care and detail
5/5

We had a wonderful experience with this agency and with the driver Zefa, who spoke Italian very well, knew the places and the animals.
the agency also takes great care of its customers, with small daily attentions, great care in cleaning both the jeep and the tents on the campsite.
The chef's cuisine is also excellent, as he follows you step by step throughout the Safaris.
If you are Italian, ask for Zefa to be your guide!
Super recommended tour.. it will be a once in a lifetime experience!

Professional, kind, with great service
5/5

What a great experience. My husband and I booked a two-day safari tour and were and still are very impressed. Our first contact with Wakanda Tours was USHMA, she always responded very quickly, kindly and competently. Unbelievable. We booked a private tour - and EDWARD was our guide. We really couldn't have had a better guide. He provided us with an excellent travel service - he was always very attentive, friendly and helpful. And always with a smile on his face. We met as strangers but after the tour we felt connected. It was an amazing trip. Thank you for a wonderful time. We will come back.

Amazing wildlife safari in Tanzania
5/5

We recently completed an incredible 8-day safari with Wakanda Safari, exploring Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater. This experience was not only filled with breathtaking wildlife encounters but also enriched by cultural insights and delicious cuisine, thanks to our talented guide, Felix, and our fantastic chef, Dullah.

Our journey took us through diverse landscapes, each offering a unique view of Tanzania’s stunning nature. We even made a special stop in Mto wa Mbu (Mosquito Town) for a bike tour, which provided a chance to experience Tanzanian culture firsthand. Camping in the heart of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Falling asleep to the sounds of hyenas and waking up to the calls of lions in the early morning, with zebras and baboons roaming near the camp, gave the adventure an exhilarating edge.

One of the most memorable moments was a segment of the safari where Felix guided us against the flow of the Great Migration. This allowed us to observe the organized movement of zebras, wildebeests, and buffaloes up close, with zebras leading the way. Alongside this spectacle, we had the thrill of spotting the full "Big Five"—lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffaloes—as well as baby lions and elephants. The “Ugly Five”—hyenas, warthogs, vultures, marabou storks, and wildebeests—were also fascinating to encounter. Visits to the hippo pools allowed us to see these enormous animals in their element, and the skies were filled with eagles, vultures, and other birds of prey, adding to the diverse wildlife experience.

Felix was an extraordinary guide whose keen eyes could spot animals with the naked eye that we struggled to see even with binoculars. While birds are his specialty, his knowledge of animal behavior is extensive, and he continuously shared insights that enhanced our understanding and appreciation of each sighting. Felix’s dedication was evident in his commitment to helping us see the full "Big Five" and in his careful attention to every aspect of our journey. Alongside his skills as a guide, he provided rich stories about the Maasai people and other aspects of Tanzanian culture, which added a profound cultural depth to our safari. His skillful driving on sometimes challenging terrain also ensured that our experience was both safe and comfortable.

Dullah delighted us every day with his culinary skills. Despite working in a camp kitchen, he managed to prepare restaurant-quality meals, including freshly baked bread, lasagna, pancakes, pizza, curries, salads, and even desserts. His “Magic Box”—a metal box he used as an oven on a coal barbecue—allowed him to create dishes we never imagined possible in the wilderness. Our meals became a highlight of each day, and Dullah’s talent and creativity were obvious. His reputation extended beyond our group, as other chefs and tour guides often stopped by, envious of the incredible meals he prepared. Dullah is well known among guides as one of the best chefs, and it was easy to see why. His food brought warmth and comfort to our camping experience, and his dedication was truly appreciated.

The safari vehicle was spacious and very comfortable, which made the longer drives enjoyable. The large 4WD had roomy seats, even for someone over 6 feet tall, and the open roof offered spectacular views of the landscape and wildlife. With convenient features like phone chargers and optional Wi-Fi, we felt both connected and well-cared for throughout our journey.

We were glad to know that Wakanda Safari is proudly Tanzanian-owned and operated, as supporting a locally-owned business made the experience even more meaningful. One of the most rewarding aspects of this safari was the learning beyond the wildlife. Thanks to Felix and Dullah, we gained meaningful insights into Tanzanian culture, traditions, and cuisine. This cultural layer made the experience much richer and added an unforgettable dimension to our adventure.

Our 8-day safari with Wakanda Safari exceeded every expectation. The journey was perfectly organized, blending thrilling wildlife encounters, cultural learning, and wonderful food. We absolutely recommend this safari to anyone who is up for an amazing adventure!

A huge thank you to Felix and Dullah for making this journey so memorable. We’re grateful for your hard work and the unforgettable experience you both gave us. Thank you for everything!

Incredible 6-Day Safari in Central Serengeti – A Journey of a Lifetime!
5/5

We had the privilege of experiencing a 6-day safari organized by Serengeti Wakanda Tours and Safaris, and it was truly the adventure of a lifetime. Exploring the central Serengeti and its breathtaking surroundings was an experience we will cherish forever, thanks to the meticulous planning and outstanding service provided by the team.

Special Thanks to Edward – The Ultimate Guide
Edward, our guide, was simply phenomenal. His deep knowledge of the wildlife and landscapes, coupled with his warm personality, made every moment unforgettable. Edward also ensured that our iconic Land Rover was spotlessly cleaned and fully prepared every single day, ready to take us on new adventures. The vehicle, a classic beauty, stood out on every drive—elegant, functional, and the perfect companion for a safari. The onboard Wi-Fi, wide selection of beverages, and delicious meals enhanced our comfort, making each day a seamless and luxurious experience.

