for anyone looking to experience Tanzania’s beauty to the fullest.

Fantastic trip, only bettered by the service!
From the outset of the booking process and throughout, Boris was incredibly attentive and helpful. Boris was very responsive and helpful in providing additional details and information, allowing my girlfriend and I to pick an option which was best suited to what we needed.
Our trip involved flying from Zanzibar to the Serengeti, which involved the organisation of transfers from our hotel, flights, pick up and of course accommodation. The whole trip ran perfectly. There were no issues at any point and there was always someone waiting for us. Additionally, Boris was incredibly attentive throughout our trip to make sure things were running smoothly.
Our guide for the safari was fantastic. He had been working in the Serengeti for several years and his understanding of the National Park, its animals etc was fantastic. He was very friendly, and was always looking to try and find as many animals as possible, which resulted in us being able to see all the Big 5 and their cubs as well as a number of other fantastic animals.
We also booked the Balloon Safari experience through Akondo. Given we booked this very last minute, I have to commend Boris for how helpful he was in helping us book the experience, which was truly a once in a lifetime event.
On the whole our Safari trip was incredible and the highlight of our holiday. Boris and Akondo were incredible in organising such a trip, but also in how they looked after myself and my girlfriend from start to finish. I would highly recommend Akondo Adventures to anyone looking for a similar trip.

An Unforgettable Safari Experience with A Personal Touch
We recently went on a 4-day safari with Akondo Adventures, visiting Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro National Parks, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the very start, Boris, the owner, was extremely responsive and quick with his answers. He addressed all of our questions clearly and to the point. What really stood out was the personal touch—Boris took the time to meet us in person both when we arrived and before we set off for our safari, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel really welcomed.
Our guide, Rich (Richard) was amazing. He was always in a great mood, making sure we had everything we needed and asking lots of questions about what we wanted to see or experience. He was incredibly patient, never rushed us, and took his time to ensure we had the best possible experience. On top of that, his knowledge about the animals and parks was impressive, and he gave us valuable insights not only about the wildlife but also about life in Tanzania. Richard also had an incredible eye for spotting animals—even while driving, he knew where to look and spotted many animals for us. Thanks to him, we saw really a lot of what the wildlife in Serengeti and the other parks can offer!
Akondo Adventures was very well-organized, responsive, and well-prepared from start to finish. If you’re looking for a safari experience that combines professionalism with a personal, friendly touch, I can highly recommend them!

Incredible memories!
When I started planning a safari for my wife, our 7 year old son and me, I requested quotes from several companies. Boris from Akondo Adventures contacted me shortly to discuss our wishes and best options available and define a plan that best suited our dreams and at a very reasonable price. His patience and honesty conviced us to trust him. And when our flight got distrupted and we arrived a day late and without our luggage, he proved us right as he adapted the plans, even the pick-up location, to avoid us loosing all the investment, and even supported us to get our missing luggage.
Our guide Richard was great, thanks to his extensive knowledge of wildlife and instinct, we were able to see 4 out of the big 5 closeby, and many other animals. His communicative hapiness made our trip even more enjoyable. He even played with our son whenever he had a chance.
We leave with incredible memories if a dream come true. Heartful thanks Boris and Richard for this incredible adventure!

An Unforgettable Journey with Akondo in Tanzania
I had an incredible experience in Tanzania this October, witnessing the majestic wildlife and the awe-inspiring Great Migration. Akondo Travel Agency served as our local guide, exceeding our expectations in every way. Everything was flawlessly organised From start to finish, and we felt well taken care of throughout the journey.
One of our trip's highlights was celebrating a friend's birthday during the safari. Akondo went the extra mile by arranging a surprise cake and singing the birthday song, making it an unforgettable and heartwarming moment.
