Unforgettable Safari with Outstanding Service and Expert Guide!
Our safari with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris was truly exceptional! From the start, they organized every detail perfectly. A huge thank you to Andrew, our guide and driver, whose 24 years of experience showed in every aspect of the safari. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife, patient with our endless questions, and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. Dula, our cook, deserves special praise as well—his meals were delicious, like something from a highly-rated restaurant, prepared with on-the-go resources in the wild. An unforgettable experience.
We had an amazing trip with Meru Slopes.
From the moment we arrived in Tanzania, Meru Slopes took care of us. Nixon was the driver from the airport, and made us feel welcome in the country. He took us to a small lake which was very beautiful and gave us a taste of what was in store for the next few days. Later that day, we met Almacheus, who went through the trip planned for us in detail. We got a good brief about the trip, before it all started the following day. The trip was carried out as planned, where we had unforgettable experiences. We encountered some challenges on the way, but these were handled in an exemplary manner by pleasant and professional guides.
Our guide was Robert. A very skilled driver with good experience. He is a pleasant person who contributed to a good atmosphere throughout the stay. Joining the team was chef Gidion, who prepared very good food. The food was always served with a smile. Gidion is also a great person.
Our stay in Tanzania was fantastic and we would recommend Meru Slopes to everyone.

5 star experience with this tour company
I just came back from Tanzania and booked Kilimanjaro climb and 6 days safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater.
What can i say? WOW!!

everything exceeded our expectations
We had an amazing experience on our safari trip with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris—it was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. From the planning stage, my point of contact was Gift, who was incredibly helpful and always available to answer any questions, often responding within 24 hours. I ended up modifying our plan about 9 times, and each time, Gift was patient, accommodating, and ready to assist. I really appreciated the upfront pricing—Gift proposed a fair price from the start, unlike some agencies that start high and expect negotiation. This honesty and transparency meant a lot to us.
During the trip, everything exceeded our expectations. We got to see the Big Five, which was a highlight, and our driver-guide went above and beyond to meet our needs. He adapted the tour to help us spot specific animals, communicating with other drivers and finding the best viewing spots for photos. He also shared interesting insights about the animals, which made the experience even more memorable.
Overall, I highly recommend Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris. Thanks to their dedication and expertise, our safari was unforgettable!

Phenomenal operator - the guide was brilliant
My wife and I just finished an eight day safari trip for our honeymoon, and it was the most incredible experience ever.
In the months leading up to the trip, Gift Tembo was in constant communication with us via WhatsApp, answering all our questions and helping us prepare for the itinerary he had put together. He was super responsive and very helpful.
Upon arrival at the airport, our driver Victor was waiting for us. He picked us up, drove us to our hotel, and then even offered to give us a free tour of Arusha on our first day since we had nothing scheduled. He took us to some tourist destinations and then even organized a tour of the local market for us. He was fantastic and such a joy to spend the day with.
And finally, our safari guide Florian was spectacular! Every single morning he was ready for us where ever we were staying. He was warm, knowledgeable, funny, and knew exactly where to find every single animal. He has the entirety of the Serengeti National Park memorized. We got to witness things like a lion dragging a zebra carcass right by our truck, and a leopard cub and its mother walking right next to us. It was a breathtaking experience. More importantly, he was so welcoming and kind. We cannot recommend Florian enough. If you are booking with Meru Slopes, you should request Florian as your guide.
This was one of the greatest trips we have ever gone on and we can't thank the team enough.

Experienced tour operator that loved his job
We did the 6day tour in October with our guide Jacob (Jacobo) in tarangire, serengeti and ngorongoro crater.
We are extremely thankful to have had such a great guide that taught us a lot about the nature (animals, trees, tanzania in general). In addition he would not only drive us around but also be on the lookout for animals with his own binoculars to help us find them and also take into consideration what we were hoping to see.

An unforgettable experience
We did a safari to celebrate our anniversary in August. We had such an incredible time. Meru slopes organised everything for us, from accommodation to meals and everything was even more incredible than we could have hoped.
Our tour guide Amani was fantastic. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the parks and the animals. We had an anniversary to remember and couldn't recommend this organisation and Amani more to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much!

Awesome Safari Experience
The 5-Day Safari was a great experience. From the beginning we felt well taken care of and the communication with Meru Slopes was good. They organized everything really well!
The driver Andrew and chef Moshi were with us during the experience and it was lovely to enjoy freshly cooked meals during the trip. We were able to see the big 5, lots of other animals and the driver was awesome at helping us to spot them!

Amazing.
Geofrey of Meru Slopes tours and Safaris took care of our travel to and from the airport. Accommodations before and after the safari. He also set us up with a talented cook and a very experienced/ knowledgeable guide. Rashid is an amazing cook who prepared a wide variety of delicious dishes everyday while we were out on safari. Andrew was our extremely knowledgeable sage guide. He was great company and took great care to help us get the best possible photos. Overall we had a great experience. We will return to beautiful Tanzania for another safari adventure and we will have Geofrey from Meru Slopes Tour and Safaris make it happen.