Accommodations and Highlights
Every accommodation during the safari provided excellent service and comfort, but a special mention goes to The Retreat at Ngorongoro, which truly redefined luxury. From its stunning location to its top-tier facilities, it was the perfect place to unwind after a day full of discoveries.

Ushma – The Key to a Perfect Safari
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Ushma, who expertly coordinated every aspect of the trip. From the very beginning, Ushma’s exceptional communication and attention to detail ensured that the planning process was stress-free and enjoyable. She was also readily available during the safari itself, making sure that everything went smoothly and answering our questions with care and professionalism.

Memorable Highlights
The central Serengeti offered unparalleled beauty, and encountering the majestic Big Five was an absolute dream come true. The combination of stunning landscapes, Edward’s expertise, and the comfort of our classic Land Rover made this safari a truly unique experience.

Experience of a lifetime
5/5

We start our review with a big thank you to Serengeti Wakanda Safari Tours. That was the most amazing experience. This company is very reliable. Booking the tour was very easy with Aishwarya as she is very courteous, pleasant and patient. She accommodated our needs and booked the best lodging with great food and nice staff. She assigned an awesome guide/driver Felix. Felix made sure we see all the Big 5, see the migration and taught us how each animal survives in the wild and more. Felix ensured that our experience was memorable. He let us know the plan for the day. He always asked what we would like to see or do so he could tailor the days plan for us. He makes sure the picnic breakfast and lunch was warm and we enjoyed the variety of food. He constantly checks if we are comfortable and if there was anything else we need before we rest for the night. Felix is a Big 5: Funny, knowledgeable, good driver, has good eyesight and just an amazing person. Shoutout to him, Aishwarya and the rest of the Serengeti Wakanda Safari tours staff. We highly recommend this company.

Perfect Safari
5/5

We had emailed Beatrice with our wishes and immediately received a suggestion for the tour.
The rest was coordinated via WhatsApp, Beatrice always got in touch immediately and made any changes we wanted.
After the tour was put together, we had to pay a 30% deposit. We were supposed to pay the rest on site in Arusha. Everything went smoothly!
Bashir accompanied us on our 7-day safari.
What a luck :-)
With his eagle eyes and years of experience, he was able to show us and explain all the animals.
Wakanda exceeded our expectations :-)
Thank you for the great safari!

The most thrilling holiday of our lives!
5/5

I was in touch with Ushma Pattni for booking the safari. Not only did she patiently answer all my queries pre-safari, she also helped with local flight delays and checked-in every couple of days to see how everything was going - such a thoughtful gesture.

Our guide was Benji - Such a fantastic guide, tracker and driver. He was also very knowledgeable, accommodating and funny. He gelled so well with all four of us. The safari would not have been as much fun with anyone else.

The 6-day itinerary and accommodations as suggested by Ushma were excellent - Ngorongoro Marera Mountain view, Serengeti Sametu and Lion's Paw. The staff was the best.

A special mention for Serengeti Sametu where we celebrated Diwali. The Indian chef prepared a veritable feast for us, accompanied by a local celebratory dance where all staff members joined in. We were very touched! Also, the bush dinner experience is one we will never forget.

The safari jeep was in fantastic condition. The fresh hot food served in steel cutlery versus the box lunches we saw provided by quite a few operators was much appreciated and also very delicious.

Safari highlights - the endless wildebeest and zebra herds on the endless plains, a cheetah with her cubs, a lion and lioness in their mating phase, a lioness chasing away a hyena and two lionesses chasing after and killing a wildebeest. Not to forget herds of elephants coming to drink water, giraffes grazing, a tree hugging leopard, and spotting (what looked like) a black rhino from afar. Also, there was a lioness roaming outside our tents each night at Sametu camp. So scary and thrilling!

Incredible Experience - BOOK WITH WAKANDA!
5/5

We booked a 6 day Luxury Safari with Wakanda after vetting many other safari options, and just got done with our guide, Andrew (more to come about him!). One of the reasons I chose Wakanda was because of the amenities that they offered during the safari, their incredible communication throughout, willingness to accommodate changes/different options, and they have an incredible social media presence which made me feel very confident in understanding what we would be receiving from them. We even added transfers and activities in Zanzibar (not initially realizing they also did excursions there), for the first stop on our trip last minute.

I've been looking forward to this trip all year, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Going into Safari, you can never be guaranteed to see one thing or another, but we were very lucky to have seen some incredible moments along the way. We went to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Eyasi along with seeing the Hadzabe & Toga Tribes.

All of our accommodations were amazing, beds were comfortable, Wakanda handled all of the bookings, and the meals were all great.

Now on to our guide, Andrew. Wow, I was absolutely blown away by him. He has been a guide for 10 years, and his passion for the animals, and leading safaris radiates through all he does. He is one of the most kind & humble individuals I have ever met, while providing exceptional service & experience. For example, he practically grew up in the Serengeti, and as he stated he "knows it like the back of my hand" - can absolutely attest to that, as he took us to so many incredible places while we were there, with the best part being they were placed without crowds.

Outside of just the experience, he was very inquisitive and conversational, and we wanted to spend more time with him than we did just to talk to him more. He felt like family by the time we had to say goodbye. He claimed his English wasn't great, but I firmly disagree, it was fabulous. We saw many other guides who looked like they didn't want to be on Safari with their guests (from other companies), and that made us extra grateful for Andrew. We will absolutely be back and be requesting Andrew again, and you should too (just not when we come back to visit)! :)

I am going to proudly recommend Wakanda for our friends and family who want to follow in our footsteps and getting to Tanzania for Safari.
