Experience of a lifetime, perfectly organised by Ozon
We’ve recently returned from an unforgettable 5-day safari with Ozon, followed by 5 nights in Zanzibar (which they also arranged for us).
After much research and comparison with other safari companies, we decided to go with Ozon. As it was our first time booking an end-to-end experience with an external company abroad, we were initially a bit apprehensive as to what to expect, but from start to finish, we couldn’t fault the organisation, communication and professionalism of the company. Our sales contact, Yohana, was on hand to support throughout the entire booking process, responding to any questions we had in an incredibly timely manner and being flexible to accommodate our needs. He was also in regular contact to provide us with information and updates - including during the trip itself - which was invaluable.
Upon arrival in Tanzania, we met our guide, Innocent, who really completed the overall experience for us. Innocent was professional, friendly, and most of all, had an incredible depth of knowledge about the country’s wildlife and culture. He was also super experienced in understanding the landscapes and the most optimal places to be at certain times, but was flexible and accommodating to our wishes at the same time. He kept in regular contact and communication with other guides to maximise our chances of spotting different animals, and he put our safety first at all times. Overall, Innocent was passionate about giving us the best safari experience possible and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Our 5-day itinerary included highlights at Tarangire, Ndutu, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. The animals we were able to spot - and within such close proximity - completely exceeded our expectations. Thanks to Innocent, we were able to complete our lifelong dream of seeing The Big 5. Other highlights included seeing cheetahs, crocodiles, and the incredible migration of thousands of zebras and wildebeests.
Finally, we were extremely impressed with the standard of accommodation and food that was provided as part of our all-inclusive package. Each of the different lodges that we stayed at were immaculate with stunning views of the landscapes, and the service provided at them was excellent too. In addition, the selection of food throughout exceeded our expectations and we were incredibly well looked after at all times. We ended our trip with a few days in Zanzibar which was again seamlessly organised by Ozon.
Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ozon Light Tours to anyone considering a safari in Tanzania. We were pleased to be able to support a small local business in Arusha where they are clearly passionate about customer satisfaction and experience, and they couldn’t be more deserving of 5 stars. Thank you Ozon for an absolute once in a lifetime experience and a trip we’ll never forget!

Attention to detail and cost, sincere effort to ensure an experience of a lifetime.
My friend and I planned a 5-day safari covering Central Serengeti, Ndutu, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara and finalised with Ozon Light Tours over the period. February being a peak period, we booked well in advance. Yohana was great in helping us firm up the itinerary, selection of camps and the overall booking process. Yohana was prompt in his responses and met our needs through and through. We had a lovely time at each camp.
The two things I would have to say for the company to improve on are
1) Our vehicle tended to break down unexpectedly. It was a 6 seter but the middle and rear windows were jammed. We had to force our guide to open them during the Ngorongo safari. The binoculars were also a hoax.
2) Kessy our guide was positioned as very experienced. But since he had seen it all so many times, was quite uninterested. He was knowledgeable and courteous but very distracted. Kessy rarely used the radio to collaborate with other vehicles and find animal sightings. And very hesitant to take alternate back routes. Since he was just intent on completing the trip, we literally had to take matters into our hands and force him to stop at places.
All in all, we had a great experience with Ozon Light Travels. Yohana was a star, meeting our pre-travel needs for the safari and was kind enough to provide lunch hamper and sandbag for camera rest. We had enough water and drinks to last the trip comfortably. Yohana even picked us at the airport himself on our request and was instrumental in booking us in good accommodations as per our liking throughout.

