Best Memories
I recently traveled to Africa with Camptrek, based in Kenya, and it was an incredible experience. Lucy was exceptional in helping me plan the itinerary and was always quick to respond to my questions. Her thoughtful gesture of gifting us personalized water thermoses at the start of the tour in Nairobi was much appreciated.A highlight of my trip was celebrating my birthday in Kenya, which was one of the best days of my life. We flew in a hot air balloon, enjoyed breakfast in the savannah, went on a game drive, and ended the day with massages at Sarova Mara. They surprised me with a delicious cake during dinner and sang "Happy Birthday," making it a truly emotional moment. Our guides were fantastic. Robert, in Kenya, made every day fun and shared fascinating insights about the wildlife. In Tanzania, Richard led us through stunning landscapes in the savannah and the Ngorongoro Crater, ensuring we felt safe and informed. In summary, my trip with Camptrek was unforgettable. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to explore the beauty of Africa!

Excellent Kenya and Tanzania Safari Tour
We did a 13 day safari tour incorporating parks in Kenya and Tanzania. The programme was put together by Margaret after some initial questions and then slightly tweaked to suit our needs.
We did a private tour just for the 2 of us but still travelled in the 8 seater 4x4, which was advantageous for us because (1) we were able to spread our belongings over the space (2) no competition or jostling for the photo taking and (3) it allowed us to decide and alter our programme each day in consultation with the driver.
Communication from Camp Trek’s Margaret started well in advance of the trip and continued throughout the trip. All queries were dealt with efficiently and quickly.
We visited Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara parks in Kenya and Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire parks in Tanzania. The vast plains of Masai Mara and Serengeti contrasted with the different landscapes of the lakes and crater. This meant that not everything was the same- the different landscapes were almost as much interesting as the wildlife.
We covered large distances and it is worth studying how much travel is required between parks, sometimes 6 to 7 hours in the vehicle. Having the private tour allowed us to shorten our game drives and increase the amount of downtime in the lodges, as and when required. Thanks to our Kenya driver Steve and Tanzania driver Richard who also co-ordinated well and the border crossings were handled very smoothly, also with John on our return border crossing and airport drop-off.
Some of the accommodations were based in the middle of the game park, in unfenced areas, which puts you literally in the game zone. Having the animals close to you is hard to believe. This does mean a disturbed night from the sounds of animals and a requirement to be escorted to and from your room after dark.
In summary, a bucket list event and strongly recommend Camp Trek Safaris to cater for your needs. Thanks to all the individuals mentioned above.

Incredible Safari Experience
We have just finished an 8 day safari with Camptrek safaris and I cannot recommend them enough. Prior to the vacation, the communication with Margaret was fantastic and she planned the perfect itinerary for us. John our guide was incredible for the 8 days he was with us. He knew everything there is to know about Kenya and all the national parks we visited and of course all the animals. He made it his mission to ensure we saw everything and we cannot thank him enough for making our dream holiday a reality. His English is fantastic and he was constantly attentive, ensuring everything was perfect for us. I would 100% recommend camptrek safaris to anyone thinking about doing a safari and I hope I get to experience one with you again. Thankyou

Dream Safari week with our brilliant guide John. Visited many national parks and saw the big 5!
I choose CampTrek safaris due to the good reviews I read on them and they were all completely correct. Before the trip I asked loads of questions to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and Margaret answers them all in detail. She put together the perfect itinerary for us that included everything we wanted. On day 1 we were picked up by both Margaret (who had brought us both a gift, which was a great touch) and our guide John. Over the next 8 days John took amazing care of us, he has years of experience so passed on so much fascinating information about the wildlife, the Masi people and Kenya in general! We learnt so much. Over the trip he made sure we saw everything we possibly could have, including each of the big 5 just meters from the car! (Some of them multiple times) He constantly checked we were ok and anything we asked of him he took care of. John made sure we had the perfect safari experience and we can’t thank him enough. Comparing various company’s before booking I can say that the value for money with CampTrek safaris is excellent. The accommodation was great and so was the food provided. I will be recommending CampTrek Safaris to any of my family and friends who are considering a Safari in Kenya.

