Nice tour and well organized, safe and reliable.
Especially our guide Mr. George Moulinge was exceptionally experienced. On the very first morning, he managed to spot a lion for us! He also has a fantastic sense of timing, always knew when we needed a restroom break and planned the daily itinerary with absolute precision. We had an absolutely amazing experience with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris from start to finish. They went above and beyond to help us see as much wildlife as possible. The accommodations and food were excellent, and the entire trip was very well organised. We highly recommend Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris to anyone planning a safari in Kenya, you will be in very capable hands!
Over all, good
For safari and kept us safe throughout the trip.
Great experience and the guides very helpful. Our guides John, Kelvin and Paul were proactive and engaging
This tour was a fantastic experience and great value. Everything was organized, we just had to go along and enjoy the animals and beautiful nature. Our guide Peter Ndungu was very experienced and knew where to find the animals and get there fast! We got to see the big 5 (including baby lions!) and the great migration crossing the river. Highly recommend!
Our Kenya trip with Axis Safari was honestly an incredible experience from start to finish. Everything was well organised, from the arrangements to the safari itself, and the whole experience was smooth, comfortable and beyond what we expected.
But what really made the trip extra special was our guide, Charles Pili Pili or as we call him, Angkor, meaning “brother.” ❤️
Angkor was hone ... Read morestly one of the best guides we could have asked for. He was extremely experienced, professional, knowledgeable and so much fun to be around. His knowledge of the wildlife was incredible from animal behaviour and tracking to the different parts of the Masai Mara, he always had something interesting to share.
And the best part? He somehow always knew where to take us. 🦁🐆🦒 From cheetahs getting ridiculously close to our Jeep, witnessing a leopard hunt, lions on the move and even the unforgettable wildebeest crossing we experienced moments that I’ll probably never forget.
What makes Angkor stand out is that he doesn’t just “drive you around.” He genuinely understands the wild. He knows when to wait, when to move, where to look and how to respect the animals and their environment. You can really feel his passion and experience every time he speaks about Kenya and its wildlife.
And of course, finding out that our guide is also a famous professional footballer was definitely a bonus! 😂⚽️ Safari guide by day, football legend by… apparently also day. 😂
Throughout the trip, Angkor was more than just our guide. He became our photographer, storyteller, wildlife expert, comedian and most importantly, our brother. ❤️
Huge thank you to Axis Safari for giving us such a memorable Kenya experience, and an even bigger thank you to Angkor for making it truly unforgettable.
If you’re planning a safari in Kenya, I would absolutely recommend Axis Safari and if you’re lucky enough to get Angkor, you’re in very good hands. 🇰🇪❤️
10/10 experience. Would do it all over again.
All the Best Charles Pili Pili / Angkor !

Thank you Axis Safari for unforgettable and amazing experience! Special thanks for our safari guide John Mwangi, who really put in extra effort in every aspect and enabled us to see and experience best of Masai Mara. Knows all the back roads, expert in a avoiding massive traffic, and first human alive to convince the Kenyan police that they were wrong 😊
Ken has been the best guide we could have asked for! He is extremely knowledgeable and has been guiding Masai Mara tours for many years. He knows where to find the animals and got us up close to many lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, etc. He was so kind, made the trip very fun, and answered so many questions for us. Prior to arriving in Kenya, Tabitha was very responsive via email and answered a ... We went for a 6 days budget trip (masai mara, nakuru, amboseli) + 1 day trip to Nairobi NP.
The travel: the car was comfortable with enough space for all the people joning. We spent of course lot of hours in the car, but the stops where planned perfectly.
The parks: there are no words to describe the parks we visited, we were able to see almost all the animals and the great migration. Even if ... Read morethe animals repeats, it's never boring and the landscape changes every time.
The lodges: this was the point that i was afraid of when i looked for the lodges on internet, but as soon as we stepped into the lodges I've find out that they were completely over the expectations and actually very clean, cool, and the food was all right! We've been in the Wild Nest Camp, which i think was better than the one initially on the options (lenchada) at masai mara, buraha zenoni at nakuru, and Manjaro Eco camp at Amboseli. I would like to spend a few for this last camp, the manjaro eco camp, because it was very very far away from a budget camp, the food was very good but the thing that we didn't expected was that we saw animals and had the chance to do some walking outside the camp (and we saw elephants, giraffes and others!), with a stunning view of the kilimanjaro. Peter, the manager, knew how to deal with tourists.
The guides: Andrew was our guide for masai mara and Nakuru, very thanks to him because he always tried his best to make us watch animals from a close distance and the great migration.
Then we changed car and we met Amos, a very expert guide always ready to provide us informations about the parks and the animals. Moreover he has a very safe drive which is rare in kenya. Thank to you too!
The company: i definetly suggest Axis for your safari trip in Kenya, they will provide you the best experience.
Why 4 stars: the only reason i give four stars instead of five is because of the itinerary. In my opinion it should be mentioned that most of the chances to see the cats are at Masai Mara, so it would have been better to do the trip in the opposite way, or focus the masai mara experience on the cats since the other animals are a lot also in the other parks. Also, we went to naivasha for the boat ride, which is very good, but if we only knew that it was such good we wanted for sure to do the walk. I think that with those 2 points fixed it would have been perfect.
Anyway it's a very positive experience that we will never forget. Thanks to Axis and all the team.
See you
We had a fantastic experience with Axis Africa Safaris and would absolutely recommend them for a great-value Kenyan safari. We chose a budget option and were really impressed with how well everything was organized and executed.
