You agree to all the terms and conditions outlined below by confirming your booking with us. Please carefully read through the following:
1. Introduction:
Into Country Tours is a South African tour operator that offers various services and tours. Into Country Tours Pty Ltd is trading as Into Tours and is a licensed and registered South African business 2017 / 492430 / 07. Our company is committed to providing safe, secure day tours and multiday trips in South Africa. We only employ certified tour guides trained in first aid and use reliable and safe vehicles. Our travel demographic includes the following destinations: Cape Town - Garden Route, Port Elizabeth, and Greater Addo in the Eastern Cape.
2. Contract Into Country Tours Pty Ltd will provide tours and/or services based on the following terms and conditions. After you confirm any booking, which will be in effect immediately, the client will accept all terms and conditions. Our advertised rates are valid from 01 March 2023 to 31 March 2024, quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). Our day tour rates are quoted as departing and returning to the destination and city where booked, either Cape Town or Port Elizabeth. Depending on the traveller's circumstances, an additional cost for tours departing and returning to outlying towns or provinces will be quoted. Into Country Tours Pty Ltd will provide transportation, registered tour guide(s), and organise all travel itineraries and tour site(s) as described in the tour itinerary. The quoted rates include all expenses, where applicable, outlined as either included or excluded in the tour information.
3. Group Size
We have established a minimum of 2 persons and a maximum group size of 14 for our scheduled day tours to provide the best experience for all our guests. Group rates for more than 14 travellers are available upon request.
3. Reservations
A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking and final payment must be made at least a week before the tour date. Please check the dates on your quotation and contact us immediately for any errors. After you accept the tour itinerary, a deposit is made to our service providers to secure the reservation/accommodation.
For agent bookings, payment must be made before the traveller arrives.
As a solo traveller, you are welcome to join our scheduled tours. However, please keep in mind that a single supplement rate will apply. If you are the only guest on tour, we will charge the rate for two travellers.
Reservation for the traveller's accommodation is based on two people sharing a room.
Single rooms are available at an additional cost but are only sometimes guaranteed.
4. Changes to Bookings
If you need to change your booking, please don't hesitate to let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. However, changes may only sometimes be possible and may be subject to additional fees.
5. Itinerary Changes
The tour operator, Into Country Tours Pty Ltd, reserves the right to change the itinerary, including the order of stops or the activities included, if necessary, due to weather, road closures, or other unforeseen circumstances.
6. Age Restrictions
If you are interested in booking a tour for your family, we welcome participants of all ages, including children, on most of our day tours. If there is a child rate available, it will be applied accordingly.
7. Open-vehicle game drives
We are happy to let you know that children six years or older are more than welcome to join on a game drive in an open safari vehicle. We offer private guided safaris for families with small children for an additional cost. Sometimes, we also have babysitting services available for an extra fee. Our guided game drive is designed to be safe and comfortable for the entire family, including younger children. We use a tour vehicle suitable for all ages, ensuring everyone can enjoy the experience.
8. Child Policy
We're happy to confirm that children of all ages are welcome on our tours, with exceptions and subject to specific Game Reserves policy and terms and conditions for an open vehicle safari game drive. Our guided game drive is designed to be safe and comfortable for the entire family, including younger children. We use a tour vehicle suitable for all ages and provide additional equipment, such as safety seats for small children and infants, to ensure guest comfort. If you require an infant seat when booking, please let us know. It's important to note that an adult must accompany all children under the age of 17 years. Child-friendly accommodation for multi-day tours is subject to availability and must be booked well in advance. Lastly, we offer a child discounted rate for the age group from 0 to 12, which will be automatically allocated to the tour price.
9. Bookings and Payment
All bookings must be made within 24 hours in advance, and payment must be made in full at the time of booking. We would require a 50% deposit for bookings made months in advance to secure your booking. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer. For agent bookings, we require a deposit, and the remaining balance must be made before the arrival of the traveller.
10. Bookings and Payment
We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Amex credit cards for online and direct bookings via our website. Our approved payment gateway provider offers safe, secure, and PCI (Personal Card Information) compliant online payments. No credit card details are stored on our website. Alternatively, you can transfer into the Into Country Tours Pty Ltd bank account, details that will be available for you.
