Unforgettable experience
Trip organized down to the smallest detail, prepared and studied with us from the beginning, they listened to our requests and needs, they advised us on what to see and do. The accommodation chosen, in particular the tented camp in the Serengeti, was a very pleasant surprise and a truly incredible experience; the Marera lodge in Karatu is a corner of paradise surrounded by greenery. Particular thanks to Anderson for organizing the trip and all the necessary documentation, precise and punctual in answering our endless questions and to Geofrey our guide/driver, thanks to his incredible view we managed to spot the animals, with his experience it was possible to get close to them and was able to answer all our questions about their behaviour; he spoke to us about his Tanzania, trying to make us understand this wonderful land a little more. We will carry the memory of this unforgettable experience for a long time.

He speaks both Italian and English fluently, and over the years he acquired a deeped knowledge of the local culture and traditions, combined with an outstanding level of detail on all the parks and savannah animals.

Speaking about accommodations and organization details, we were really happy with the lodges in Ngorongoro and Serengeti: faboulous landscapes, professional and pleasant staff, high quality services (beyond our expectations).
Our experience could have been even more positive with a better accommodation in Arusha. To be honest, Cold Crest does not match the same bar of the other 2, you could benefit a lot from having a new structure there.
Last but not the least: thanks Roberto for what you have been doing for Tanzania and their smiling cute people.

Unforgettable Experience with an Expert Guide!
Suma (Ismail) was an excellent guide and driver. He was very patient and kind to our family of four, children ages 7 & 9. His deep knowledge of the parks and his skillful driving largely contributed to our successful safari experience. His vehicle was well maintained and he handled the inevitable obstacles of the washed out roads with calm and expertise, drawing upon his large network of drivers and park rangers if help was needed. Suma is well versed in the park's flora and fauna and he was always happy to take the time to look up the exact name of an obscure bird if I requested. It would be an honor to hire Suma as a guide again in the future.
We booked our 7 day, 6 night safari of the northern parks (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater) last minute (less than one month prior to our arrival) and Micky was an excellent communicator answering all my questions and designed an itinerary that I felt made the most sense for a family with kids staying two nights at each location, thereby reducing the transit time which really proved to keep my kids' attention for the whole week. The other tour operators I reached out to were not as communicative and their routings appeared to have more transit time in the vehicle each day.
My husband and I have been on safari before in the past and we were a little hesitant that our kids were ready for such an experience, but I can say now that this trip ranks among our top family vacations that our kids will remember forever! Thank you Savannah Explorers!

Excellent First Safari Experience
Very glad we picked Savannah Explorers for our first visit to Tanzania and Safari experience. Mr. Augustin had organized the 10day tour really well so we could cover all the important parks. The accommodation at different parks every day was very luxurious. Hospitality and Food was great and they were able to help with a Gluten Free Vegetarian diet for the lunch boxes at each lodge. Despite our delay in arrival by more than 24hours, Mr. Thomas, our Safari Guide/Bush Engineer did not even miss a beat and planned very well so that we still covered all the parks without any rush in a timely manner. We infact were able to cover the big five in 2 days because of his expertise! He would make recommendations and always asked if he had the permission to proceed respecting our wishes. Glad we took his recommendations for starting out the game drives early in the morning so that we could spot the animals. Very knowledgeable about the animals, birds and vegetation, and history of each park in Tanzania. We felt very safe and comfortable even when we had the lions and elephants very close to our vehicle. His knack to spot the really hard ones like Rhino, Leopard, Cheetah and Lion Pride with cubs were amazing! A highly experienced and seasoned guide is whom you need for these Safaris and that was Mr. Thomas. All in all we highly recommend Savannah Explorers and would definitely use them for our future visits as we are extremely satisfied and happy with our first ever Safari!
