Friendly crew - reliable tour operator
We went climbing Kilimanjaro on the 7-day Lemosho route with Zanzi Trekking and had a successful climb to the summit. We were happy to find that Zanzi Trekking had a budget option which allowed us to save a decent amount of money compared to other companies we looked at, while at the same time including all the necessary elements for a comfortable Kili climb. Even though we booked the trip last minute, there was no issue. Booking was easy: we made an international bank transfer and they confirmed the trip upon seeing the proof of payment. Zanzi Trekking were flexible and fast at responding. As a bonus, they threw in a couple of sleeping mats at no charge – thank you!
Justin, our main guide, was very friendly and attentive to our needs. It was clear he had our best interest at heart and wanted us to have a good experience. We were also accompanied by Lazaro, our assistant guide, a true Kilimanjaro legend who had been climbing the mountain since 1981. Together they made a very good team. Justin was great at telling stories about his many years climbing Kili and very knowledgeable about the mountain. Lazaro had an infectious positive attitude and showed great patience with us when we needed time to rest, put on an extra layer of clothes, or take pictures.
Our cook, Dastan, made some hearty and tasty dishes to keep our energy levels high during the climb. He also made sure we had something fresh (fruit/vegetables) at every meal - even on the last days on the mountain. Our porters, Kelvin, Pius, Elimokozi, Dominik, Mathew and Shedi (Shedrak), did their absolute best to keep our stuff dry even when pitching the tent in the rain. They seemed to always be in a good mood.
All in all, we had a great experience climbing Kilimanjaro with Zanzi Trekking.

Very professional and easy to communicate with.
Certainly! Here is the translation of your experience in Tanzania into English:
We are tourists from China who planned to visit Tanzania during the National Day holiday with friends. After comparing various reviews online, we found Zanzi Trekking, a travel agency that impressed us with the communication with the owner. We booked a 6-day Kilimanjaro Lemosho route trek and a 4-day Safari with them. Zanzi arranged a great team for our mountain climbing service and a knowledgeable Safari guide. The owner of the travel agency is very communicative and reliable—highly recommended!
Kilimanjaro Lemosho Trek: The team members were all very friendly, and our guides, Charles and Lazaro, were very professional. They provided a lot of encouragement and support along the way, adjusting the pace according to our needs, which greatly contributed to our successful summit. Kilimanjaro is truly beautiful, with the scenery changing from tropical to temperate to cold as we ascended. The sunrise, sunset, snow, blue skies, white clouds, and the night view of the city at the foot of the mountain are all unforgettable. The Lemosho route can be quite tiring, so it's recommended for those with a certain physical fitness. Otherwise, you might consider other routes.
Safari: Due to limited time, we arranged a 4-day Safari visiting three or four national parks. We saw four out of the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos) up close, and many other lovely animals. Our driver, Suma, was very responsible, gentle, and talkative. He studied German and is interested in China and Chinese language. In short, the Safari was also fantastic!

Unforgettable Tanzanian Adventure with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris
During National Day holiday, I embarked on an unforgettable journey to Tanzania, which was meticulously organized by Zanzi Trekking and Safaris. Our adventure included a six-day trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro followed by a thrilling four-day wildlife safari. The services provided by this local Tanzanian agency exceeded all expectations, and I am thrilled to share my experiences.
Communication & Planning
From the outset, Zanzi Trekking and Safaris impressed with their communication. Whether it was via email or WhatsApp, responses were prompt, informative, and practical. This seamless communication allowed me to plan my trip with peace of mind and set the stage for the amazing experience that awaited us.
Airport Reception & Transfers
Upon arrival in Tanzania, the reception service was nothing short of perfect. Zanzi Trekking and Safaris had arranged a professional airport pickup, ensuring a smooth and stress-free transition from the airport to our hotel. This thoughtful welcome allowed us to recuperate quickly from the long-haul flight and to recharge for the adventures ahead.
Guides for Trekking & Safari
The guides provided by the agency deserve special praise for their expertise and responsibility. Our trekking guide ensured our safety as we made our ascent up Kilimanjaro, sharing stories and tips about the mountain. During our safari, the guide’s keen instincts and deep knowledge brought us up close with wildlife, making every moment captivating.
Accommodation Experience
The accommodations selected by Zanzi Trekking and Safaris went above and beyond our expectations. The hotels were not only well-located and high-quality, but they also offered a comfortable atmosphere. Returning to these accommodations each evening felt like a retreat into an exotic haven, adding significant value to our overall experience.

Trustworthy, committed and reliable tour operator
We've climbed in October 2024 with Zanzi trekking and safari's in Arusha. The crew is very committed to get you to the top. Everything is in done in order so that you'll make it, that made us a bit emotional at the end of the trip as well (in a positive way). The guides George and Lazaro are experienced guides, who behave professionally. We would easily trust our lives to them again.
Don't forget to ask/request a packing list beforehand, if they haven't sent it to you yet when you booked a trekking.

Excellent Tour Operator
We had a great experience at mount meru. Everything was well organized and we were picked up on time. We had a short briefing the day before the tour and a short talk after the tour in our Hotel. During the tour we had a really good service starting from hot water to wash our bodies after a long hike and ending with the hot tea at the top of mount meru. In addition the food was excellent and more than enough. Most of the people working as porters, guides and cooks are men but in our team we had a female cook which is really cool to see. We would book again any trekking tour with zanzi trekking.

An awesome trip to Mt Meru
The morning before our hike we met with the team to check that we had all the essential hiking equipment. And we needed some items which were arranged for us at a fair price.
Overall climbing Mt Meru with Zanzi trekking was a great trip!! We had an excellent team assisting us, including our guide, delicious food, porters assisting to carry our stuff. The price was very reasonable.
We want to thank the team for their hospitality in helping us reach the summit!

Very well organised
We booked a seven day budget tour from Arusha. We were contacted a few days before and then met up with a tour company member the day before at our hotel. He gave us a full briefing, took the balance of the your cost on a credit card payment and arranged to keep most of our luggage while we were on tour which was very helpful.
Our tour guide was excellent and worked very hard to give us a great experience. The cook was also very nice. The meals were quite tasty if repetitive. The sleeping accommodation was okay though some of the sleeping bags were smelly- glad I brought my own sleeping sheet.
We saw lots of animals and different habitats and the guide was able to answer the trickiest questions.
On arrival back at Arusha the was a bit of a mix up with being dropped at our hotel but that was sorted out.
Overall I thought it was very professionally organised and good value with a helpful debrief at the end.
After that we did a four day tour in Kenya with another company and the difference in organisation was quite marked - it was quite chaotic.

Dream trip
Both the Safari in Tanzania and the Safari Blue in Zanzibar were amazing, the staff is fabulous.
Everyone was very friendly and attentive, I would like to highlight Honest's organization, Ludovic as the Safari guide who was always concerned about our safety and well-being, and Abdu's friendliness as the driver in Zanzibar.
Everyone was very punctual.
