Keeping distance from animals, while other tour operators were just not respecting the rules. That is finally the main reason why I'd recommend this operator. I was saddened to see other operators doing ridiculous things like blocking the lions view during a hunting. Our guide was respectful of the rules and the law, and I appreciate it ! Well organised tour and great safari experience
We chose to do a tour with Axis after researching and making enquiries to a number of safari companies. From the start, Philip was quick to respond to all our queries, and provided us with clear and detailed information. The tour was very well organised, and everything ran smoothly.
We did the 6-day group tour to Masai Mara, Navaisha, Nakuru, and Amboseli. Peter was our safari guide, and he wa ... Read mores brilliant - he knows the parks thoroughly and is a great jeep driver. We saw a huge range of animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and rhinos (basically all of the 'big 5'), as well as lots of different bird species. Peter is hugely knowledgeable about all the wildlife, and enthusiastic to share his knowledge and answer questions. I got a bit of food poisoning halfway through the trip, and Peter was attentive and accommodating, making extra stops and taking us to a pharmacy, which was a real help.
All in all, we would highly recommend Axis. We found them really helpful when we were arranging the safari, and we are really grateful to Peter who gave us a fantastic safari experience.
Trip of a lifetime with Axis! (Rodger is the man!)
We had a fabulousssss 4 night / 5 day safari trip with Axis, led by our friendly, and experienced guide Rodger! Also shout out to Philip who made the booking & payment process so efficient and smooth, as well as adding in our Hot Air Balloon Ride with just a few weeks notice 😊
The safari in & around Masai Mara is what dreams are mafe of! With Rodgers knowledge of the area and great connection ... Read mores with fellow guides and rangers, we were able to see the Big Five (wow), we also visited Masai River and saw Crocs and Hippos!! Lunches were good, long journeys were made comfortable with water and a few stops on route, also the hotels were of good quality (we booked the mid-tier package) all staff are super helpful and friendly.
Rodger also took us around Lake Nakuru Park (my favourite) as felt like an animal's paradise, so amazing to see Rhinos, Pelicans, Flamingos, Giraffes, Hyenas and so much more! I would definitely recommend Axis and Rodger to anyone wanting to do on this type of journey, they're professional, accommodating, reasonably priced - you won't regret it!! 😊
