3 days Safari Serengeti and Ngorongori
5/5

We have spent a couple of nice weeks in Zanzibar and went on safari in “Mainland Tanzania”,

First six nights on the eastern side, Jambiani Beach at the excellent Alma Boutique Hotel

Then 3 days / 2 nights Safari in Serengeti and Ngorongori and then finish with six nights on the western side where we stayed at Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa on Kendwa Beach.

Before the Safari, we compared a number of organizers and Jessica Reginald stood out with a high level of service and quick responses. The safari was very well organized and the implementation was fantastic throughout 😊

Flight from Zanzibar via Arusha to a small “Airstrip” in central Serengeti. An Airstrip is exactly what it sounds like, a small opening in the safari sufficient for a small Cessna with 15 people to land.

Here we were met by Said who would be our guide, driver and companion for three days

A safari is a lot of driving on bumpy dirt roads, sometimes of very questionable quality. We called it a washboard, Said for Massaj Massage 😊

Two days in the Serengeti and one day in Ngorongori is more than enough to see most animal species including the migration. We saw three lion families, one of which was just meters away and one that had just munched on a Wilderbeast, of the larger more sought-after species also a scouting Cheetah and a black Rhinoceros at a close range. For other animal species, the number is almost incalculable, including zebras, gazelles, elephants, giraffes, wilderbeasts, monkeys, vultures and hippos.

Good accommodation at two nice Tented Camps; Moyo and Embalakai.

Both offered buffet dinner, maybe not a gourmet experience but it was also not what we expected or had on our wish list.

Do you need mosquito protection, we had both tablets and spray but we hardly saw a mosquito on the entire trip….

Clothing; shorts and a T-shirt worked great 😊 In February the mosquitoes seem to have taken a vacation because we didn't see a single one, we took Malaria tablets anyway, just to be safe…

Top marks for the whole adventure and a big thank you to everyone involved; Le Kobe Adventures & Safaris, Jessica Reginald and last but not least Said 😊

The review below is the personal opinion of Xx and not that of SafariBookings.
Not the best experience in service, but enjoyed the trip
2/5

Flight was cancelled a few hours before I was due to fly, options I was provided was to fly to another park ( which after agreeing was told was no longer available) or fly 3 hours later, which meant basically lose the best part of the day for safari, leaving me with no options, in addition this later flight was further delayed when I received the the ticket it was actually due to fly 30 minutes after the time I was told further delaying a already late schedule. In addition. I was told the day would be extended 30 minutes to reduce the 3+ hours lost, however this was not true and the day actually ended around 1hrs earlier, so in total my day ended around 4hours shorter than what paid for

I rarely post a negative review, so to end on a better note, the day itself was still enjoyable, I had no further problems and the organiser discounted me a small amount 50 dollars, although not much considering almost 900 dollars paid and losing more than a third of the time I was meant to be out. I'll give the company the benefit of doubt that my situation is probably unusual, but the resulting service was poor

Dear Zuber,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. First and foremost, I would like to sincerely apologize for the challenges you experienced during your day safari. We value your trust in our services, especially during such an important time as your honeymoon, and I deeply regret that your experience did not meet your expectations.

Regarding the issues raised, I would like to offer some clarifications:

1. Flight Cancellations and Delays
The flight cancellation, which occurred a few hours before your scheduled departure, was entirely out of our control. We do not manage or have authority over flight operations, and such cancellations are made by the airline due to reasons beyond our influence. Once we were informed of the cancellation, we immediately communicated this to you and offered an alternative option to fly to another park, as we wanted to ensure your special day was not entirely disrupted.

Unfortunately, after you agreed to the alternative, the airline informed us that this option was no longer available. This, again, was due to decisions made by the airline, not our company. We understand how disappointing this must have been, and we truly empathize with your frustration.

The subsequent delay of the rescheduled flight was another factor beyond our control. As soon as we received the updated flight information from the airline, we passed it on to you. While we strive to provide accurate and timely updates, we rely on the airline’s communication, which can sometimes change unexpectedly.

