7-Day Gorilla, Chimpanzee Tracking and Wildlife Safari
Used safaribookings.com to get in touch with different tour operators, was promptly contacted by Lilu Safaris. They also answered very quickly to various questions we had about the trip.
We were picked up in Kigali (Rwanda) where the trip started with a Golden monkey safari, from there the trip went on to Uganda and a gorilla safari in the lovely Bwindi! After a few wonderful days in the rainforest, the trip continued to the Queen Elisabeth National Park with a game drive, boat trip and chimpanzee trekking. On the way to Kampala we stopped for an overnight stay at beautiful lake Mburu.
Rwanda and Uganda are two wonderful counties to explore, see lovely nature and meet nice people, and we really recomend to go there on your next trip to Africa! Very satisfied and happy about choosing Lulu Safaris Uganda and our guide Charles as our travel companions!

Reliable, professional and friendly
My wife and I went for the first time to Africa and definitely we would never find a better tour guide tan Lulu Safari. Every single penny was worth it!
Starting with the quick responses, very polite and professional during the quote process. We always felt that they were on top of our plans and when we asked for a change in our itinerary the answer came very quick.
Our flight got delayed by 6 hours so we communicated it and still they made it up to all our plans. Also in the middle of the trip WE decided to change plans and they were so accommodating and made all the changes within minutes (we went in low season). That make us feel so lucky to have them!!
Now for the 8 days experience, I am definitely speechless, the hotels they selected were top and luxurious… in all of them we felt like home, very clean and safe!
The safari was amazing, our tour guide Robert knew very well all the parks and had so much experience to spot the animals we went to see (and some we have no idea how he spotted them :)). The jeep we had gave us the real safari experience, it was very confortable for a 1.86 cm guy that i am and 4 wheel drive that is much needed during raining season. Also, everyone knew our guide so that made us feel very confortable and lucky to have him as a guide.
The gorilla trekking experience is TOP, we stayed 10 mins driving distance to the entrance of the park, once in the park we were with more tourist but have to say that Robert knew exactly all the procedures for registration, also he gave us some tips that were essential for an incredible day with the gorillas.
The food that was part of our package was always good. Most of the times we ate food in our hotels but couple of times we went to eat in local restaurants so we had the experience of the local cuisine.
Last but not least, shoutout to our guide and friend Robert. Since day 1, he made us feel like home, very experience and knowledgable about every single detail of our trip. Every night he explained us in detail the plan for the next day and during the activities he made sure we were his priority. We will be thankful for life with him for his kind words and all the effort he shows in daily basis.
Traveling is always better when you are with locals and this trip with Lulu made us feel part of the Lulu family!
If you are doubtful about a safari provider do not think about it and contact them!

Our guide, Charles, was fantastic. He came highly recommended and certainly lived up to reputation.
We decided last minute to book a trip with Lulu Safaris Uganda. They were immediately responsive to our requests and offered us a tailored itinerary to fit our travel dates. The communication throughout the booking process was smooth and timely. The once in a lifetime experience of seeing the mountain gorillas made the trip worth every penny. The lodging and accommodations in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest were amazing. We had beautiful morning views from our lodge balcony, and the restaurant was great. Our second night on Lake Bunyonyi was stunning. The lodge was a peaceful retreat following the long morning hike to see the gorillas. Overall, I highly recommend Lulu Safaris Uganda!

Just WOW!!! Trip of a lifetime with the most amazing guides!
From the outset Elvis was super accommodating, very responsive and ensured the pre-arrival process was effortless!
I opted for the 10 days Safari. I shopped around and went with Lulus as there price was competitive and reviews were fantastic.
On day 1 I was met by the huge warm smiles from Samuel and Sara and that set the tone for the trip. The next 10 days were a breathtaking experience. I really wish I had longer. I was traveling solo so having such amazing and caring guides made me feel like I was at home in Uganda. The culture, people and natural environment was stunning.
I did a 8 day Serengeti safari after Uganda and it confirmed for me the diversity of landscapes found in Uganda, over every hill is a new and stunning natural phenomena. It is the pearl of Africa!
I will be back with my wife and the first thing I will do is contact Lulus! I would recommend you do the same

Great, above all expectations!
The experience with Lulu Safari was great! Uganda is truly the pearl of Africa, a daydream, a unique territory, where nature presents itself in all its splendor. We saw many animals: lions (even cubs), leopards, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, gazelles, hippos, crocodiles, chimpanzees. The gorilla search was a fantastic experience, truly incredible, in the middle of the jungle, and the family of gorillas we found filled our hearts. The lodges where we stayed were comfortable and clean, all set in beautiful surroundings, full of birds and plants. The staff was always friendly and understanding towards us. The rangers who accompanied us were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Our driver Samuel was fantastic, really kind and ready to satisfy our requests, always with kindness and a big smile. The entire organization of Lulu Safari (the movements, the entrance to the parks, the meeting with the guides, etc.) was precise, in fact practically perfect. I really loved this trip, every day was a huge surprise, it filled me with wonderful, unforgettable memories. All this thanks also to liulu safari and samuel!

