Incredibly dedicated and wonderful team!
Where do I begin! Wayfairer diligently stuck with us over 18 months to plan the best 2022 Tanzanian itinerary for a family safari and beach holiday. My daughter and I were given excellent and timely recommendations and advice, as if we were Wayfairer’s only clients. Nothing was too small or great and we experienced the trip of a lifetime. Tanzania was our twenty-second country as a family and we were not disappointed. Our flights, transfers, and lodge accommodations all fell into place seamlessly and were beyond what we expected. It was nothing short of breathtakingly exquisite. We gained family with the Wayfairer team and left our hearts in Africa. Thank you!

Wayfairer’s concierge team did a fantastic job
We had the most incredible Safari trip with our family of four this summer. Wayfairer went above and beyond our expectations. We arrived at airports and somebody was always there to greet us. We even checked out from our last hotel to be told that Wayfairer had organised a late check out!! An absolute treat as we had a late flight home. I would highly recommend the Serengeti as we managed to see the ‘big five’ by day two and even the great migration of the wildebeest and zebra crossing the Mara river. Our guide was exceptional (ask for Emmanuel Kileo) , the accommodation was just stunning and the balloon flight over the Serengeti was so memorable. I would gladly hand over our itinerary without a single change.

Mind-blowing Family Safari in Botswana and Zimbabwe
Wayfairer designed the perfect safari for our family of six (kids ranging from 11 - 18). After several rounds of preparation with our consultant we were able to chose the best itinerary and locations for us to do walking and driving safaris in Botswana, adding the Vic Falls at the end. The teams on the ground and the guides were simply amazing and every member of our family got the best out of the trip. Highly recommend Wayfairer for someone seeking a personalized, sustainable, once in a life-time safari.

The perfect honeymoon!
The team at Wayfairer planned our perfect honeymoon and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Going on safari had been a lifelong dream for us, and Maggie planned an itinerary which took into account our preferences and budget and exceeded all our expectations!! She delivered a truly personal service from start to finish, and planned every little detail to make sure we had the most incredible trip to South Africa and Mauritius. Toon was our concierge contact and her communication was excellent and always friendly and personable. Excellent Tour Operator - Really let us enjoy our Honeymoon
I was really hesitant to book via a Tour Operator because I'd never done that before. I could not have been happier going with Wayfairer Travel. They helped customize the trip exactly to our liking, and everything was arranged and coordinated perfectly.
It was a huge relief to not worry about coordination, timing, the quality of the places we were staying in and just focus on enjoying our trip.

We reached out to numerous travel agencies to book our safari honeymoon adventure. We ultimately settled on Wayfair. Right from the get go they were very attentive to the experiences we were looking for and able to create a custom travel plan which suited our needs. Amazing coordination start to finish!
My husband and I started planning our honeymoon and didn't even have a settled location. Wayfairer helped us compare different experiences from across the world for best times, costs, different activities etc. We were thrilled when we settled on Kenya for May 2020. As everything began to shift and change in spring 2020 Wayfairer was clear and communicative throughout. We decided on new times and they rebooked and reconfirmed everything. Two years later the trip was incredible! We knew exactly what we needed for logistics and were able to disconnect and enjoy start to finish. Recommended highly!

Outstanding capability to tailor the safari experience to match your desires
Cat did a wonderful job of translating our desire as a family of 5, for an experience that got us really immersed in the nature, balanced exploring a number of places with not rushing around, and a medium level of comfort/luxury.
For us that translated into visiting 6 locations in 14 days; Lake Manyara, Ngorogoro crater, Serengeti (2 camps) and Maasai Mara (2 camps). I’d highly recommend three things;
- a walking safari (20km with an overnight in the middle). Walking amongst your favourite African animals gave a totally different sensation from being in a vehicle and fly camping under the stars with food cooked on a campfire was wonderful.
- stay in a private conservancy in Maasai Mara; aside from the positive sustainability aspects, the limited vehicles and the ability to drive off road provided amazingly close encounters notably with lions, cheetahs, elephants and leopards.
- avoid the balloon safari; this was great advice which we took despite thinking it would be amazing, as it doesn’t deliver on how one imagines it to be. Folk we spoke to that did do one, were disappointed by the experience (not great viewing and a big crowded basket) and at $500pp a bit of a rip. A couple said it would be good to watch the great migration (1000+ herds).
I highly recommend Wayfairer, as they’re really knowledgable and professional giving confidence they’ll put a great trip together, and they did a great job of quickly sorting a last minute cancellation in Kenya in a way that avoided negatively impacting us.

Remarkable Trip to Botswana and Zambia
Incredible and well-organised experience that was perfectly arranged by Toon and Josh at Wayfairer. Josh created the initial itinerary that was based off of my initial ideas/budget and Toon dealt with any other requirements or requests after the itinerary was created. This was a 2 week trip through Botswana and Zambia with multiple transfers and the professionalism, patience, communication and availability was both exceptional and reassuring. Looking forward to my next trip with Wayfairer!
