Registration:
Signing the registration form entails the acceptance of the following terms of sale, together with the general terms of sale provided for by Tanzanian law regarding the relationship between tour operators and their customers.
Registration must be followed by the immediate payment of 25 percent of the total cost of the trip, as well as the entire cost of the airfare if Afric’Aventure is purchasing the latter. The reservation will only be deemed valid from the date of reception of this down payment in the account of Afric’Aventure, and is dependant on the availability of places. The entire cost of the trip must be paid and credited to the account of Afric’Aventure no less than 45 days prior to departure. If the entirety of the sum has not been received by this date, Afric’Aventure reserves the right to cancel the reservation without loss or prejudice to the cancellation charges at the customer’s expense.
Cancellation:
If, for any reason, the customer is obliged to cancel their trip before registration, the following fees will be charged to the customer and retained from their down payment:
- over 45 days prior to departure: 5 % of the cost of the trip (including airfare)
- from 45 to 30 days prior to departure: 50% of the cost of the trip
- under 30 days prior to departure: 100% of the cost of the trip
- absence at the time and place of departure: retention of 100% of the cost of the trip
If Afric’Aventure is obliged to cancel a trip due to the lack of participants, bad weather conditions, problems with local organization, major risks to passengers’ security or any other obstacles, Afric’Aventure will be legally bound to reimburse the entirety of fees received, but will not be liable to pay any claims whatsoever for compensation.
Safety and responsibility:
All participants are aware of the dangers involved in a trip of this nature, which include travel in very remote areas (by four-wheel drive, train, boat and small aircraft) as well as many other incidental risks. They fully accept these risks, and undertake to hold neither Afric’Aventure, nor its guides nor any of its local service providers responsible for any accidents that may occur during the trip.
The participants must abide by all regulations and formalities of Tanzanian police, customs and health authorities throughout the journey. All participants are responsible for obtaining full travel documentation including up-to-date passport and visa. Luggage, money and personal effects remain the responsibility of the participant at all times.
Afric’Aventure is acting as an intermediary between the customer and the local service providers: the former must in no way be likened to or assimilated with the latter. Consequently, Afric’Aventure accepts no liability for any problems occurring under the responsibility of its local service providers.
Prices:
Prices are subject to variations at all times due to fluctuations in local currency value, or in the currencies used in the establishment of costs involved, or because of changes in fees for local services. All participants agree, with full knowledge of the facts, to comply with any possible increase in tariff.
Insurance:
All participants will be covered by Amref insurance guaranteeing, within the best possible conditions, rapid air transfer to a hospital in Nairobi (Kenya) (detailed conditions at the bottom of this form).
The participants must have their own insurance for repatriation to the country of their choice and will communicate the details of it on this registration form here below.
We also advise the customer to take out a cancellation insurance which would cover their costs in the exceptional event of the trip being cancelled.
Legal disputes:
The signatory accepts that only Tanzanian law and the courts of Dar Es Salaam are competent to deal with any claims, which might arise between the tour organizers and their customers.