Reply from Ozon Light Tours
Posted on Mar 19, 2025Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback and for choosing Ozon Light Tours for your safari adventure. We’re truly glad to hear that you had a great experience overall and appreciated Yohana’s support in planning your trip. He will be very happy to know that his efforts, especially in organizing your itinerary, accommodations, and additional touches like the lunch hampers and sandbag, made a positive impact.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the vehicle during your safari. We take such matters very seriously, and as a result, we have removed that particular vehicle from our safari operations for extensive and intensive maintenance. This is to ensure that no future guest experiences a similar issue—we’re committed to providing the highest standards of comfort and reliability.
Regarding Kessy, he is indeed one of our most experienced and respected guides, with over 30 years of guiding across Tanzania’s national parks. His deep knowledge, professionalism, and dedication to guest safety and park regulations are qualities are deeply valued by many customers. We would like to clarify that during your booking process, Yohana had explained that park entry permits are valid for 24 hours only. Despite this, you wanted Kessy to continue the game drive beyond the allowed time, which would have been a direct violation of park regulations. Kessy was simply unable to accommodate that request, as our guides must follow the rules strictly for the safety of our guests and preservation of the parks.
We hope to have the chance to welcome you again in the future for an even better and smoother experience.

Very impressed by the organisation and communication by Ozon.
The whole tour was amazing, virtually everything was perfect. The organisation of the tour from start to finish was first class. The hotels, lodges and transport were excellent. The views from our lodges were incredible. Food was amazing where ever we stayed. The staff at all the accommodations were so friendly. Our tour guide Innocent worked incredibly hard driving for hours every day, very knowledgeable and went all out to find the big 5 which he managed to do after several days of searching. We felt really safe with Innocent driving in some very precarious situations. So to sum up, our dream holiday was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone thinking about booking with Ozon.

Fantastic safari
We booked our Safari holiday with Ozon Light Tours. They were fantastic from our first enquiring of what we would like to do while we were in Tanzanian.
The communication was first class from all the team.
We did a 5 day safari and our Guild for them 5 days was a lovely man called Innocent. He was Friendly, polite and very informative. He went above and beyond for us to see the top 5 animals plus seeing so much more with his knowledge.
We couldn't thank him enough.
We stayed in some incredible lodges while on safari, which were clean and the food was amazing, with some breath taking views too.
Would definitely recommend this company for your safari

Very professional and friendly.
All expectations were clearly met and it was a fun and enjoyable tour. The driver by the name Innocent put great effort in showing the best places and all animals. He also explained a lot about the surrondings and made sure that all big 5 could be experienced. All in all one of the best vacations of my life!

Experienced guides & flexible private safari tour operator from Arusha
I can highly recommend Ozon as a safari tour agency. We booked a private safari for 3 people, as a 7-day trip across 5 different parks in northern Tanzania.
Our safari experience was truly exceptional, largely thanks to our outstanding guide Kess.
From the moment we set off, it was clear that our driver was not only experienced and knowledgeable, but also genuinely passionate about sharing the wonders of the Tanzanian wilderness. He navigated the parks with expertise, knowing all the best shortcuts and viewpoints, ensuring we captured the most incredible photos (he even stopped the engine when we needed sharp pictures and no noise for the recording) while always respecting our needs and preferences.
His clean and well-maintained Land Cruiser added to our comfort. While other companies offer beer and wine as part of the package, we were happy with a fridge with refreshing water and soft drinks. We purchased beer in local shops when we needed.
Our guide kept us informed and engaged throughout the journey, sharing fascinating insights about the wildlife and the local culture (e.g. talking about different tribes, farming). He was always attentive, listening to our requests and even utilizing radio communication with other drivers to track animal movements, maximizing our chances of unforgettable sightings.
Our guide's modesty was refreshing. He focused on providing an authentic and enriching experience, rather than pushing for extras. We were impressed by his attention to detail, double-checking everything to ensure our comfort and safety.
The safari itself was a dream come true, with breathtaking moments at Ndutu (the most positive surprise), the Ngorongoro Crater, vast lands of Serengeti, Manyara (another positive surprise), and Tarangire.
I appreciate the communication of Ozon Light Tours with Letson who took care of the booking and was securing all the admin stuff. We communicated via WhatsApp.
Ozon (as well as some other agencies) utilizes a software that creates compelling PDF offers that are clearly showing accomodations, schedule, and services offered in the price. There were no surprises nor attempts to manipulate the price.
The fantastic combination of lodges and mid-range tented camps Letson selected for us was great. Securing a hot air balloon ride was a good value for money, and the ride itself was an unforgettable experience.
Ozon's driver who took us on a final day to the airport was open to our suggestions, even helping us arrange unique experiences like trying the local mbege (banana beer).
We're also glad that we could support a local Arusha company (afaik with a female owner).
It's no wonder this tour agency consistently receives 5-star reviews – it truly deserves them!

