Our experience was fantastic! We had Kevin to look after us and he was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and knew exactly where to take us. We felt well looked after. He was super friendly. We saw so many animals! It was a breathtaking experience.

Kevin looked after us so well, he was knowledgeable about the animals in the park, so so friendly, a fantastic driver (we didn’t get stuck in the mud once), he assisted other drivers when they needed it, kept us safe and was a really good laugh. If I seem extraordinarily positive, it’s not because I am a bot (I promise!). There are a few reasons. One is that I am still riding that “post-safari high”. The second is that I want to see my guide Kevin paid in both recognition and money for the great work he did. Above all though, it’s because I had a legitimately amazing experience with every part of the tour.

The tour itself was amazing. Kevin is a consummate professional. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, safe, and fun - he’s everything you want in a tour guide. In fact, he’s everything other tour groups wish they had too (he helped 4 separate tour groups that were stuck in the mud). He ensured everyone in our group was safe and having a good time, and my group and I agreed that he was the single biggest factor in why our first safari was so incredible.
I had a lot of worries about going on a safari, especially as a solo traveller being booked with another group. I cannot imagine having a better safari experience. I know there are plenty of operators and I’m sure many of them are very good. For what the opinion of one stranger is worth, I’ll tell you that I will be recommending Kevin and Axis Africa Expedition to all of my friends and family upon my return. Kevin was amazing and I can’t wait to join him on my next safari.

My 4-Day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru tour was great value for money. Jeff was a fantastic guide with in-depth knowledge of the wildlife and very skilled at navigating the savanna. Accommodation was comfortable and hosts were friendly and accommodating. If I book again, I will request Jeff as the guide. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time in Kenya with Axis safari and our driver - Joseph. He is very friendly and chilled and he did his best to ensure that we saw as many animals as possible even some rare ones / like Gerenuk/. Also he aways managed to direct the car in the best possition for photos and viewing even in situations that there were hardly any space for more vehicles. The traffic in Kenya is crazy ... Funny, informative and always a great time!!
We did our trip from friday to sunday. Got picked up as planned in the morning, had a smooth ride to the destination with a few stops on the way for toilet breaks, views and sovenier shopping. No lunch on the way so when arriving to the lodge we were very hungry! Had a lovely game drive in the afternoon till 6.30 pm when the park closes. I came here while knowing that it is a driver which decides if safari tour is fun or not, and in that sense I greatly enjoyed the tour thanks to the driver guide Yasin. His hospitality is very good to all and it helped a lot that he can talk with my mother language Japanese too. Joyfull experience with JOE
It was a mesmerizing experience at Masai Mara with our excellent guide Joe. To have a great experience at the mara it is important to have the right guide which can make or break your experience. Luckily our guide was very knowledge and took care very well of all in the group. When you book safari with Axis, ask for Joe as your guide.
