Wonderful safari with Dennis. Prompt, professional pickup/dropoff, truly amazing safaris in Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara (seeing a cheetah, a few ostriches, a dozen lions including a multi-lion hunt, twenty rhinos, and uncountable numbers of elephants, flamingos, buffalo, hippos, giraffes, zebras, varieties of antelopes, ...). Some points of improvement for the future which don't detract much from the magic of the experience: the radio and phone calls are a bit loud as the guide coordinates with other guides to find the game for you, and the road is quite bumpy/muddy (exacerbated due to rainy season). Otherwise a nearly perfect experience!
Incredible solo trip
I’d thoroughly recommend Axis to anyone thinking of visiting the maasai Mara. I was nervous to go as a solo traveller but I felt completely looked after and comfortable the whole time. I joined a group safari and they couldn’t have made it easier. Picked me up and dropped me off where I was staying and our guide Andrew was brilliant. Fabulous tour - excellent organisation, hotels, safari vehicle and the best guide
I was travelling by myself with my two teenage sons - ages 14 and 13 yrs and this was our first trip to Kenya. We all had an absolutely wonderful time. Axis Africa communicated really well prior to our arrival in Nairobi and everything was super smooth and easy when we arrived. Our tour was really well organized with plenty of variety. My oldest son who pays attention to these things said we had the best vehicle (this matters as quite a few other vehicles were getting stuck in the mud or not able to reach places). And our guide, Khalifa, was the best - he was friendly, helpful, a really competent four wheel driver, excellent at locating and telling us about all the wildlife and just a genuine nice guy. I would definitely recommend this tour, company and guide.

Safari in several nation parks of Kenya is an unforgettable memory. With our guid Johny, we see many kind of wild animals ,elephants,lions,cheetahs ⋯hotels and food are also awesome, hope we can be Kenya again and our guide Jonny is highly recommend!

The tour we booked was really great (Masai Mara, 3 days, 2 nights, accommodation Jambo Mara lodge)! The Landcruiser was comfortable and could handle the rough road to Mara very well. Our guide Kikitu was so well informed about the Masai Mara inhabitants and routes, he suceeded in finding a lot of animals and provided a lot of information with a funny personal touch! Wonderful experience
We've just returned home from a wonderful five-day safari. From Lake Naivasha, to Lake Nakuru, to the Masai Mara; it all just kept getting better. The landscape of the Masai Mara is just magnificent and we've seen such an abundance of wildlife (crossing the big 5 of our lists in just a few hours - and many other interesting animals besides). Read more used his network of other drivers to advantage in finding us Leopards and Cheetahs, and who was not hesitant in going off the beaten track to do so, or in bringing us closer to some lionesses who were eating their kill, or an Elephant matriarch with her week-old baby..
We are testament that a safari is a wonderful experience for young and old, seeing that our group of 4 included a 7-year old and a 75-year old.
Each of the lodges we stayed at was different, all were great; with good food, comfortable beds and friendly staff.

Our driver and guide this time was Kevin, who added an extra pinch of salt to the experience and adventure by not shying away from going difficult places to get the best views of animals.