Tour organized very well, good accommodations, excellent guide and driver, minor problems solved.
Ozon is a good tour operator both before departure, in the quotation phase, and afterwards during the tour. The drivers/guides were all very professional and knoledgeable. The accommodations were all good and responding to our expectations. Very good value for the money spent.
The problems that arose during the tour were solved quickly and Ozon was always well present during the whole tour.

Seamless Superb Safari Experience
With so many companies to choose from it’s hard to know who to go with - I can highly recommend working with Ozon to find a tailored trip to suit your needs
Booking is done via email and WhatsApp communications, and you have a nicely designed PDF that details your full itinerary to help you make amendments and tailor your holiday. Mr Yohana was very quick to respond and always on hand to provide answers to questions. The booking experience was seamless. Whilst it might feel strange booking your holiday without speaking to anyone - the Ozon team was more than happy to send through all the confirmations for our accomodation, which gave me reassurance they were a legitimate outfit.
We were assigned a lovely smiley driver called Ayonaise as our guide who was kind and accommodating to my retired mother (67yrs), and helped enormously by taking the stress out of making decisions by making everything simple and easy. He has a great relationship with the other Safari guides as well could tell he was asking and sharing information as to where to find the animals in each of the parks we went to.
The accomodation surpassed our expectations - we opted for mid-range but I would say Kon Tiki Lodge in the middle of the Serengeti was one of the best rented camps we’ve stayed in. Farm of Dreams was a base for two nights with a more hotel type vibe and both offered excellent buffet style catering for the all-inclusive meals.
The reviews are correct - this is a great, good value choice for a top budget / mid range safari holiday.
Best wishes on your Tanzanian Adventure!

Albert was very knowledgeable and made the experience a dream come true.
A ONE TIME LIFE EXPERIENCE!!!! I loved this safari tour. I was worried booking. I couldn’t find any reviews, videos, photos, or social media about ozone light tours. I couldn’t barely find any reviews on safari companies except the extremely overpriced/expensive companies. The price of ozone was fair and comparable to other safaris. We got a private driver and a huge off road vehicle for just my mother and I. The safari is tailored to whatever YOU PREFER. If you would like to change a place of stay, tour, etc. you can! Even adding experiences like visiting villages, animal rehab, hot air balloon etc. The tour operator, Letson, was very patient and kind to us as we changed a lot of the stays and asked 1,000 questions about the tour via WhatsApp prior to booking. We were picked up and dropped off at the airport as we wanted.
Our travel guide was Albert. I highly recommend if you book to ask the tour operator for Albert. I am not just saying that to give him business but I am saying this because he was EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of information during the safari.i feel I learned enough to write a book. He was very caring and patient. My mother has some digestion issues and he always made sure to have a bathroom available to us and offered herbal medications to help with digestion that worked! He also allowed us to choose what time we wanted to arrive and leave the tours. It’s almost like having a personal driver for all 6 days of the safari. We did notice other guide operators of other companies on the safari that were not as invested or passionate about their work. We felt lucky that our guide gave us a better experience and truly loves the wildlife.
I would advise to do the hot air balloon in the Serengeti during the great migration in February. During this time the Serengeti is much more beautiful than tirenguire which is more dry.
We stayed at a total of 3 different locations. They were not luxury but they were nice. We chose a mid level safari to save a bit of money. The food was good and edible. The service was 10/10. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They made me feel very safe. Tipping is not required but appreciated.