Dreams came true!
If we put together an ultimate wish list before we went, we couldn’t have begun to imagine how much this would beat anything we could have wished for.
It all starts with the communication between ourselves and the Lulu Safaris team. Elvis answered every question and query thoughtfully and promptly, regardless of the day or time. He adjusted the plans and tailored them to meet our interests, which meant we included everything we hoped to (and more!)
Upon arrival in Rwanda, we were met by our guide for the duration of the trip, Charles. Wow, how lucky were we!
Warm, funny, helpful, knowledgable, there’s so much we could say about Charles, the King of safaris.
Charles was there every step of the way, helping us and listening to our interests and making it happen. Even though we definitely made him work very hard (day safari, night safari, and then repeat and repeat again) and there was little time for rest, he was always smiling and happy. Thank you Charles for enabling us to cram in everything we wanted. If you prefer a slower pace to us, this would most certainly be catered for too.
From an incredible gorilla trek where we came face to face, to a sleeping leopard right before us. With animals on the road as we drove, and beautiful sites during boat cruises. Walking safaris, golden monkey treking, chimpanzees and even reaching the equator point - we couldn’t have ever hoped for more.
Stunning views, wonderful lodges with the most incredible and friendly staff who became like friends, tasty food and a whole lot of photography.
We were fortunate to visit both Rwanda and Uganda on this trip. Both are beautiful places and we felt very welcome and safe. Most of our trip was in Uganda and we were so lucky to be able to explore the various landscapes and jewels that Uganda has to offer. Charles showed us these with pride which added even more to the experience.
Thank you and thank you again to Charles and the Lulu Safaris team for making this trip of a lifetime give us the goal of returning when we can. Until then, we have some stunning photos to remind us of this incredible experience.

Fast to respond, great guide. Some miscommunications which were resoled.
Booking through Lulu Safaris was quick and easy. They were available on whatsapp which really helped in fine tuning the details. They amended a 3 day tour to become a 2 day tour to fit what we wanted to do and amended the price appropriately. Our guide picked us up from Entebbe airport and was friendly and spoke good English. He was a very good and safe driver, even on very challenging wet muddy steep roads. We did get lost on the first day trying to find our hotel as it was one our guide had not been to before, but this was managed appropriately. Nice accommodation included.
We were taken to gorilla trekking which was a fantastic experience and our guide collected us after this and took us to Lake Bunyonyi. Our guide contacted the accommodation my friend and I had booked and organised a boat for us to pick us up from the drop-off point which was really helpful.
Our itinerary had included all 3 meals on our final day but Lulu Safaris stated this was an error and dinner was not meant to be included. They did eventually resolve this and paid the hotel we were going to an amount to cover the majority of our dinner which felt like a reasonable resolution to an error on their part.

a trip full of once in a lifetime experiences
From the time I booked the tour, Elvis kept me informed of the plans and oversaw that everything ran smoothly.
The tour itself was amazing, from Kigali, to being amongst the golden monkeys and gorillas. It was breathtaking.
The accommodations were comfortable and welcoming.
The whole experience was made more fun by my guide: Derrick and driver: Smith. Both were enthusiastic, entertaining, knowledgeable, and happy to incorporate changes to the itinerary

Amazing, eye-opening experience with our friendly and professional guide, Samuel.
LuLu Safaris gave us the experience of a lifetime. We had very specific requirements (we needed to come back to Kampala for a wedding in the middle of a 9 day safari), and Elvis was very accommodating with the logistics, even though we had to make several changes to our itinerary before arriving. Communication was always prompt and there was never any issue making the changes we needed.
Our time in Uganda was a combination of game drives, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, boat cruises, chimp trekking and gorilla trekking. All of which were fantastic for their own reasons, but the Gorilla trekking truly is a once in a lifetime experience that photos can’t do justice. On our game drives we saw a lot of giraffes, buffalo, antelope, warthogs, monkeys of various types, hippos, elephants, a few lions and even a leopard (and innumerable birds, including the country’s eponymous grey crowned crane). We even had a magical moment on our Kazinga channel cruise where we saw a family of 7 elephants come down to the water to drink.
We had a wonderful time with our driver and guide, Samuel, who was with us through Murchison, Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth. He was a super nice guy, really knowledgable about the animals and was always able to spot things which we could barley see. Samuel also had a great spirit of hospitality (as did everyone we met in Uganda!), was very friendly and always made sure we were on schedule. He was even able to source us another vehicle within 1 hr when our car had clutch trouble on the last day. He made every effort to make sure we had a seamless experience, and we did! He also made sure we had opportunities to stop and buy fruit and snacks from street vendors which was a fun part of the experience.
Booking direct with LuLu is also great value for money. Some friends did a similar tour but booked with through a US agency and it was almost 2x the price. For having a driver and guide 24 hours a day, accommodation with three meals included, this was a really good deal.
I would absolutely recommend to anyone else considering Africa to try LuLu safaris.
