Amazing, helpful and kind.
Suricata was amazing! Super friendly, accommodating and kind. It started with a warm welcome at their Arusha facility with the front desk staff. Twalbu who was extremely friendly and generous gave us a pre trip briefing and answered all of our questions. We then set out to meet our driver and guide Edgar in the 4x4 Toyota 6 seater Land Cruiser. These are the primary vehicles for the tour. Edgar was a great friendly guide who has a lot of experience. Edgar knew the Serengeti very well and I couldn’t believe how much we got to see. It is migration time in February so the animals are active and everywhere. I picked the midrange trip and stayed in two really nice spots. Both were nice and clean, with again, extremely friendly gracious staff. Plenty to eat and drink and you’re right in the middle of the Serengeti. I highly recommend Suricata for your Safari, it was an amazing experience!

Beyond expectations
It was first time for us and had no idea what to expect. Was a bit worried as the price given to us was extremely cheap compared to other companies so didn't know what to expect. However, it went beyond our expectations. Communication with Davies was good. Damien, Maleo and Tito where fantastic (guide, supplier and chef). Mr T was our contact person in Arusha and he was very helpful and came to our rescue when the driver went to the wrong hotel for another client and caused some delay. Due to this the company offered us, as an apology, complementary meal at the hotel on our return. That's excellent customer service! Food during the safari trip was excellent (plentiful), driving by our guide Damien was very skilful and we got plenty of opportunities taking photos and information about the animals. It was amazing, saw the great 5 but two quite far away so don't forget your binoculars (you can rent it from the company if needed or hope that a kind fellow traveller will lend you theirs). It does get quite cold at night so make sure you bring some warm clothing, especially if you are camping. Campsites are shared with other companies, very basic toilets showers (cold/some may have hot shower but the tanks are small....and a bit run down actually). Some of the group members paid extra to stay in a lodge and the lodges looked amazing, was very surprised how cheap it was (when asked how much they paid for the trip). I never thought of asking about it as I assumed it would be mega expensive as in the prices given by other companies. However, camping was fine as you get a very nice sunset/sunrise. Another advice, it does get very dusty, people with long hair should get a leave in conditioner or hair oil. I would definitely recommend Suricata if you are on a budget.

Incredible
We did a 4 day camping safari with Suricata Safaris and had an amazing time. We saw all of the Big Five, getting to see the animals really closely. Our guide Melita was incredible, very knowledgeable and got us to all the best spots to see the animals. The camping was great, all equipment provided and very good quality. The food provided at each meal was delicious, thanks to our chef James. Breakfast, lunch and dinner varied each day and catered to all dietary requirements. It was great to get an incredible taste of Tanzania, in more ways than one!!

Incredible experience
This was an incredible safari! Very well organised with amazing cooking by James and a wonderful guide Melita. We got to explore different safari parks which was great and the camping was clean and well organised. Couldn’t recommend the company enough!

This was the most incredible trip I’ve ever been on! Suricata organised everything for us and made the trip smooth. The food by chef James was amazing and our guide Melita was the best you could ask for - super knowledgeable, helpful and made the trip very fun. We managed to see the Big Five across the three beautiful locations we went which was the dream. The camp sites were great and again Suricata set everything up for us on arrival and ensured everything was spotless. Thank you Suricata!!!

Amazing experience !
3 incredible days of safari! We were able to observe the animals very closely, lions, elephants, giraffe, buffalo, antelopes... within the Serengeti park and during the visit to the Ngorongoro crater. The camps were great, in tents with mattresses and sleeping bags. Nothing to complain about the meals, everything was delicious. Thanks to our guide Edgar for this wonderful moment!

Amazing Safari Experience!!!
Wonderful experience, would absolutely recommend anyone else to book their Safari through Suricata. Our tour guide, Damian, was amazing and went above and beyond for us to view the big five. He was a pleasure to spend time with and always had the entire trip under control arranged all the pick ups and food really well. 5 star guide, Mnyama mkali!!
The Safari itself was absolutely amazing, 5 stars: saw leopards, hundreds of elephants, lions cubs, 3 male lions, hundreds of hippopotamus, thousands of zebra and gnus, buffalos, multiple antílopes, and even elands and a rhino. The views, sunsets and wildlife were absolutely stunning and breadth taking. Highly highly recommend this experience in Tanzania. Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater are an absolute must. Recommend the tented lodges for a cheaper midrange option, super comfortable and a great experience overall. All nights were welcomed by some animal visitors wondering around the tents adding to the overall experience.
As for Suricata safari and planing, worked great. The company was incredibly responsive over email (contacting through Kuria), before and during the Safari to arrange all accommodations. Made everything easy. Airport pick ups and drop offs went smoothly. And payments were preferred through a Tanzanian version of PayPal (Pesapal) for the 25% downpayment, and then paying by cash. If you do not want to pay by cash upon arrival that is not a problem. Also worked just fine to make the remaining payment through the same PesaPal link, however make sure to have internet to access the sites when you arrive. Also highly convenient. A nice extra was that Suricata was able to arrange small daily expeditions for the remainder of my stay (2 extra nights before my flight out), and that was a time well spent. Overall, 5 stars review, would book through them again in the future!

Best holiday yet
One of the greatest experiences of my life so far. Very well organised tour. Rasta man was the best guide - insightful, kind, and always happy. The chef catered to my dietary needs and I was never hungry. Would recommend this tour to anyone

Best Safari Around
My wife and I went on an incredible 6-day midrange private tour with Suricata Safari’s guide- Ameri.
We saw so much African wildlife, ate delicious meals, and stayed at beautiful, comfortable, friendly lodges!
4hrs into our first day with Ameri, I told my wife I was thrilled that we picked Suricata as our Safari company. With out a doubt in my mind they were the best safari company everywhere we went. I will be coming with Suricata Safaris in the future and hope to see Ameri again! Great value for the experience!

Simon is great!
Simon was a great safari guide. He was knowledgeable and friendly. While the itinerary I booked got a little messed up and I was with different groups each day, Simon more than made up for it. In general, the camping safari was good value.
