Patrick and Livingston did a great job. We really enjoyed the trip; the lodges were great. A substitute camp at Amboeseli was a little rustic but served our needs. The wildlife sightings were amazing.
Thank you for your honest comment Julie and Kent. The substitute camp that we went for to save the situation disappointed us but this will be avoided at all cost by early preparations next time. Thank you
Had issues with Visas and flights into Kenya delaying our trip. Mateo was extremely accommodating being able to change our plans until we got to Nairobi. They are very friendly and the driver is extremely knowledgeable about the reserve. Seemingly knowing where all the animals are across the reserve.
We arrived in the off-season and expected to see only elephants and birds, but we saw more than we expected!
We met a lot of giraffes, wildebeests, gazelles, monkeys, warthogs, herd of elephants and a wide variety of birds. The trip was unforgettable. Special thanks to Patrick and Livingston the are provided support on all levels.
Highly recommend and will definitely be back in the summer!
We did the two-days safari in Masai Mara with Patrick. He was very available to provide information to us and answer all of our doubts in the days prior to the safari. The experience was amazing, we got to visit a Masai village and during the safari we encountered almost all of the big five, plus many other animals. I would highly recommend this experience with Mateo Travel and Adventure.
I'm so much humbled by your honest review. Come back to Kenya one more time for better experience
We had a wonderful safari in Masai Mara with Patrick and Mateo Adventures. The booking process was smooth, and Patrick consistently ensured our comfort and well-being throughout the tour. We had in fact two tour guides and were provided water and snacks during the ride. The journey from Nairobi to Mara was an exceptional experience in itself - passing through smaller towns, we gained a glimpse int ... A valuable tip for those visiting Masai villages is that you're not obligated to make purchases, and if you choose to do so, bargaining is recommended, as these villages are very touristy. Our stay at the Goshen Mara camp, while low budget, provided an authentic safari experience in the middle of nature and met our needs. We would have wished for the mosquito nets to not have holes, but that's the camp's responsabilty.
The experience was so amazing in your company! All that were perfect to remain and any that needs improvement will be perfect. I'm grateful
A really great experience in the Masai Mara Park. Thanks to our tour guide Patrick!
Attending to you was such an awesome experience! I'm humbled by your honest review!
This four day hike was absolutely stunning. The team, Patrick, Charles, Leonard, Joseph, Maina, and Antonio went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed to the fullest. The views were stunning, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the hike was a great balance of feeling challenged but safe with the team. Lots of shared memories, laughs, and adventure we’ll surely remember! Couldn’t recommen ... Read mored more.
You were so awesome Daniela! I'm grateful for your honest review
My friend and I had an amazing time spending 4 days hiking up and down to the summit of Mt Kenya.
Patricks’ organisation included a 3 hour transfer from Nairobi through the stunning Kenyan countryside.
Once at Mt Kenya, our guide Charles and his team of porters made every effort to make us comfortable during the hike, carrying all our bags, providing some very tasty meals 3 times a day (wh ... Read moreich impressive considering they have to carry everything on their backs), sharing their local knowledge about the mountain, and answering all our weird specific questions about plants, birds, rocks, and glaciers!
The first day consisted of the transfer and walking from the hike to Moses cabin (3000m) where we had rented some seriously thick sleeping bags for the night. Along the way you might see Zebra, Baboons, and Waterbuck.
On day 2 you hike 6 hours through some beautiful valleys up to Shipton cabin (4000m) surrounded by amazing landscapes, plants, and wildlife. Once at Shipton it gets quite cold so remember to pack multiple thermals, thick socks and jackets.
On the 3rd day, we woke up at 3am to ascend to the summit (4800m), this was a tough ascent on scree and snow but well worth the feeling of standing in an other worldly environment seeing the sunrise. Charles and the other guides always put our safety first, cutting a path through the frozen snow for us on the way back down. We decided to get some extra sleep outside on a rock surrounded by the mountains and were treated to a picnic breakfast in our sleep bags by the team which was a unique surprise!
The you to walk then back through the valleys to Moses camp in preparation to hiking down to the gate and the transfer back to Nairobi on the 4th day.
Thanks to Patrick, Charles, and the team for organising and taking us on an amazing adventure that we will remember for the rest of our lives!
Sam your company was amazing and taking you through the process was all fun! I'm humbled!
My husband and I had a great experience on our safari with Mateo Adventures from the beginning to the end of the trip. We were able to keep our luggage at their office before the journey as we had one luggage which was big. Amazing meals all throughout the trip and Patrick, our guide was the best! He knew where to spot the animals and we got to see the big 5. I recommend this tour for everyone!
Thank you Rita on your honest review. We are glad you enjoyed the safari with us. Looking forward to your referrals as earlier discussed.
Have a great time back in Latvia
