Totally recommend
We totally recommend somewhere in Africa for a Safari tour, it was a great trip. We went on safari for 5 days, visit Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro crater, stayed in camps (which was amazing) and beautiful lodges. Our guide was very experienced, reliable and great company to be with. He did his best to show us the unknown places, which is one of the reasons we have seen all of the big 5! Great communication beforehand while making the booking.

Very well organised operator
We had a splendid tour of 6 days with guide Amani. After Tarangire and Mayara national parcs we went to the Serengati. Wow, what a parc! We slept there in Tukaone, a tented camp. We heard the elephants, waterbucks, zebras en jackals passing our tents at night. Incredible what an experience. The other days we slept in lodges. Eileens trees and Hhando coffee lodge were terrific. Twiga lodge lodge was middle class but okay. Overall we had a splendid safari.

A very good oranisation which provides what they prommise.
Our guide we have had for about 7 times before, then working for another company.
He is really fantastic. Besides gamedrives we visited several schools, bringing a lot of materials for the nurseryclass.
He helps us with everything, for instance buying extra materials en very important the communication with people who do not speak very well English.
We found out this new company is very reliable, well organised and does what they promise.
Lunches on route were every time very good.

Perfect safari
We went to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara with Somewhere in Africa Expeditions and we had a great time. Our guide could tell us so many nice things and took the time to spot the animals we wanted to see. Everything from beginning to end was very good. Value for your money is great!

Amazing!
Allan from Somewhere in Africa helped us with planning the safari and made a great offer with everything we asked. We did a 5 days safari including a hot air balloon. Everything was well organized and we did not have to think about anything. Our tour guide Sudi was the best! You noticed how much experience he had. He just saw every animal in the tree, behind a bush etc.. He had a lot of patience, with the patience and experience he had we have seen the big 5 and even the migration.

Exceptional skill and service
Allen did a fantastic job crafting the safari of our dreamscape for our honeymoon and was very patient with us when exploring various itineraries and costing them out.
Sudi was an outstanding guide who gave us a truly first class experience. He has an exceptional talent for reading animal behaviour and placing you in the right spot to witness it. And his knowledge of the plains seemed limitless. I cannot recommend him enough.

A very kind and correct man.
We really enjoyed our safari trip to tarangire and ngorongoro. The guide was very kind and calm and gave us plenty of time to watch a lot of animals. The house where we slept was really neat and was very comfortable after a long safari day. We also loved the food the chef prepared for us. This safari was definitely worth the money, exept the way of payment was a bit of a struggle. I would advice you to pay with cash in stead of card. Overall I can definitely recommend going on safari with somewhere in Africa.

Awesome safari
My friend and I went on a 4 day safari to three different parks: Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. We were already in Tanzania when we booked the safari and the data was very flexibel. It was very easy to communicate with Allan if we had any questions. The 4 days of safari was an awesome experience. We had a really nice driver who drove us to all the beautiful places and made sure we always had the perfect spot to see the animals. The food was also very delicious and the cook made sure we were not short of anything. I would highly recommend booking a safari via Somewhere in Africa!

Great, kind, helpful team!
Host is a great man, who will do anything, just ask and he will help out. Team that cooks, does laundry, cleans are super kind, and always there for you. Volunteers can be a pain in the ass, don’t mind them. Be open about your sense of money, people in the street can easily rip you off. Always discuss and ask questions before you go get something, to Allan or Kevin. Don’t go hustling on the markets by yourself, you will be treated better and will get a better price when you are with a local you trust. You are safe to go for walks in the day, even alone. Always let someone know where you go and when you will come back. People in Tanzania a sensitive and kind human beings; remember you are very very rich in their eyes and compared to them. So kindly and strongly say know when you don’t want something. Walk away and be honest.
