HISTORY
MJ Safaris Uganda was founded by a young professional entrepreneur, James Mwere. He set up the professional company with the intention of identifying with the client’s needs and identities that is why our slogan is The Safari People. The company’s desire is to be the leading tour company in East Africa taking care of the needs of their clients by fulfilling their dream safaris, vacations, holidays and other tour and travel needs.
VISION
The vision of MJ Safaris Uganda is to develop an indigenously owned tour company with international partnerships and networks that will operate in the entire East African region, which includes Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya and Tanzania. We seek to provide a first-rate flexible service to our customers and promote the image of East Africa as an unequalled tourism destination in the world.
MISSION
To provide high quality safaris, tours and guiding services across Uganda and the entire East African region. We design tailor made tour packages that suit our guest’s needs and budget as well as pre-designed set departure group tours. This however does not limit our guest’s option as they can still design their personal packages with the help of our highly skilled safari consultants.

SALES & MARKETING
We work closely with the Ugandan tourism board, the Uganda Wildlife Authority, Uganda Safari Guides Association and the Association of Uganda Tour Operators in order to guarantee quality service, flexibility and consistency. In addition, the company is at the forefront of marketing Uganda and strives to expand its international collaborations.
STAFF
MJ Safaris Uganda team is made up of 15 capable and competent office staff and high qualified driver/guides and tour leaders, who all possess the requisite academic qualifications and years of valuable experience. Among us we speak a range of European and African languages, including English, Dutch, Italian, Swahili, Luganda, Spanish, Germany and French and many other local dialects found all across East Africa, empowering us to manage and handle all of our guest’s tour requirements right from conception to operation to closing, for optimal satisfaction.
