After receiving several quotes, I chose Axis because they were extremely helpful in answering all my questions for our first safari and very flexible in adapting to our needs. The only downside occurred on our first day: our booked lodge was unavailable, and we were initially placed in an alternative option that fell short of our expectations. After some back-and-forth, we were moved to our original lodge and received a partial refund for the inconvenience. While I believe the company should have upgraded us instead of downgrading in that situation (putting customer experience over cost), the overall trip was still wonderful. I would still recommend Axis, especially if you get Mohamed as your guide!
Unforgettable 3-Day Masai Mara Safari with an Exceptional Guide
We had an amazing 3-day, 2-night safari in the Masai Mara, and the whole experience was incredibly well organized from beginning to end.
A special mention goes to our guide, John Mwangi — he was absolutely amazing and by far the best guide we could have asked for. He knows the park inside and out and made sure we saw all of the Big Five, as well as many other animals throughout our safari.

What really impressed us was his knowledge and experience during the game drives. He always positioned the vehicle perfectly to give us the best possible view while keeping a respectful distance from the animals. He also seemed to know exactly where the animals were going to move and what was likely to happen next. It made the whole experience feel truly special.
John also took great care of us throughout the entire trip and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment.
Highly recommended! We had an unforgettable experience and would definitely use John again in the future — especially when we come back with our family. 🦁🐘🐆🦏🐃

An Unforgettable Masai Mara Experience

What we appreciated most was his patience and genuine passion. He never rushed us and always made us feel that every moment in the Mara was special. Whether we were watching lions, elephants, cheetahs, or simply enjoying the incredible landscape, he made the experience even more fascinating with his knowledge and stories.
He was also extremely friendly, helpful, and thoughtful throughout our trip. We always felt safe and well looked after, and spending time with him made the safari feel less like a tour and more like an adventure with someone who truly loves what he does.
We will remember our Masai Mara experience for a very long time, and we are incredibly grateful to John Mwangi for making it so special. If you are planning a safari, I would highly recommend having him as your guide. He is truly exceptional at what he does!

Reliable tour managers for ground level expertise in Safari expeditions
From the time we came in touch with our tour operator (Axis Africa expedition and safaris) they came across as a highly professional group with excellent standards of planning & execution.
We toured lakes Naivasha and Nakuru with our guides Mr. Kevin Apide and Mr.Ahmed.
Both of them were very polite and considerate; they took great pains to bring us in contact with a variety of wildlife.
Later ... Read more we proceeded to Masai Mara with them and stayed at Talek Bush camp; it was an excellent place to stay close to the vast grasslands of Masai.
Later we saw plenty of wildlife especially the including some of the Wildebeest migration which was truly awesome.
I would recommend Axis Africa expedition and safaris to anyone who wishes to experience wildlife in East Africa.

So I got paired with Mr Yasin few days ago and tell you I enjoyed the tour. He was professional and made it easy to enjoy the tour. I did enjoy the later part of my tour and my tour guide was excellent.