11. Cancellation and Refunds:
If you ever need to cancel your reservation, we kindly ask that you do so in writing or confirm it in writing if done over the phone. Just so you know, cancellation fees may apply based on the notice provided to Into Tours. A cancellation fee will be charged if you cancel your tour within a certain period. However, refunds may be given in certain circumstances, such as if the tour operator cancels the tour. If you need to cancel your tour, we offer up to a 90% refund for cancellations made 48 hours before the tour. The remaining balance covers admin fees and preparation costs. Lastly, gift experience vouchers that we sell on behalf of our customers that have yet to be redeemed will be valid for up to a year after the date of the experience.
12. Insurance:
We are covered by passenger liability insurance and can give you the details if you'd like. However, we strongly suggest that you take out your comprehensive travel insurance, including medical cover, travel, and credit card insurance, to protect yourself from any unforeseen events or emergencies that may occur during your trip. So that you know, Into Country Tours Pty Ltd does not cover this.
12. Health and Safety:
You are responsible for ensuring you are healthy and fit to travel. You'll also need to follow all safety instructions our guides and staff provide. Participants must follow all health and safety guidelines provided by the tour operator. This may include wearing appropriate clothing and footwear, following instructions from the tour guide, and informing the tour operator of any medical conditions or concerns.
12. Liability:
The tour operator, Into Country Tours Pty Ltd, is not liable for any loss. They accept no liability for any damage, injury, or death that may occur during your trip. It's important to note that all activities are participated in at your own risk.

As part of our standard sales conditions, we require all guests to sign a waiver and indemnity form. Before your tour starts, please inform us of any health risks or significant injuries/operations. We have implemented specific measures to ensure the safety of our employees and guests, including maintenance of our tour vehicles' hygiene and sanitation. Our team is also working to meet the latest guidance on preventative procedures and risk avoidance. If you have any more questions or concerns, please let us know.
12. Force Majeure:
We reserve the right to cancel or alter any trip due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseen events.
13. Privacy Policy:
We respect your privacy and will not share your personal information with anyone else unless it is required by law. We respect our clients' privacy and have a strict policy regarding collecting and using client information.
14. Complaints:
If you have any complaints or concerns during your trip, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing [email protected] so that we can address the issue as soon as possible.
15. Governing Law:
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the country in which the tour takes place.
16. Intellectual Property:
All content produced by us during the tour is our property and may be used for marketing and promotional purposes. We kindly request that you do not copy, modify, or change any of our documentation or information without our permission
17. Business Rights:
The tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is disruptive or poses a safety risk to themselves or others. The tour operator also reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tours due to unforeseen circumstances or low participation.
18. Code of conduct:
Travellers may not carry any unlawful articles or substances while travelling in the Southern African region. We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is disruptive or poses a safety risk to themselves or others. Our staff members have been briefed about the nature and severity of related viruses to ensure their and our guests' safety.
19. Gratuities:
Tips are not included in the tour price; however, they are welcomed if we’ve done a great job!
20. Complaints and disputes:
We have a clear policy for handling complaints and disputes and take all feedback seriously.
21. Communication policy:
We strive to maintain open communication with our clients before, during, and after the tour, and we are always available to answer any questions or concerns. Feedback: We value feedback from our clients and use it to improve our services continuously.
22. Social media policy:
We love sharing pictures of our guests on our social media platforms during the tour, and by booking your tour, you consent to our sharing.
23. Shore Excursions in South Africa
Our port-of-call tours are designed to fit your ship's schedule, and our local guides provide invaluable insider knowledge about each destination. Additionally, our Back-To-Ship Guarantee and Flexible Cancellation policies allow you to enjoy your experience without any worries.
24. General Information:
To ensure our tours are enjoyable and comfortable, we use registered tour vehicles appropriate to each tour's requirements. However, we would like to inform you that Into Tours shall not be held liable or responsible for any death, loss of limb, injury, illness, or loss or damage to property and belongings resulting from a traveller's participation in any tour.
We must know about any allergies or medical conditions the travellers might have to ensure their safety. If applicable, please inform us about any special dietary requirements for tours, including a meal/snack. Some of these requirements might attract an additional cost.
Into Country Tours Pty Ltd reserves the right to change this agreement or any part thereof without notice. Our tour activities and services sold through Into Tours are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to adjust prices in accordance with increases in service providers' costs, transport costs, and currency fluctuations. In case of cancellation due to weather, we will either reschedule the tour or provide an alternative activity.
The tour operator also reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tours due to unforeseen circumstances or low participation. We strive to provide accurate information in our brochure/itinerary and price schedules, but we accept no liability for any errors or inaccuracies contained therein.
