A most magical experience.
Right from the start when our guide Richard picked us we had the most amazing hoilday and experience. We were told each stop would be the experience of a life time and this was not wrong. Richard helped us navigate and even adapt our itinery to get the best out of our Uganda trip. A better guide we could not hope for, we felt safe and in good hands at all times. The accomidation and travel was spot on. I can't wait to come back again now that I know what this Magical country has to offer. Than you Grassrootz, Anne, Richard and all the team behind the scenes for making this trip special and never to be forgotten. My life time dream of visiting the Gorillas finally came true, but the trip offered so much more.

Grassrootz Adventures was excellent, the trip provided me with an amazing experience!
First of all the itinerary was tailor made as I had very limited time. Sander van Zanten, the founder of the company was very helpful in putting together the programme to really meet my needs and priorities, he was very responsive and straightforward which i found very helpful. This honesty and felxibility was the main reason I chose to travel with Grassrootz.
Once on the ground I had an excellent guide, Moses Kabubi, who was extremely helpful throughout and ensured I used our time to the maximum. He was very helpful in arranging local birdwatching tours, which for example were arranged locally and in esnuring everything ran according to clockwork. He is also very knowledgeable about the wildlife we saw and about the country and its communities, everything we did was done with respecting wildlife and local communities. I feel the overall value for money was very good too, we stayed in good, but not luxury lodges that were environment conscious. I had amazing experiences that were rich and varied, spending time in close contact with gorillas and chimpanzees was unforgettable, but the fantastic wildlife in the different national parks in addition to the ever changing landscape and smiling people made for a wonderful journey.

Everything expertly organized and executed
We had an incredible 3 weeks experience! Everything was organized tip-top, and gave an extra dimension to the saying "this is Africa". First, Sander designed a trip based on our wishes, showing great ingenuity in organizing permits and accommodations. Next, our guide Paul not only executed it expertly but he also showed great initiative and flexibility when for instance weather conditions changed and thus chances of detecting animals. In addition, Paul had a vast knowledge of animal and bird behavior, and an incredible eye-sight for spotting. We have seen the big 5, as well as hyenas, warthogs, vultures, marabous, gorillas, chimps, zebras, snakes, giraffes, and so much more. Paul also taught whole-heartedly about Uganda, its people, languages and its peculiarities. Also our 16-years old son was a fan of Paul.
We are definitely going to recommend Uganda, Paul and Grassrootz to all our friends.

I had the pleasure of experiencing an unforgettable trip to Uganda with an outstanding tour operator. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Each safari was an absolute dream, and I was fortunate enough to see a wide variety of animals, including all of the Big Five.
I would especially like to highlight our guide, Eddy. He was simply amazing! Eddy provided us with incredible insights not only about the animals but also about the country, its culture, and society. His knowledge and passion made the trip an unforgettable experience.
The chimpanzee and gorilla trekking were simply incredible and beyond words. I will never forget these unique encounters in the wild.
The accommodations we booked were all excellent. The staff were always friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.

A unique experience
I want to share impressions of my stay in Uganda for the past 2 weeks. My trip was organized by Sander and was done with the help of a local gig named George. We visited several national parks - Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth, Kabile, Bwindi and many others. I am a zoologist and thanks to our amazing guide I was able to see many interesting species - chimpanzees, gorillas, golden monkeys, eagles, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, zebras... the list goes on. The biodiversity is impressive. Local people are unique. Smiling, well-intentioned and very responsive. The program was prepared for us by Sander and gave us the opportunity to see everything. The timing and the organization, I think, could not have been. they are made better. Deep appreciation to George. This guy is truly unique. You can completely trust him for everything. It is really very pleasant and you feel safe with it. He knows absolutely everything about animals, customs... everything. His smile is contagious. :-) I have a lot of experience with this kind of trips and I can say that with these people you can really make an exciting and very memorable trip. Experience for life
