Awesome and Wowed

I was looking around for quotes for safari and the parks they visit but felt that Axis offered what I wanted. Lennox was super prompt in replies and all was well-planned for my 5D Mara-Lake Naivasha-Amboseli mixed camp and lodges with a land cruiser.

Our guide Peter is super experienced and knowledgeable. I kind of think there’s probably not much he didn’t know. Haha. His driving is superb ... Read morewith great manoeuvring skills and also always managed to help us find a good spot for photo taking. On top of that he helped us spot many animals along the way. Super friendly and approachable and one whom you can trust.

The places we stayed at were Lenchata Lodge Camp - its like glamping with bathroom at the back. Hot water is available. Jacinta was very hospitable and friendly. Food tasted good as well!

Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge-we love this place because the animals were free to roam around the area, they can be just right behind your backyard.

AA Lodge-in AA they have decent cottage rooms and buffets so we tried quite varied stays at different places.

We saw 4/5 of the big five but it doesn’t disappoint because the 7 of us in the group was just wowed by the whole experience.

I highly recommend Axis as your tour company and Peter as your guide. Throughout the whole safari experience we were all well taken care of and has numerous pictures that wowed our friends and family. Will come back again!

The driver, Kikitu,is a good tourist guide
Rating:

It meet my expectations.
Though there is a flaw (the solar hot water system in my tent was found malfunction at one night) during this journey. But this not Axis Africa Safari's fault.
As a whole, I enjoy this journey so much.

Our driver John was very punctual, knowledgeable, accommodating and made sure our safety and capturing memorable photos were priority. Mara Lenchada camp was rustic, outdoorsy living with a team who took care of our needs. Helen and her staff made sure we were comfortable, fed (local cuisine Only) and had hot water for showering. Electricity is only available in early morning and late evening hour ... Read mores so take backup power sources and lantern if necessary, no electrical outlets in the tents, pack snacks + earplugs if you're easily startled and be prepared for early morning game drives.

We saw all the Big 5 animals and more while touring the Massai Mara in their natural habits and were more than satisfied with the experience. The 4x4 jeep was comfortable and kept us safe while offering adequate access to view everything in a 360 degree direction.

If possible, pack some stuff (snacks, stationery items, small gifts, etc) to donate to the kids at the nearby massai village and school - very memorable experience. Souvenirs made by the ladies of the village will also be on sale. Donations are accepted.

Lanet Matfam Resort and Dove Nest Lodge took us back to hotel living with Kenyan decor and hospitable staff.

Touring Nakuru National Park gave us opportunity to see flamingos among other birds, both the black and endangered white rhinoceros, Columbus monkeys, leopards, giraffes and more!

You have the option of seeing Hells gate National park either by walking, cycling Or via the confines of your transportation. A visit crescent Island for boat ride where you watch hippos plus other wild animals is recommended!

You will not be disappointed!

Amazing Safari
Rating:

The safari experience was amazing. Our guide Peter was very patient and showed us all of the big 5 and the ugly 5. We were able to get close enough to get videos and pictures.

Things to know, if you're getting the tent. You are basically camping. There is an indoor washroom, hot water and beds but it's not fancy. There was no wifi at our camp lenchada so get a sim card. Also bring your power ... Read morebank and more than one charger as generator was only available during peak hours. Food was ok, bring snacks if you eat regularly. Overall all amazing 10 out of 10!

Good quality for the price

The driver was pretty kind and dedicated, he did his best to show us as many animals as possible.
The car, although was quite big, was not actually very confortable, and it is something to keep in mind since you are spending lots of hours in there. Even if there are plug-ins to charge your phones, none of them worked at any time, so you'd better bring your bankpower.
When arrived to the tents, i ... Read moret is good enough, don't have big expectations, the hot water can take up tp 15 minutes to come and there is just one plug-in in the tent. But also, keep in mind where you are, good thing: internet connection available.
The restaurant is actually poor, not much choice and not good quality, so you'd better bring some snacks with you just in case.
The visit to the massaai village can be tricky, you find out, only when you arrive, that you have to pay 1000 KCH entrance fee, they show you how locals live and they ask you for more money, then they take you to the community school and again they ask you for more money and so on... be careful.
In general view, it is worthy as long as you don't have great expectations.

About Axis Safari - I had an excellent trip with Axis Safari. All thanks to Mr. Lennox Eric. He is an amazing guy who was available throughout and help me finalize the itinerary with different price options. He guided me on what is best for me.

Read moret allowed us to watch the animals safely during the game drives. We had a comfortable stay at the hotel. The food menu was OK and has a local flavor with an option of some Indian menu items.

About the Tour Guide - Our tour guide/driver was Mr. Jack for Masai Mara, Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha. He is an amazing guide and driver. We saw some amazing animals and scenery. He was good at finding the animals and positioning the land cruiser at just the right spot for great photos. He is very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals too. He has good knowledge of flora and fauna. He has arranged my last-minute BBQ at Masai village and had an amazing experience in Masai Village. While returning, he took us to meet his mother and spent a few minutes seeing his village and treated us as a Family. He is wonderful and a very jolly person. Thanks Jack for this wonderful and memorable trip to Masai Mara. I will surely visit again with Jack

About the Tour Guide - During our Amboseli trip, Jack was already booked with some other customer, so Mr. Yasin was my tour guide/drive. He is very good, and helpful guy. He is also amazing in finding animals and he took us to different areas in Amboseli and saw many animals around.

About Nairobi – Mr. Abraham was my tour guide to show me the city in a day. He took me to places and discover the city with him. He is very humble and fantastic person.

I strongly recommend Axis Safari for all your Kenya Safari needs. They are honest, helpful, and trustworthy people.
