A great safari in the Garden of Even
We were three friends who decided to spend a week visiting Northern Tanzania parks. Everything was perfect! Our driver was excellent and this made the difference. In fact we often saw other cars getting in the mud: we even helped some to restart...! If I will come back to Tanzania in the future I will surely contact Savannah.

The company has been professional, organizing a good tour on my requests and trying to satisfy my family requests, travelling with kids. Service has been good.

Simply unforgettable ...!!
We are just back from a Safari trip in Tanzania planned and organized with Savannah Explorers.
This was our 6th trip to Africa, but This One has been one of the best experience we had among our trips even if, also all the others have been amazing. Thanks to Roberto and his staff everything was simply perfect, from the arrangements during booking stage,(quick and prompt replies, help to organize our safari following our requests and needs) flights, lodges, ( the Kati Kati tended Camp at Serengeti is an experience to be lived ) the jeep, everything perfectly organized. But our main Thanks goes to the driver/guide who was really exceptional!! Peter was so professional, so prepared, so nice. He made our staying simply a dream that became true.He did whatever possible to make our trip the best as possible. We saw all the Big Five...and many of them!!! When we arrived I expressed to Peter my wish to see the "lion cubs/ puppies " and he did the impossible to realize my dream : we saw 18 little cubs with Mums and Dads that I will never forget! So, to make it short, we highly recommend Savannah Explorers for a Safari in Tanzania...(we are already planning our next one) Thanks Roberto, Floriana and Peter ! Hopefully we will be in touch again soonest for another marvelous experience in the wonderful Tanzania. We will keep this experience in our minds and in our hearts for a long time ....and only another similar experience will be able to renew the feelings and the emotions we had recently. High Quality Safari!
We had a 6 days safari with Savannah Explorers. Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Serengeti.
All this with a pretty amazing tour guide who was fluent in English and Italian. Althoug we can't give Savannah Explorers the credit for the wildlife and the national park we can most certainly say that the preparation and planning of the safari as well as its execution have been flawless. Would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

A dream come true
Thanks Roberto, you have realized the dream of Gabriel. We have not seen a lion, but hundreds of lions all at close range. You made us live a week full of unique and unrepeatable emotions. The organization was perfect in every aspect, in the selection of parks to visit, in all cozy rooms and barrier-free, the machine made available. A special thanks for having entrusted to Peter, a true professional, skilled in driving, caring, great spotter of animals, willing to answer all our questions about African culture. We will return to Africa, surely with Savannah Explorers
a well organised Kilimanjaro experience, with outstanding guides and a great team of porters
the communication about the various options was good, and the service received from all ( from the pick up at the airport, the drivers and especially the guides and porters) was great !
we did change the itinerary , in the last 2 days of the "Whiskey route", to suit our pace and needs, and the guides were very supportive. A special thank you note goes to Jerome for having taken us to see a doctor in Moshi, on our return, and still making it in time to the Kili airport !

Good communications with Skype to organize tour. In tanzania we talked with the manager who explained us very well our tour and how to stay with our guide. He told us to talk to him to understand the country e the culture of tanzania. The safari was really great

The Safari has been perfect.
Who we are ?
We are in our 50's. My wife is a good non professional photographer, I am non professional photographer and I care videos. We love travelling. 2 years ago, we had the Route 66 in USA. Last year we had Transiberiana by train (Moscow-UlaanBaatar-Beijing) .
We had (before this holiday) experiences in Botswana, Zimbabwe,South Africa,Namibia, travelling on our own. Of course we Love nature and animals. In Tanzania we had 2 weeks of safari, planned with Mr. Roberto.
Communications : All the Pre-Safari has been perfect. Every time I asked for something by mail I received a quick answer. Renata and I, we never felt 'alone' or 'forgotten'. The advices of Mr. Roberto and Mrs. Floriana made the safari perfect. Always follow their advices, they really know their job and the environment of Tanzania.
Service :
- Car : the car made it's job and it it was as we expected . Perfect on the difficult roads of the parks, it allowed us to take pictures as we desired. Drinks always available and cold. Recharge of the cameras on the car. Just don't forget to bring on your own a couple of AC Adaptors. We never felt in danger.
- Hotels/Tent/Food : Perfect organization. The tented camps were in wonderful positions, the people working there always very nice. The food was always very good, the food boxes too. We never suffered from stomach diseases. Remember to bring from your country stuff enough for mosquitos and Tze-Tze. Never black or blue dresses/shirts and so on. The beds allowed us a great rest. High quality rooms, confortable tents. Unforgettable showers. Bring on your own a lamp that helps in tented camps (anyway they provide it) . Never felt in danger, animals are not interested in tents. Always do what locals advice you to do.
- Guide : The most important 'role' in our holiday. We spent 2 weeks side by side with Mr. Yudathadei Lyimo. A true professionist. Safe guide, skilled in difficult roads, always on time. He brough us to see everything. 5 Leopards seen ( I saw just 1 Leopard in all of the previous holidays) , many Cheetas, and we lost the count of Lions. And we can't forget the experience of the Great Migration of Gnu. Don't miss it.
From the professional point of view, Mr. Yudathadei is a rare example of professionality. Always in the right place with a safe skilled drive. Always in the perfect car position (sometime in the crowd of cars) for us to take pictures and admire animals.
Beside the great job of Mr. Yudathadei, he is a smart and skilled person (with a deep sensibility) who teached us a bit of the nice Tanzanian culture. My wife and me, we always said that our family grew up of one unity, during the holiday, with Yudathadei. A nice person to share 2 weeks with. And keep in touch.
- Safari : I hope I transferred to the reader the enthusiasm for the safari itself. About the country, North Tanzania is simply astonishing. Even the small parks has always something special, they deserve being visited. Animals are great, and the environment unforgettable.
Expectations : Excellent holiday. Tanzania helps, it is already wonderful on its own. Mr Roberto and Mrs. Floriana planned a nice escalation of emotions. Mr. Yudathadei made real the emotions.
If we will have again the chance to come back to Tanzania, of course we will contact Savannah Explorers again.
Even if I am not George Clooney..........What else ?

It was an amazing travel
We took a travel with our friends (two families) in Tarangire, Serengeti National Park and Ngorngoro with the Savannah Explorers. It was an amazing travel, deeply into the nature, very well organized.
Lodges and tendeed camps were clean, comfortable and the guys who followed us were very kind and polite.
We visited the parks by two out-road vehicles followed by prepared and availables guides. We have seen a lot of groups of animals migrating along the Mara river; it was an amazing experience such as have seen a leopard hunting and bringing its prey over a tree. It was an unforgettable scene.
We spent few days in the Ngorngoro Village Lodge situated on the namesake crater; there were an amazing view from there and it was so wonderful that it built in my mind fliyng feelings. We didn't waste a lot of time cause every movement along the path was perfectly scheduled. I can say that, even if it was my fourth safari in Africa, this trip was organaized very well and everything it has been beyond my expectations.
