This company is truly great! We had a great time and would highly recommend this Safari. Our guide Benson was excellent he was very knowledgeable about the animals and great driver. Our Chef Godbless, yes that is his name, is fantastic!! me an my husband were amazed how he is able to arrange and cook so delicious so fast, even the lunchboxes were great, is plenty of food. The dinners were the best!
The company placed you in a hotel with great location the night before and after, service was excellent and rooms are clean, we we're very impressed and Geoffrey is always making sure we have everything we need he is always great at communicating back via WhatsApp.

Great
The 5 days camping safari was great. Geofrey was very helpful and friendly. We saw so many animals and the crater is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.
The tents were nice and the food was fine. The price for the tour was very good.

best safaritour ever!!
The communications and service were perfect!! It needed just 2 mails and the safari was booked. Everything was clear since the beginning. We were picked up from the airport as agreed. Our guide Simon was the best guide we could imagine. He was so effort, knowing, considerate and talkative. Our cook "the stomach engineer" conjured delicious dishes! For breakfast we had omelettes, pancakes, sausages, toast, jam, coffee, hot chocolate. The lunch boxes were surprisingly tasty. Everything was selfmade by "the stomach engineer". These two guys made the safari an unforgettable experience!
Thank you so much for that!!

Excellent 6D5N Safari on the classic circuit (Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro)!
We picked Meru Slopes for our 6 days, 5 nights (budget) Safari in Tanzania and were super satisfied! Communication with Geofrey is very easy and fast, he accommodated all our changes and answered all our questions. No hidden fees. Plus, there is a free extra night at the Arusha Tourist Inn at the start and the end of the tour and pick up and drop off at the airport included, so it is completely hassle-free!
Our guide Benson and our cook Richard were excellent, never pushy or stressful, and always up for just that little bit extra that makes your safari perfect! We saw everything except Rhinos, and it was an amazing experience! Food was great and plentiful! The stop at a Maasai village is completely optional, and you don't have to do it if your group decides against it. We were also pleasantly surprised by the budget campsites in Serengeti (Pimbi Camp) and at the Crater (Simba Camp) - the bathroom facilities were cleaned once a day.
I highly recommend going with Meru Slopes, everything was beyond our expectations! Do bring a little bit of toilet paper and wet wipes for the dust and don't forget binoculars! Thanks to Geofrey, Ben and Richard for making our trip so memorable!

Parks and wildlife were great, tour operator was not
I booked a 6D/5N with Meru Slopes, reading great reviews on SafariBookings.com.
I was dismayed to find out that they had shuffled me into a different company's safari, for unknown reason. This group was called Arunga Expeditions.
The guide spoke maybe 100 words the entire safari, we had battery issues with the LandCruiser, the lunch boxes were awful (dry muffin + banana + FOUR pieces of plain bread + juice box), and we were always rushed. When we would stop at say a large pride of lions and want to spend 5-10 minutes, the guide would try and start driving away after 1 minute to find something else. We'd have to ask him to stop so we can stay and watch the lion and actually take photos. He was never happy with this and often very rude. Often we'd leave something like this after 2 minutes and not see anything as spectacular the rest of the day. He'd mutter something like "many more lions later". The itinerary was to have FULL safari days at certain spots (Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti) but this only meant 4 - 5 hours to the guide. He would sleep in, start slow, and end early, so he could take off from the campsite and go drink a couple beers and watch football somewhere. We were always the last vehicle out in the morning and first ones back. The itinerary had a full day booked at Ngorongoro but we were finished BEFORE lunch time. How does this work?

Our tour guide Mandela and Chef Dionyses made this trip spectacular, they are gems in the industry!
Spent 2 days in Serengeti National Park and 1 day in Ngorongoro Crater and had a blast. Saw all the Big 5 and so much more. Our guide and chef made the safari a memorable experience and they had a lot of knowledge of the animals and cultures of the area.

A little complicated
There was a misalignment on my expectations (wanted to see the Great Migration) versus what the safari package finally delivered (normal safari not focused on the Great Migration), I had chosen the package I did because it was supposed to focus on the Great Migration.
I have to admit that despite the misalignment of expectations I saw a lot and I have done a couple of safaris before in other countries.
Meru Slopes is a very good safari provider, just make sure you discuss the details before deciding on a package.
P.D. They offered a quick and good service recovery (discount on a future tour) once they realized that I was not entirely happy with the service they delivered.

Good safari for a reasonable price: 5 day budget camping Safari for +- €800
Communication via mail and whats app. This went very well though its maybe a good idea to use an online paying program in stead of just making a deposit.
Safari itself was well organised. We were picked up from a hotel and brought to the hotel of Meru slopes in Arusha. This hotel was basic but clean.
Next morning we left at 6 am and drove to the first camping site in Serengeti. We did not do safari the first day and that was a disapointing because we thought we would see already animals. Camping site in Serengeti was beautiful but toilets en showers were dirty.
Camping site in Ngorongoro was nog nice. A lot of people, very dirty toilets and showers, very cold at night.
The food during the safari was very good.
We saw the big 5 and the great migration so that is of course the most important and a big succes.
Our guide and chef were very friendly.
The safari car was a bit to old and not so comfortable..
Overall we enjoyed it very much. A very reliable company!