2. Shortened Safari Time
We acknowledge your disappointment with the reduced safari time. When we learned of the flight delays, we extended the safari by 30 minutes as a goodwill gesture to compensate for some of the lost time. However, we take full responsibility for the safari ending earlier than planned to ensure you could catch the return flight, which operates on a strict schedule. This adjustment was made in your best interest, but we deeply regret that we did not communicate this decision to you clearly in advance.

3. Compensation
We are grateful that you acknowledged the partial refund of $50 we provided. While we hoped it would help mitigate some of the inconvenience caused, we understand your concerns that it may not fully reflect the value of the time lost. Please accept our sincere apologies for this as well as the overall disruption to your day.

Despite these challenges, we are grateful to hear that you still found parts of the day enjoyable. Our aim has always been to provide you with a memorable and fulfilling experience, especially on such a significant occasion.

We deeply regret the unforeseen issues caused by the flight cancellations and delays, and we appreciate your understanding that these were beyond our control. However, we take full responsibility for areas where we could have communicated better or managed expectations more effectively. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with an experience that truly meets and exceeds your expectations in the future.

Thank you once again for your feedback and for allowing us the opportunity to address your concerns. If there’s anything further we can do to assist or if you’d like to discuss this matter further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.

Many thanks,
LeKobe Adventures & Safaris

LeKobe Safari: Exceptional Fly-In Safari Experience
5/5

My experience with LeKobe Safari was nothing short of outstanding. Initially, I had booked a one-day fly-in safari from Zanzibar to Selous (Nyerere), but due to unforeseen flight cancellations (completely beyond their control), the plans had to change. What could have been a major setback was handled with absolute professionalism and care by the LeKobe team.

They worked tirelessly to find an alternative solution within my tight schedule, ultimately organizing a one-day safari to Tarangire National Park instead. They arranged alternative flights and even booked accommodation to accommodate the extended duration. Their effort to ensure I had an incredible safari experience was truly commendable—they genuinely went the extra mile.

In Tarangire, our guide, John, was phenomenal. His knowledge of the park and wildlife was exceptional, and his enthusiasm was infectious. He was attentive to every detail and determined to make the most of our time, allowing us to see as much wildlife as possible, including several of the Big Five.

Thanks to LeKobe Safari and their incredible team, what began as a challenge turned into a seamless and unforgettable adventure. Their commitment to delivering the best possible experience makes them a top choice for any safari in Tanzania. Highly recommended!

Very reliable, precise, careful about everything!
5/5

Our experience with Lekobe Adentures has been totally satisfying and completely positive from all standpoints. Elvis is an extraordinary, impeccable organizer, providing you with all necessary tips and advices for a perfect and smooth customary trip. He planned the trip following our desires. He came all the way from Zanzibar just to welcome us at Kilimanjaro airport and to introduce us our driver Fredy. He took care of our flight to Zanzibar at the end of our safari. Finally, when we landed into Zanzibar and the safari was already over, he came to greet us at Zanzibar airport just to check that everything was fine and to ask about our experience. Fredy, who speaks perfect english, demonstrated to be an excellent driver, very careful and reliable. He is also very knowledgeable about all aspects related to the safari (wildlife and so on) and the Country.
I strongly recommend this Company and would take this opportunity to heartedly thank, on behalf of my family, Elvis and Fredy for making of this Safari one our most unforgettable experiences.

3 out of 4 in a day trip, amazing!
5/5

Thanks to the team at Lekobe for organising a great day trip to Selous from Zanzibar. Great communication from Jessica with all of the details, all of the pick ups and drop off worked really well, even the 4:30am taxi from our hotel!
But the biggest thank you is to Deo, our driver and guide for the day. He was amazing. His knowledge was incredible and he went out of his way to try to get us to see an amazing array of animals. We were lucky to see lions, elephants and buffalo, as well as a multitude of gazels, hippo, eagles, kumba, giraffe and many more.
Would absolutely recommend it to anyone thinking of taking a day trip. Sure, a 3 or 4 day safari would be the ideal way to do things, but if you're holidaying in Zanzibar then this will give you a day our that you won't ever forget.