Many thanks to Robert and the team of Camptrek Safaris for providing us with a perfect safari experience. Everything was perfectly organized so that we could enjoy our first trip to Africa to the fullest. Thanks to our experienced guide Robert, we had an exceptional time in Masai Mara und Amboseli National Park and were able to see the Big Five (among many other animals). We would highly recommend connecting with Camptrek Safaris.

The perfect safari trip to Kenya!
We've had the chance to start the year with a safari trip to Kenya, provided by Camptrek and hosted by our perfect guide Robert. We visited Maasai Mara and Amboseli NP. We were super lucky with the game drives and spotted 4 out of the Big Five and had an amazing time! Robert, our guide, made the trip unforgettable: he was a true expert and we've had a great time with him alongside us. He gave his best to show us all the animals and had useful information to all of them for us. We would recommend everyone to go on a trip with Robert!
Also the lodges we were staying were amazing: in Maasai Mara, we stayed at Zebra Lodge: This place was amazing! The staff was lovely and super attentive. They treated us wonderuflly and contributed as well to a wonderful experience. The camp was very nice, the food was good and the location breathtaking with animals all around us. In Amboseli we stayed at the Sopa lodge, a bit more touristy and classic but also well worth the experience. With these two lodges we got two different experiences and loved both of them!
All in all we were super happy with the whole experience and would recommend Camptrek to everyone for their safari-adventure!

Amazing experience in East Africa
I'm incredibly happy that we chose to book our safari with Camptrek.
I have done my fair share of travelling, and have been the person to do the research and booking for everything on all prior trips I have made, so I was a little nervous about planning a trip for africa where I would have to give over that aspect to a tour company. This ended up being a non issue, as Margaret and John were very easy to communicate with and very accomodating to our requests. They made sure everything was perfectly planned and had no issues creating multiple itineraries tailored to our wants.
We ended up deciding on an private safari, which had us visiting Rwanda and Uganda to see mountain gorillas, and Kenya and Tanzania for a more traditional Safari. We started in Kigali Rwanda and ended in Arusha Tanzania. Logistically everything went incredibly smooth, and outside of a borderline nonsensical drive to get from Masai Mara to neighbouring Serengeti (not their fault, but it is worth noting that despite being right beside eachother, there is almost a full travel day to go from one to the other due to the border location), the trip flowed very well. All of our lodging was amazing as well.
Once we arrived in Rwanda we were greeted by our first wonderful guide, Godfrey. He was incredibly friendly and made sure everything went perfectly for the gorilla trekking portion of our Safari. We visited a park I had never heard of before, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, and had an amazing experience with the mountain gorillas. Probably one of the most amazing things ive ever done in my life. We are already thinking about taking a future trip to Uganda, as there were many more parks in the country, and the people were incredibly welcoming.
When we arrived in Kenya we met our next guide Steve. Steve was an absolutely amazing driver, he was incredibly passionate about his work, and knowledgable about the parks and animals. He was in constant communication with the other drivers and made sure that if anything interestering happened while we were in the park that we were front and centre to see it. We saw dozens of lions, cheetahs, rhinos, and other amazing animals from mere feet away.
When we crossed over to Tanzania we met our next guide Simon. Simon was very friendly and went out of his way to help us out. Our game drives in Tanzania were quite eventful and we were able to see alot of animals. We had a late flight out of Arusha, and Simon went out of his way to adjust our plans to squeeze in an extra game drive in the morning, and took us to grab some things we needed in town. I really appreciated that, as he was under no obligation to do that.
Overall everything was perfect. If I were to book this trip again I would happily do so with Camptrek.

Amazing Experience
We loved our 5 day safari in Maasaimara and Amboseli National Park. Our Guide Robert was excellent. We've seen so many animals and he could answer all our question about nature and culture.
That's a once in a lifetime experience!
