Friendly, informative, fun tour guides
Emile and Peter were great - they answered all my questions about the tour and got everything organised. We had a comfy car with air con and everything was thought of. The accommodation for the gorilla trek was beautiful and the trek itself amazing. This was an all included tour and nothing was too much trouble. I thought value for money was very good and thoroughly enjoyed it as a way to finish my trip to Rwanda.

Emile was knowledgeable and ensured we had an incredible experience!
We went on an incredible 2-day safari in Akagera National Park in early March 2025. With Emile’s expertise, we were able to see 4 out of the Big 5! Despite going on numerous other safaris in Tanzania, Uganda, and Malawi, I have never been able to get the close up views of black rhinos and male lions that Emile was able to provide in Akagera National Park. I would highly recommend this company and national park!

Reliable and friendly people
Thanks Emil. We are a couple from Thailand 🇹🇭 Lion Safaris help us with the tour. We stay at Ruzizi tent which is perfect in the middle of the park, fantastic food and staff. Gorilla 🦍 trekking is unforgettable. Over all we have a great time 🙏

Perfect Rwanda trip
We had an amazing trip to Rwanda with Lion Safaris. Emile was very responsive to my emails and created a superb trip to include everything that we wanted to see. We were met at the airport and then given a tour of Kigali. We were then taken to Volcanoes National park by Peter who looked after us for the next 4 days, making sure we were on time for all activities as well as sharing knowledge throughout the drives between locations. They arranged activities including Gorilla trekking, Golden Monkey trekking as well as a boat tour on Lake Kivu. Everything was perfect. I will be recommending friends and family to visit Rwanda and to use Lion Safaris.

Great experience
I had an incredible experience with Lion Safaris doing an 8 day combination of gorilla trekking, chimp trekking and safari! We had 3-day safari to Akagera National park with Emile at Lion Safaris as our guide. Emile was knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. The safari experience was beyond our expectations with big 5 sightings and so much more. The accommodations at Ruzizi were also do much more than expected. We were serenaded by the hippos our night which only added to the experience. We highly recommend Emile to other travelers looking for a Rwanda safari adventure.

They were just great, doing everything you needed and so much more.
Lion Safaris was great! From the moment they picked me up at the airport until the moment they dropped me off at the end of my trip, they made sure that I had everything I needed and that I had the best experience imaginable. They were very knowledgeable about Rwanda and constantly had more information to share as well as answers to any questions I asked. And let’s not forget to mention how insane it was to be 10 feet away from a mountain gorilla.

Epic - Big 5 ticked off
From the 1st contact Emile, was helpful and help us choose what was good for us, and especially have two young boys it was key to keep them involved. We had several game drives and managed to see a different animal on each occasion, and eventually saw the parks big 5, truly amazing.
