I joined a six-day safari tour, and during that time, I was surrounded by breathtaking sights, making it an unforgettable experience. Despite it being the end of the high season, I was able to see a wide variety of animals. Our tour guide provided detailed insights into Maasai culture and the wildlife, enriching the journey even more. The chef was cheerful, and we enjoyed delicious meals every day. I am truly grateful for this intense and fulfilling experience.

Honest prices, passionate and knowledgeable guides and very good experiences.
5/5

We have booked a 6-day safari with Meru Slopes for a very competitive price, we can benefit from the quality of service available to companies that offer prices of 1.5 to 3 for the most important (nourishment, campsites, hotels, boissons...). This is a local business composed of people who know well the milieu and need to adapt to all your demands and objectives and respond to your questions. Après our safari, our avons demanded in the first minute a 2-day suit to aller visiter le lac Natron et monter le Ol Donyo Lengai, Meru Slopes nous a fait une offre tout a fait honnête et le lendemain 8h nous étions en route pour notre destination avec tout inclus.

Kilimanjaro (Lemosho 7 days), safari in Ngoto Ngoro and Tarangire (2 days)
5/5

Perfectly prepared trip, we were in group of 4 people (me 55, my daughter 29 and 2 super guides). Nice weather, no altitude sickness, what else you could wish...
Everything was really good (3 foods a day, tents, sleep bags...)
Also safari was nice, but first day in Ngoro Ngoro was for me a little better than second in Tarangire.

So amazing and surreal it was like a dream - unbeatable

From the planning of our safari, with the ever patient and always amazing help of Gift, to the execution with our excellent guide Jacob, we couldn't have wished for a better experience. From the plane landing in Arusha (the city) to being dropped of for our flight out, we were absolutely taken care of. We didn't have to worry about anything. (Quick tip, you can absolutely fly into Arusha airport instead of Kilimanjaro depending on where you're coming from. Arusha airport is a bit closer to the city and has direct flights to and from Zanzibar.)

Meru Slopes truly wants you to have the safari of a life time and their attention to detail was incredible. The amenities of the jeep were excellent, always cold water, pop, beer, and wine along with WiFi (when accessible) and charging stations, every conceivable concern on such a journey was removed.

The accommodations were comfortable, spacious and the service very good. The food provided was plentiful, mostly varied, with something for everyone and the serving staff friendly, courteous and almost always joyful.

The game drives, themselves, were plentiful, with something amazing to see (be it scenery or animals) almost every moment. We hit the big five and the ugly five, plus so much more. The best part wasn't that we saw everything, but the knowledge of both animals, environment and culture that was shared by Jacob.

We can't recommend Gift or Jacob enough. Without either of them, our trip would surely not have been so breathtakingly wonderful

Fantastic family trip
5/5

I had booked this safari trip with Jerome. He is very professional and responsible. Since this is the first time I booked a safari tour, he always answered my questions quickly and throughly. He had visited us twice before and after tour to make sure we were comfortable.
We requested a tour guide with experience and easy to communicate. Jerome had assigned Samwel to us as our tour guide. He is exactly what we asked. He had a lot of years experience so can easily find animals. He is very acknowledgeable with Tanzania history and culture so he gave us an introduction of this beautiful country. He is also very flexible. He can adjusted our schedule based on what we requested at same time to make sure we saw everything.
Thank both Jerome and Samwel to make our trip comfortable. Meru slopes is absolutely we will recommend if you are interested in booking a safari tour in Tanzania.

Professional and well organized from start to finish!

Jambo! We did the 5-day Private Comfort Safari to Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris.

Prior to booking the trip with Meru, I compared the package they offered with 3 other companies and found this to be as good, and some cases better for what we were looking for in a safari.

There were less expensive packages with other companies, but I liked Meru's presentation that they sent us with their quote. It seemed professional and covered a lot of the questions that I would have otherwise had to ask with other companies.

The other thing that I felt was very important (before and after making the booking) was that Kelvin, their manager, was available via WhatsApp and was able to respond to my questions quickly and accurately. It gave me the feeling of knowing that he cared that I was going to be happy with our decisions.

He was at the airport in Arusha to personally greet us and introduce us to our driver for the tour. That was a nice touch. He also offered to meet again to say goodbye at the conclusion of our safari.

From start to finish we felt well taken care by our fantastic driver/guide (Julius) and he did his very best to make sure we saw everything there was to see each day. The accommodations were great. We stayed the first night at Acacia Farms, then on to Serengeti and Kubu Kubu tented Lodge for 2 nights, and then last but certainly not least was the Melia Ngorongoro. The breakfast and dinner meals were top notch at every location and the daily boxed lunches were decent as well. I have to say, the Melia Ngorongoro was outstanding (wow). The sun rises and sunsets from Melia and Kubu Kubu are a 'must see'.

A fun extra on this trip for me was re-learning Swahili with Julius, our driver during our game drives. I had worked in Mtwara, Tanzania for about 1 1/2 years back in 2007/2008 and did a shorter version of this same safari back then. I think he enjoyed me trying and failing and correcting and trying again, just as much as I did. We even had my girlfriend Angie speaking a little Swahili by the end of the safari. Julius is a great guy - ask for him.

In conclusion, other than not seeing the leopard this trip, I can't think of how anything could have been better. Angie felt the same way. Ok, maybe one thing - fix that road from Ngorongoro to the Serengeti. It's a rough ride!

I highly recommend Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris for this trip. It all goes by too quickly, but you'll be leaving Arusha with a big smile and some great memories! Hakuna Matata! Asante Sana!!

Perfect honeymoon safari!
5/5

Our tour was nothing short of a once in a lifetime experience! Jerome helped us through the booking process and he was quick to answer all questions and helped us book additional services! There was someone at the airport for us right away that took us off to our first hotel! All our hotels were amazing, even better than I expected to be honest. The staff at all hotels were amazing and they were all great locations and comfortable! Our safari driver was Florian and he was clearly very experienced! He got us everywhere safely and was an expert at spotting animals! He also was taught us a lot about the animals as we went! Speaking of animals we got to see SO many more than I thought we were going to!! We also added on the hot air balloon ride to our itinerary and it was worth every penny! A once in a lifetime experience.

Overall it was the honeymoon of our dreams and we would recommend everyone to do it!! We will be reminiscing about it for many years to come!

Perfect and amazing Safari
5/5

Many thanks to Meru Slopes for the perfect organization and execution of our private safari. From the first contact we were professionally looked after by our contact person Almachius Audax: our emails were always answered very quickly and the safari proposal was adapted to our wishes.
All services of the safari corresponded 100% to the booked tour scope.
The safaris themselves were amazing - Tanzania impressed us across the board in this respect. As we have already been on safari in Kenya, Namibia and South Africa, we can classify this well.
With the help of our guide, we were able to observe the animals at close range, always taking care not to crowd them. (Unfortunately, this was not the case with all safari operators)
Our driver and guide was very experienced and drove us safely through really difficult terrain.
Another highlight was the consistently very comfortable accommodation: whether lodge or tented camp - we were extremely satisfied. The same applies to the food and drinks. The price-performance ratio was right for us. Our decision to rely on an experienced and highly rated provider proved to be the right one.

Conclusion: we can recommend Meru Slopes without exception and would book here again at any time.
