Terms and Conditions of Wajefya Expedition
These Terms and Conditions (the "Agreement") govern your booking and use of services provided by Wajefya Expedition. By booking or using our services, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Booking and Payment
Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment, depending on the package selected. A confirmation email or voucher will be sent to the Client once the booking is confirmed.
Payment Terms: A deposit of 30-50% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to departure unless otherwise specified. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Currency: All payments must be made in the currency specified by Wajefya Expedition, usually USD or Tanzanian Shillings.
2. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Client: Cancellations must be made in writing to Wajefya Expedition. The following cancellation fees will apply:
More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus a processing fee of 10% of the total cost.
30-60 days before departure: 50% refund.
Less than 30 days before departure: No refund.
If the Client fails to arrive on the scheduled date of departure, no refund will be issued.
Cancellation by Company: Wajefya Expedition reserves the right to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, political instability, natural disasters). In such cases, clients will be offered a full refund or an alternative tour of similar value.
3. Travel Insurance
It is strongly recommended that Clients purchase travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations, medical emergencies, personal injury, loss of luggage, or any other incidents during the trip. Wajefya Expedition is not liable for any such occurrences.
4. Health and Safety
The Client is responsible for ensuring they are in good health and capable of participating in the selected activities (safaris, trekking, etc.). Wajefya Expedition may require a health declaration before confirming certain bookings, especially for activities such as mountain climbing.
The Client is advised to check with a healthcare provider regarding required vaccinations or medications before traveling to Tanzania.
5. Changes to the Itinerary
Wajefya Expedition reserves the right to modify or adjust the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather conditions, wildlife availability, or government regulations). The Company will notify the Client as soon as possible and provide an alternative solution when necessary.
6. Liability
Wajefya Expedition strives to provide a safe and enjoyable experience. However, the Company will not be held responsible for accidents, injuries, illnesses, or damages that occur during the trip, except where required by law.
The Client accepts full responsibility for their personal belongings, and Wajefya Expedition will not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property during the trip.
7. Behavior and Conduct
Clients are expected to behave respectfully towards other travelers, guides, and local communities. Wajefya Expedition reserves the right to remove any Client from the tour if their behavior is disruptive or violates local laws or cultural norms, without refund.
Clients must adhere to all local regulations, wildlife protection laws, and instructions given by guides during safaris, treks, or other activities.
8. Force Majeure
Wajefya Expedition is not liable for delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, or other force majeure events.
9. Indemnity
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Wajefya Expedition, its employees, agents, and partners from any claims, liabilities, losses, or damages arising out of the Client’s participation in the tour, except where such claims arise due to the negligence of the Company.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Wajefya Expedition values your privacy. The personal information provided by the Client will only be used for booking purposes and will not be shared with third parties without the Client’s consent unless required by law.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tanzania.
12. Miscellaneous
These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
By booking with Wajefya Expedition, the Client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
