Reservation and Payment
When booking your holiday direct with Crystal safari Tours and Travel or with your travel agent, please quote the tour number or your own specialized itinerary, intended date for arrival and departure, number of people traveling in your party, sleeping arrangements and flight details, if known. This will ensure that our arrangements are to your satisfaction and concise. Gorilla permits should be booked and paid for at least 3 months in advance. Children under 12 are not allowed to track chimpanzees and children under 15 are not allowed to trek the gorillas.
A down payment of 30% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance to be paid 30 days prior to commencement of the tour. Crystal Safari will receipt your money, thereby confirm your safari. If a reservation is made within 30 days before departure, the entire amount must be made at the time of booking.
Cancellation:
Once you book a tour with us and pay a deposit, this is a sign of your willingness to utilize travel arrangements and accommodation which we reserve on your behalf. Should you or any member of your booking cancel your holiday, you must to so in writing and all cancellations are subject to a certain charge based on cancellation fees levied by hotels, lodges and banks as follows:
20% charge on cancellations made 30-60 days prior to commencement of safari.
70% charge on cancellations made 15-29 days prior to commencement of safari.
100% charge on cancellations made 14 days prior to commencement of safari.
•Gorilla permits are non-refundable
•If you just postpone your holiday to a definite future date, you will not incur cancellation charges
•We reserve the right to deduct all expenses incurred from any money paid.
Transport :
Mode of transport utilized will be dependent on the number of clients and the route taken based on the specifications of the chosen itinerary. Fully trained and experienced English speaking driver/guides are provided.
Accomodation :
Based on twin bedded rooms or tents with private bathrooms where possible. Single rooms may be available with the payment of a supplement fee but not always be guaranteed. Some facilities have available double beds upon request.
Traveler's Insurance :
It is a requirement when booking your safari to buy travel insurance which is valid and effective. Persons not fit for long trips due to heart disease, chronic illness, physical handicap, advanced pregnancy or mental illness are advised not to participate in rigorous travel programs.
Buggage:
All baggage and personal belongings are at all times at the passenger's own risk.
Liability :
All bookings are accepted on the specific condition that Crystal Travel and its agents act only as agents of the passengers in all matters relating to hotel/Lodge accommodations, tours, transport. Etc. Crystal Travel shall not be liable for injury, personal illness, loss or damage to a person or property in connection with any service resulting directly fro act of God, detention, annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, force majeure, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions or regulations and discrepancies or changes in hotel services in which Crystal Travel has no control. Crystal Travel reserves the right to employ sub-contracts to carry out all or part of the services agreed to be supplied. Crystal Travel's liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles is governed by the respective laws of the country. Crystal Travel cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to baggage.
Tour Prices :
Crystal Travel reserves the right to change any of the prices, services or other particulars contained in the itineraries at any time.
Animals Viewing:
When it comes to game viewing, Please be advised there are no guarantees. It is a privilege to see animals in their natural habitat. Take only photograph, leave only a footprint. A gorilla permit guarantees you will trek gorillas to their location but does not guarantee that the gorillas be in plain sight. On advancement of a deposit to Crystal Travel, the depositor agrees to be bound by the above terms and conditions.
