Naenda Safaris uses highly experienced and trained drivers and guides. They have wide understanding of the plants and animals of Tanzania. Ask about insects, plants, and animals and they will be able to explain them in great detail! For cultural experience they will take you to sensitive area to see different human life style on the earth surface in Africa from bush to town.

Naenda is a unique safari company in several ways.
First, it is among the 5% of safari companies that is owned and operated by a Tanzanian. Jesse, the founder and owner designed the business from the knowledge he gained both through his formal training and his years of work as an independent driver. He has taken his life lessons and applied them to the policies of the company. For example, he pays his driver a wage; the majority of companies expect their drivers to live only on their tips. He hopes to build even more company loyalty by offering them a chance to become investors and part owners of the company. All of this means increased loyalty to the customer, their comfort, safety and satisfaction.
Naenda also supports University field researchers, professional photographers, volunteers and companies involved in pre-business development activities.
Naenda Safaris is the first true social business safari company in Tanzania. Naenda uses the Grameen Social Business model which was developed by Muhammad Yunus, the Nobel Peace Prize winner for his work with Micro-credit loans and the development of Social Businesses. This means that part of profits generated each year (5%-10%) are donated directly support a Tanzanian Non-Governmental Organization. No one associated with the company; even investors, receive no dividends, bonuses or incentives.
Naenda’s charity of choice provides community-based programs for children with intellectual disabilities and their caregiver and orphans. The company also focuses on providing market for their local product to help them gain employment and help lift them out of poverty.
Wheel Chair Accessible Safari
Travelling is always an adventure, especially when you have a disability or need some extra help. With Naenda Safaris our team will be there to assist wherever requested/needed, whether you just need help with the planning and to make sure you have accessible accommodation or transport, or would like assistance with daily chores- anything is possible!
With our training and local knowledge we will ensure a Safari itinerary specially design to meet the individual needs of your own group.
Tracking wildlife in Africa is an incredible experience for anyone, and disability/restricted mobility need not be a hindrance to this unforgettable adventure.
Our safari vehicles are adapted and have access ramps and a Europen wheelchair locking system to ensure safe travel and hand for those guests who prefer to remain in their seat instead of making a transfer into a regular car seat.
Our driver/guide has a lot of experience and will make sure you can enjoy your holiday without worries and allow you to discover the wonders of African wildlife and cultural diversity.
We work with a wide range of safari lodges, tented camps, hotels, beach resorts and self catering cottages all of whom have made a lot of progress incorporating wheelchair access over the last few years.
All major National Parks now have either a lodge or camp with good access and you are not limited to visit certain area only.

An African Safari is a feast for all of the senses, and being here is about more than just seeing. The sounds of the African night, as lions call each other and the savannah comes to nocturnal life, followed by the great dawn chorus as a multitude of birds greet the rising sun - this is one of the great African experiences.

Naenda Safari organizes University Research Safari for the students and professors who come for work ranging from ecological studies, to animal and plant life research and to those studying culture and history.
What is a University Research Safari?
University research safaris involve some kind study or cultural exchange, physical activity or journey into nature. It usually means stepping (or rolling) out of your normal comfort zone to some degree.
Our programs are tailored to suit individual requirements, aiming to impress even the discerning traveler with our insight into little known tour and safari destinations throughout the region; which we tender at the best possible price.
We find that individuals or groups conducting research need special arrangements...some days on the ground some in the field, and other times working or writing back at their local home base. Others need to make periodic trips because their research is conducted over time.
Having a consistent contact and friend (Naenda Safaris) allows the researcher to do their work and rely on others for the logistics.
