5. Good accommodation & food: We stayed two days in tent and two days in hotel. all accommodations are beyond my expectation. we can use high pressure hot water everywhere. Food is also great. I did not know Kenya food is so delicious.

the accommodation at the maasi mara fitted the experience perfectly and situated within walking distance of a Maasi camp, which was interested but as a warning if you visit the camp they will pressure you into buying things. But that's just the camp not Axis.

We have just returned from the most wonderful and amazing Safari. From the start of contacting Axis Africa Safaris (Jan 17 ) to departure (Sept 17) Lennox responded to all of my questions, and there were many, even the recommendation of accommodation was spot on. Read mored to none and we were privileged to see so many animals, more than we had ever hoped for, from the Dung Beetle right up to the beautiful elephants. In one day we saw Cheetah, Leopard and Lions.

He was always full of energy and positive, and humble, and went above and beyond to find all the animals we wanted to see and to get us as close to them as possible. He definitely deserves a raise!

The company itself was very responsive, and Lennox was easy to get in touch with to plan the Safari. Two of our friends from our group had a delay, and Lennox arranged for them to be picked up last minute and connect with the rest of the group while they were on their way already. What a great way to really show commitment in making sure everyone is on the Safari tour and not missing out on this experience, even when unpredictable things happen.

There are many options to choose from, but after my own research I chose Axis and did not regret it! We looked at an $800 USD package at first from another company, and after talking to other travelers that took some of those options, I can confidently say we didn't miss out on much. The actual Safari experience is basically the same - the only thing that's different is the accommodation and food provided (both of which I was really satisfied with from our own package).

If you are on a budget, book this package and rest assured you're not missing out. We managed to see the Big 5 (plus tons of other animals) just as much as people that booked expensive packages did. Also, the 3 day package is generally enough to do most things in the reserver, but get a longer one if time permits.

We went to a 3 day Masai Maara Safari. Lennox is the person we communicated about the safari through email. He was prompt in replying to the queries we asked. Richard was the driver who was very casual to us and he made sure the group was comfortable through out the safari. Our experience with Axis Africa Safari was fantastic. The communications with Lennox were clear and fast. Our driver and guide Richard was great. We had such a good time with him. We saw the big 5 and more in one day and a half. He asked us if we wanted to go to Naivasha Lake as we had already seen all the animals at Masai mara and also went to see Masai village. The price worth it and the camp wa ... Read mores perfect!! Our tend had 3 beds and the bathroom was clean and with hot water. The food was nice, the food you would eat at any place in Kenya.

What an amazing time we had on our tour, able to see the big 5 all in one day! Our driver, James Gichina knew all of the spots and provided lots of information on each animal for us. He allowed us to stay as long as we wanted at each spot and made sure we got the best views of each animal! He was funny, kind, friendly and knowledgable. We will never forget his kind hospitality!

Axis was very well organised, communicative and straightforward in their responses. They accommodated my friend and I on the exact dates we wanted to go even though we booked only a few days in advance. Our guide Joshua was knowledgeable, professional and clear. Read moreari experience overall as a 4 instead of a 5 because my friend and I were stuck in the back of the van the entire drive + game drives, which was extremely bumpy and often uncomfortable. The housing facilities were also quite run down. Word of caution to anyone going - do not visit the Maasai Mara village. It's not worth the money and there are much better ways to visit a local African community if one so desires. Overall, a good value for the money, though I'll probably go for a nicer setup if I return.
