It's creation was inspired by Alistair Boyd who at the age of 22 accepted HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s challenge to students to go around the world starting with £5. His journey adventurous journey was later recorded in his book entitled Royal Challenge Accepted. He is currently the Patron of the company (ATT)
