Perfectly organized to enjoy breathtaking nature
My 3 days in the Danakil Depression has been one of the most amazing experience I have had exploring Earths wonders.
The tour was very well organized and structured so we could really enjoy full days, unforgettable sunrise on the salt lake and the rift and breathtaking night walk on volcanic lava. So unique!
Maareg our guide is very experienced, reassuring and so kind. He, with his team, were attentive as we explored the differentes natural sites, so I felt very safe during this tour. Also the food served was great!
I am very grateful for this wonderful experience.

An extremely professional outfit that I would recommend to any travelers to Ethiopia
From the beginning Maereg was extremely responsive and understanding of our needs. All aspects of the tour were delivered seamlessly and it was very relieving to have him there personally to deal with a number of issues that arouse that he dealt with tactfully and without complaint.
As a guide he knew when to give us space and when to add information and engage us. All the activities that we undertook were unforgettable and it didn’t feel like we were constantly being rushed and pressured to move on. The level of flexibility was unparalleled.
I look forward to coming back and exploring Ethiopia further with Maereg and Extraordinary Ethiopia in the future.

Great guide!
I have travelled 80 plus countries and Maereg was one of best guides.
He was strong and confident knowing when to talk and when not. He professionally kept me respectable of local religious traditions while getting me front row viewing. Maereg is a believer with long Lalibella history. He asked for my camera many times knowing best spots. Even asked once cause he said I was to shy:)
He was great at managing vendors not that Ethiopia is bad in that way.

Our tour guide gave us an extraordinary tour of Lalibela. He knows great about the history of Lalibela. The tour was incredible, not only because it is a beautiful place full of history and culture, but also because Maereg made it very enjoyable and involved us in getting to know the local people, allowing us to better experience it.

Everything perfect and excellent - Todo perfecto y excelente
I went on a 6 day trip to Northern Ethiopia with Extraordinary Ethiopia Tours. We were in Bahir Dar (lake Tana), Gondar, Simien Mountains National Park and the wonderful town of Lalibela, to see the rock-hewn churches. We ended up in Addis Ababa, It was a fantastic experience. The company fulfilled everything, exceeding my expectations. I recommend it. I travel all over the world and I want to come back to Ethiopia with Extraordinary Ethiopia Tours. Amazing trekking and life experience with a super guide!
Trekking in Ethiopia's Lalibela Wollo Highland 4 Days / 3 Nights
This has been one of the most memorable tours I ever did.
First visited the rock-hewn churches in Lalibela and the day after left for the eco-tour. Spent 4 days with 3 friends walking and visiting the amazing surroundings of Lalibela, great guides, welcomed from every community we had the honor to visit and talk with. A gentle and slow way to discover places and people.. Great experience!!
