BASIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF OUR SAFARI PACKAGES
Reservation and Cancellations: When booking your safari with us, please quote the tour code, intended date of tour, number of people traveling and accommodation options. This will help us provide the best services to all our clients.
Gorilla and Chimpanzee tracking is subject to permit availability at the time of booking/confirmation. Pay at least 50% deposit at least a week before departure and the balance before departing for the Safari.
Gorilla permits are sold on a “First come First serve” basis. It’s Very Advisable to always Book In Advance to have Gorilla Permits ready.
However, never hesitate to check with us in case of late booking. NB: Children under 15 are not allowed to trek for Gorillas.
Cancellation: Cancellation of a tour should occur in advance and in written form. Full refund will then be affected. However, the client will meet any costs incurred due to the cancellation such as bank transfer charges.
While hotels generally charge a 50% cancellation within 14-35 days, 75% charge within 2-14 days and 100% charge within 48 hours.
UWA will retain the following percentages on a gorilla permit upon cancellation. 0 – 08 days to tracking date - no refund, 09 – 45 days to tracking date – 75% (25% refund to client), 46 – 90 days to tracking date – 50%, 91 days and above to tracking date – 25% (75% refund to client).
Accommodation: Based on budget and up market rooms: Single rooms may be available with the payment of a supplement fee but cannot always be guaranteed.
Transport: Mode of transport to be used will be dependent on the number of clients and the route taken. English speaking experienced driver/ guides are provided.
Airport transfers and accommodation in Kampala, Entebbe or Mbarara is provided on request.
Other services provided include: - Safari planning and execution - car hire (4 x 4WD, minibuses & salons) - hotel / lodge bookings ,Volunteer-tourism, educational, cultural & group safaris
